Photoshop

Same thing happened to me with Photoshop. I had to rebuild my system twice and lost the ability to load my perpetual license. To fix the problem is a simple database update, changing the count from 2 to zero but they refused to do it. I have thousands of photoshop files, never thought it would be a problem until my last system rebuild. Now I have a perpetual license that I can use and am forced to pay monthly. Adobe is especially bad at driving everyone to their rent your software model so they can get a constant revenue stream because the software is at EOL but they still want to make money on it.

After using the lasso tool to select the unwanted area, click generate in the floating toolbar. When the 3 options come up, select one. Upon clicking the background layer and the selection tool, when zooming in on the photo to continue editing, it stays pixilated and unresolved.  Tried all of the standard troubleshooting, including updating graphics card. 

I don't know what's happening, the same thing again, it doesn't complete the PS update and when I press cancel, I have to reload the PS program, when I open it everything is lost, all custom samples (brush, action). I wrote to Adobe, unfortunately, no answer. Obviously, I will have to terminate the cooperation, because for such a monthly payment, as a customer, I would expect them to fix the problems. I simply can't download the fourth version of the PS update.

Photoshop suddenly began displaying Lightroom images incorrectly until toggling Proof Colors (Command+Y). Around the same time, I had an action I used regularly to produce a sun flare, and all of the sudden the Gradient Fill colors no longer match the same HEX/RGB values used previously. Existing TIFFs when the colors were applying correctly and exported back to lightroom display correctly when opened in photoshop again, but newly created gradients appear less saturated despite identical RGB values. Photoshop preferences have been reset, i've uninstalled and reinstalled, and the issue persists.

I have uninstalled Photoshop 2026.  And attempted to reinstall Photoshop 2026, version 27.9.1.  It won’t install on my Apple iMac desktop computer.  macOS Tahoe 26.5.1. Any help is greatly apppreciated.  

You keep removing useful shortcuts and established habits that long-time users rely on. I genuinely do not understand what kind of product decisions are being made here. Why are you constantly changing features, hotkeys, and default settings that have worked perfectly well for years—especially when users have built their workflows around them?It feels as though changes are being made simply to make the software look “updated,” rather than to solve real problems or improve the user experience. Not every long-standing behaviour needs to be redesigned just because someone prefers a different way of working.For example, in Photoshop, transforming an object used to be free from aspect-ratio constraints by default, while holding Shift preserved the proportions. You simply reversed that behaviour. Why? This was a familiar, efficient workflow for countless users, yet it was changed without any meaningful benefit to the people who actually use the software every day.

Running on RTX 5070Ti with latest Studio Drivers and latest 2026 Photoshop as of July 2026, and Photoshop crashes everytime I use Selection Brush Tool and click “Remove” in the bar. When only using the Remove Tool no issues, but interestingly the Brush Tool creates better results most of the time. Hoping for a fix soon.

Markup and Tune tools are missing in AI Assisted Editor.AI Assisted Editor is enabled in my updated Photoshop 2026, but the Markup and Tune tools are missing from the toolbar.The only available tools are:Prompt Fill Remove Crop and expand Upscale Remove backgroundI have tested both Photoshop 2026 and Photoshop (Beta) 27.11.0 on macOS. I also opened JPG/PNG images directly instead of adding them as reference images, but Markup and Tune still do not appear.Adobe’s AI Assisted Editor documentation shows that Markup and Tune should be available. Simply went to open Photoshop.  Intro screen came up and little blue wheel was spinning but then it just stopped, no messages, etc.  Went through various potential solutions on Adobe and on the internet.  Nothing worked. Finally uninstalled and reinstalled through Creative Cloud.  Had put it in “Run as Administrator” in trying to solve the problem.  Changed that and Photoshop ran once.  When attempting to reopen it again, it would not run.  Lightroom works.  The Beta version of PS works.  

Tool creates weird pixel artifacts, GPU setting workaround doesn't work (v27.10.0)When using the Remove Tool in Photoshop, instead of removing blemishes, weird pixel artifacts appear with every stroke.I have checked other threads on this issue. Workarounds like unchecking "Use Graphics Processor" do not solve the problem for me.This is often dismissed as a "Beta version bug," but I am currently running full release version 27.10.0 and the issue persists. Is there a permanent fix or a known bug report for this?

I click the app and nothing opens it just spins and nothing opens

I've been working on a big file that has many layers sorted into groups and all of a sudden I find that all the layers within each group have become invisible. I normally click on a group and that group then becomes visible, but now it does not because all the layers within it have become invisible. In order to make the whole group visible I have to now open it and click the Eye icon on every layer and open every group within the group and do the same.How has this happened? And surely there must be an easier way to make all the layers within a group visible? I've searched for ages, looked in the instructions, but no luck.Does anyone understand what I mean?

This happens when I'm trying to open Photoshop. I did the suggested reset of preferences, restarted and it worked briefly. But I closed it down because I couldn't get the remove tool yo work without an error. Also, neural filters options had disappeared. I am finding Photoshop so frustrating. Every time it updates, something doesn't work. This issue isn't due to an update since last time.  Any help would be appreciated 

When using the default, “Soft Round Pressure Size” brush in Photoshop, I am experiencing an issue I’ve found out to be called the “shoelace” or “aglet.” You can see it in the images I’ve provided, but essentially, I have these small “aglets” at the ends of my strokes when using pen pressure as the control for the size of my brush. These “aglets” appear no matter the setting, driver, hardware, user profile, or pen-tip adjustments that I’ve tried so far. In my experience, what I’m seeing is a light “hotspot” when I put my pen down (if using opacity/flow below 100%), and when I pull up, I get the aglets. I am in a digital illustration class, and my professor uses this brush for our exercises, making it difficult for me to keep up with the class.Below I will list out, to the best of my ability, my relevant hardware/software specs as well as the diagnostic tests I’ve tried. Copying one setting from a settings category now causes all settings within that category which were not copied to reset to default value upon pasting.  For instance, if I have a handful of images with various configurations set under “Light”, and I choose to copy only the “Contrast” setting from that category and paste it to the other images, it will copy the contrast setting successfully but zero out all other settings under the “Light” category.  This is new behavior, as I have been able to copy and paste contrast additively without it resetting all the other sliders under “Light” up until now. Also, the behaviour is inconsistent - sometimes it does what I want (pastes contrast setting and leaves the rest of the settings under “Light” alone), and sometimes it wipes all other settings and only retains the updated contrast setting. Lightroom version: 9.5.1 x64 [ 20260815-1945-84a45bf ] (Aug 15 2026)NGL Version: 1.43.0.5WF Version: 8.5 20b9f90VF Version: 1.0.164HIL Version: 40501CAI Ve
