Photoshop

When Sidecar is enabled and my iPad Pro is setup as a separate display Photoshop is not recognizing my internal AMD Radeon Pro 5500M graphics card, instead instead it defaults to my MBP's integrated graphics.  The effect of this is screen redraw artifacts. Or the screen won't redraw at all even though if you save the document and reopen it the layer did move. When you disconnect Sidecar and restart Photoshop everything operates properly. My configuration is: 16" Macbook Pro2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i964 GB MemoryAMD Radeon Pro 5500M (Internal)Radeon RX Vega 64 8 GB (eGPU)Wacom Cintiq Pro 24" (connected via eGPU)MacOS 10.15.5PS 21.2

I do my best to not use Adobe Bridge. It has a nice batch renaming function; but for the most part, it's like a vestigial appendage: I haven't had any need or desire to use it in over 10 years. For all these years, when I close a file in Photoshop, Bridge would auto launch and I would have to keep closing it. It was extremely irritating. I'm on a work computer that does not have Bridge installed. Every time I use Cmd-Shift-W to close a file in Photoshop, the Creative Cloud desktop app is auto launching and attempting to install Bridge. PLEASE STOP THIS. I would prefer to have the choice to only use the apps I want to use and for the Adobe suite to not keep trying to do something that I do not want it to do. This has been happening for years. I may have submitted a feature request years ago about it. It's very frustrating. Thank you.

Hi All,This is my first post ,I’m using Photoshop version 24.7,      and I’m not familiar with scripting.I want to use the “Front Image” option in the Crop Tool to copy the width, height, and resolution from one image, and apply those exact crop dimensions to a different (target) image.When I try to record this using an Action, Photoshop does not store the Front Image dimensions — it only records the crop, not the size reference. Is there any way to copy dimensions from one image using “Front Image” and apply them automatically to another image, either through an Action or a ready-made script?I’m looking for a solution where I don’t have to manually type the width/height every time.Since I’m not familiar with scripting, I’d appreciate it if someone could share a script that does this.Thank you in advance!

just like the title says. whenever i update the programme/reopen it, my keyboard shortcuts and other preferences get reset. i've tried saving over the default shortcuts, making my own separately named shortcut list, etc, and yet my shortcuts keep getting overridden every time i reopen the programme. i make sure that i save my settings every time i adjust my preferences so it can't be that i just "forgot", and it's impossible that i'm forgetting to save my preferences every time i use photoshop when i use it almost daily. it's very annoying to re-do all my preferences whether i want to doodle or do my homework. and it's not reasonable to keep photoshop open forever because having it open in the background while i'm using other heavy programmes like maya or unity makes my laptop turn into the sun. if anyone has advice to prevent this from happening again or any reasons why this is even happening, please let me know. 

At some point in the past, I turned off the contextural task bar. I now need access to it, but have not been able to get it to appear in the workspace. I opened the window menu, and the task bar is checked and highlighted, but no panel appears. I'm using OS 14.7.4 on an Apple M3 w/16 GB, and version 26.4.0 of Photoshop

Hello, after the update from v26.8.1 to v26.9, the following bug occurs: My workflow involves precise layer naming. I often have to re-use the same part of a layer name convention, so for sake of speed, instead of writing the same name convention on a layer hundreds of times, I use to copy-paste the layer name from one layer to another. To do that I use the shortcut ctrl+C and ctrl+V. Unfortunately after the latest update, the copy paste function for layer NAMES stoped working and no name is copied/pasted. The layer itself ist copied instead. Neither restarting PS does help, nor re-installing it. Hope this can be solved quickly. Thank you in advance for your concern.

Hi everyone, I need to know if I'm wrong or there is a bug in PhotoshopI have a psd file with, from top to bottom, 1 group, and 1 layerinside the group there are, from top to bottom, an adjustement layer with a stroke layer effect, a pic layer, and a background layerwhen I select everything, the "new york times" group and the "FOTO SINDACO" layer, and then I right clik on both and I choose "QUICK EXPORT" (I set jpg with maximum quality in Photoshop preferences), the exported file from bottom layer shows an error: it has the adjustement layer with stroke over the pic...see what I'm talking about: WHY???this circle stroke stays in upper group, and in this group there is a background layer that shoud stop any transfer mode or transparency, or any mask... In a second PSD file, I have a similar problemsee the layer structure:the Group 01  and 02 are identical;If I select both groups and right click to "quick export", this is what I have:The upper group, "0

Je cherche à réaliser un effet de flou réaliste et je dois utiliser sur Photoshop le filtre > Galerie d'effet de flou > flou de profondeur de champ. Lorsque j'utilise cette fonction, la petite roue permettant de calibrer l'effet n'apparaît pas (ou alors très très exceptionnellement une fois sur 1000). Je refais toutes les étapes à l'identique etc mais toujours le même problème. Ca fait juste apparaître une épingle noire avec un + à côté mais lorsque je clique, rien ne se passe (idem si je clique en enfonçant Alt ou Ctrl en même temps). Je précise que ma version de Photoshop est à jour (Adobe Photoshop 2025 version 26.7.015). Même souci avec les versions antérieures. Je l'utilise sur Windows 11 à jour aussi. Savez-vous ce qui cloche ? Merci d'avance.

Hi everyone, I recently used DaisyDisk to free up space on my MacBook, and since then Photoshop won’t open my older PSD files (saved before the cleanup). The strange thing is that new PSD files I save now open just fine, but the older ones give me an error and won’t open at all. I already tried: Restarting the Mac Deleting Photoshop caches and preferences Reinstalling Photoshop and Creative Cloud …but nothing has worked so far. It looks like DaisyDisk may have deleted some important Adobe system files (fonts, ICC color profiles, or something else?). Has anyone experienced this before or knows what exactly Photoshop needs to open older files? Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏 Same goes for Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects ... [removed]?

I still have PS 2022,2023, 2024 and now Photoshop 2025 on my Mac.  Can I get rid of the older versions without losing data from the older versions?

Quite annoying...I have a workaround but just pointing this out.

if I try to Harmonize it only gets to 93% if I try saving my work to my computer it only gets to 65%

Hi, I have RAW photos I'm editing in LrC V14.5, directly going from the 'photo' tab 'Edit In' option, to Photoshop V26.9. Once in Ps I lose all power to edit the layers. It merely flashes briefly then reverts to no change. Layers are unlocked and nothing I see has been changed from default or usual settings to complicate.. No error message pops up, no prompt of any kind, just a single click that shows the briefest preview then nothing. PC is running RTX3080 with 32 gig RAM, and certainly showing no useage issues. Files are on a Samsung SSD. Read & write speeds excellent. No issues if opening in Camera RAW into Ps, ONLY from LrC. Huge help if any help available. Many thanks  

I have several photos from which I need to remove the background. Some have chroma keys, others have a normal background. The problem is that when I remove the bottom of the hair, for example, some remain green.How do I remove the green color and get the original color of things?I have the Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 versionThank you!!!

I can't use generative fill after installed the PS software on my laptop. Before that I used it only on the web and I can generate fill the image. But after installing the software, I can't use it either on the web or software that I installed( I installed it from the web using this account) I tried to uninstall the software and use it on the web only but it doesn't work anymore. Let me know how can I fix it via this email. I still have generative credit points. I do not use vpn and my connection is pretty good too.

You know when you've opened a number of images in Photoshop - but you realise they're in the wrong order and the one you want to look at first is right at the back. // run a loop for all the open documents for (var i = app.documents.length -1; i >=0; i--) { app.activeDocument = app.documents[i]; } Just reverse the order!You're welcome!  

Olá, bom dia a todos. No Photoshop, quando estou com uma camada selecionada, fica uma borda em volta do objeto, no qual com a ferramente de seleção aplicada eu consigo redimensionar o objeto. Em uma camada que é um texto editável, essa borda se expande assim que eu clico nela para redimensionar, ficando maior e atrapalhando na hora de redimensionar. Tem como alterar essa configuração? Antigamente, em versões anteriores do Photoshop não acontecia isso.

I'm prefacing this with I'm VERY limited in PhotoShop.  I only minimally edit my product pictures, and anything more complicated than resizing, brightening or cloning out ugly spots in the background is pretty much beyond me.  If you can help, talk to me like I'm too old to just "know" computer stuff.  I am.  LOL.  Thank you. I've taken screenshots to explain because I'm not actually sure how to describe it.  I work on multiple files at a time.  I have several actions combined in a set that  I can either use from the panel or under "file/automate/batch".  These are commands I've been using for years.  Actually, used them this morning.  Was fine.  Then, I did something weird on my screen- moved & shrank PS window by accident.  Had to drag it around to get it back properly situated.  I opened up my next series of photos and discovered that for whatever reason, one of the automate/batch commands was not sending
