Photoshop

I'm having trouble masking a dark island from a distance in a near grayscale picture.   I have a video that came out terrible becasue of the clouds and lighting situation.  It's out the window of a plane taking off at a remote island.  After converting the video to PNGs and using the various landscape filters in ACR and Lightroom Classic, I was able to add color and turn them into something completely attractive. For the final minute or two of the video, the plane is so far away from the island that ACR can't recognize the island as vegitation or mountains, however the island is much darker than the water and sky.  I tried using the Color Range and Luminance Range masks to isolate the island, however it keeps selecting more of the picture than I want. Can someone recommend to me the best way to mask just the island? Note - I'm using the "sync" feature to apply the masks across several thousand pictures.  Keep in mind the plane is moving so t

When animating in Photoshop, and moving the playhead left or right, it doesn't select the actual visible layer of the video group I'm working on, and I have an annoying message saying I can't draw on the layer on screen. I have to manually select the layer I see to be able to paint on it.Is it possible by script to automatically select the layer you see when moving playhead ?

When my animation is not at 30 fps, I can't cut a video layer when theres only one frame after the playhead.I have to pull the end of the layer to add 1 frame to be able to split my layer.Split at playhead only works when there's at least two frames after the playhead.The problem doesn't seems to appear when the animation is at 30 fpsThanks ! OS : Windows 11PS version : 26.8.1

Feature request - Break apart smart objects with embedded vectors linked to Illustrator, into native Photoshop shape layers.   This would similarly work like the "break apart" feature from Flash back in the day, a means of un-nesting a vector object into the most root level type of vector native to photoshop.   This is to work around some files layered this way from Adobe Stock and files done by graphic designers that just happen to work this way.   It would then prepare an easy way to convert artwork from .PSD to .AI by easily exporting to Illustrator.    

Hello, I use the Microsoft Slim Pen 2 on a Surface Laptop Studio. In Microsoft apps (Surface App, Whiteboard, Journal), the haptic feedback works perfectly. However, in Photoshop 25, the haptic vibrations are not supported.Please consider adding support for the Windows Ink Haptics API so that haptic feedback is also available in Photoshop. Is it possible to have the option for a client to upload a refrence image when is reviewing the asset?For example (i work as comicbook artist) i submit a drawing for review (with Share to review) and send the link to the client. they have the option to comment using a pin or with a pen, but is it possible to them upload a reference image as well?and ofc, aside of that, i would like to leave a suggestion for the file to review to be available for download as well 

Ich würde mich über ein neues Feature wie "Pfad aus Objekterkennung" freuen. Eine automatisierte saubere Variante eines Pfades auf Basis von KI. Das derzeitige Toleranzfeature nach Auswahl reicht mir nicht aus (Gleichbehandlung aller Abschnitte und oft sehr unsaubere Ergebnisse). Auch soll bei einer Kreisauswahl dann z.B. an den Extrempunkten (oben, unten, links, rechts) ein Pfadpunkt entstehen und nicht random sehr viele oder nur 3, die in Summe eine komische Form ergeben. Das würde auch z.B. bei der Schrifterstellung deutliche Vorteile bringen.  

So wie man perfekt Drähte und Kabel entfernen kann, wäre es vorteilhaft, wenn man auch Gitter-Zäune (chicken fence) feststellen und entfernen könnte.

Hi everyone! After reinstalling one of the PCs in our company, Photoshop has started acting strangely. We process images using custom actions and scripts across four PCs (all running the same updated Windows 11 Pro and updated Photoshop). The three older installations work perfectly, but the newly reinstalled one keeps generating temp files and rapidly filling up the hard drive.These temp files are PNG masks of selections (see attached). Even after closing Photoshop, the files remain in the temp folder. The exact same action set behaves normally on the other PCs, so I’m not sure where to begin troubleshooting this.Any ideas?

I did simple height to normal map filter and it looks like working. Then  I did simple blur  filter for rgba input  and it doesn't?   did a simple pixel processor filter that  adds values to RGBA input  and it doesn't work .    Can you use sbsars to make our own filters for photoshop  or we can't?    and can we make them work in document native resolution?

I see that  image have to be exactly power of 2  to works pixel accurate in ultra resolution.   Grayscale inputs work mostly .    .  But when I try to use layer transparency as secondary input  to primary RGB  one  i see nothing . I want to recreate slope blur  in Photoshop.   Can I do it?      With chat GPT  finally starting to do actually working scripts    I am trying to do a sort of come back to Photoshop  that collected lots of dust at my PC  few recent years.   An ability to do custom  live filters  by Designer  like  height to normal map conversion, live frequency separation  tricks and so on  is so cool .    Yet I still don't understand why one  SBSAR works perfectly fine  and another one doesn't work at all.     What are the  limitations?    Chat GPT tells

Was just trying to open a .jpg and this keeps popping up. I've done everything under "Learn how to fix", deleted presets, disabled GPU excelleration, updated windows, updated graphics drivers, disabled graphics drivers, uninstalled, re-installed an older version, restarted my computer - I did everything. I checked the forums and it's all the same advice and mostly frustrated people in the comments with no resolution still even though Adobe has known since 2021 based on the dates of the posts. I guess my post is just to let Adobe know that the bug still persists. Unfortunately, I don't have anymore time to troubleshoot this. If I can't even fix it with an uninstall/reinstall, I'm going to have to cancel my subscription because Photoshop has been rendered useless. 

Hi, I have a large image that I am cropping several pieces out of.  In terms of upres'ing these smaller images, Is it best to use LR super resolution and then export the smaller crops (upresing after if nec)?  Or is it best to output from LR and then upres?  What is the best way to upres if after LR? Mac 15.6.1PS 26.11.0LR classic 14.5.1

How to prevent/remove the shadow that forms on a transparent background when you use chiseled text.  Files are for T-shirt printing so no faded or semi transparent parts of the image will work.  Workin on a PC.  Thank you in advance!

I cannot get my Neural Filters presets.  I am running Photoshop 2025 Version 26.11.0 on a MacBook running Sequoia 15.6.1.  I can click on Filters > Neural Filters.  I have successfully downloaded the Landscape Mixer.  I have a fully populated filter directory folder …/PHSP/26/internal/com.adobe.nfp.gallery/ which includes landscape and preset directories amongst others.  I have erased this directory structure and re-downloaded  the filter 3 times.  When I choose Landscape Mixer and then activate the button there are no presets, simply a large blank black panel.  I have logged out of Creative Cloud and all Adobe Apps and successfully logged back in 3 times.  When I launch Photoshop I show as logged in.  My internet connection is fast and stable. Can anyone help me with why presets do not show in Neural Filters.

llevo varias semanas con problemas tanto en photoshop normar como en version beta. o bien no me abre el programa, se queda pensando y no llega a abrir o bien cuando se abre camera raw y voy provando visualizacion de diferentes presets se queda clavado y no reacciona. acabo teniendo que cerrar el programa des de ctr shi esc. me pasa con la ultima actualizacion y tambien con las anteriores. para mas datos tiempo atras me pasaba lo mismo con la herramienta borrar. alguna idea de que puede estar sucediendo ?

i use release 26.11.0 of photoshop on windows 10. when i move the content of a layer or a mask only one moves.of course both mask and layer a linked so they should move both. i already reseted the photoshop preferences, rebooted etc. i am the only one with this problem? 

To resize proportionally, one has to hold down the Shift key while moving a corner handle. Unfortunately, this disables the snapping to smart guides: when view>snap guides is active, resizing a layer is supposed to auto-align to the edges of other layers, but it is not the case when doing it from a corner handle while holding down shift, a common practice. Shift-resizing a middle handle does respect the wanted snapping behavior. CTRL is the shortcut supposed to disable snapping, not Shift.

I love using the keyboard shortcut to open a new layer bypassing the dialog box by using Shift+Ctrl+Alt+n however, probably since the last update it no longer works. The standard Shift+Ctrl+n works fine but you then have to hit enter of click the OK button to create the layer. When I press the buttons nothing happens except I get a double arrow black on top of a white one.Has anyone having a similar experience?Anyone got any ideas about this query, thanks in advance.Photoshop 26.11.0Windows 11
