April '25 Remix It! Challenge
April '25 REMIX IT!
Hey everyone, we're back with another Remix-it challenge and thank you for the amazing responses on our March Remix-it.
The Horned One
The Fledgling Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus) is an endearing, young version of one of North America’s most iconic raptors. At this stage of its life, the fledgling is transitioning from its early, downy plumage to the adult feathers that will eventually give it the unmistakable, regal appearance of its species. These owls are most famous for the "horn-like" tufts of feathers on their heads, which, while present in adults, are not as prominent in the young. Instead, fledglings tend to have softer, fluffier feathers, often with a mix of gray, brown, and white down that provides camouflage in their natural woodland and forested habitats.
