Photoshop

The Select and Mask tool is very laggy and slow since the last versions on my Mac Studio M2 Ultra.I am editing RAW files from Lightroom and import them in Photoshop. Also the double click option on a layermask to get into the Select and Mask tool takes ages to load.  OS: Sequoia 15.5 Thanks! 

I want to migrate my PS Preferences to a new computer.  I see a lot of individual files for various settings but no single folder containing general preferences.  Does one exist and I am not reading the names correctly or do I have to copy and paste all the individual settings/preferences/etc. manually and install them individually on the new system?

THe latest version of Photoshop has a new very annoying bug! If you have multiple canvases open in photoshop, it constantly keep selecting the underlying/non current canvases especially when they are hidden behind the canvas you are working on. Therefore you need to keep each canvas distant from eachother or open as few images as possible. This is super annoying! See videoPS! Rolling back to Photoshop 25.5 and it works. 26.0 and 26.1 the bug appears. Can you please fix this asap adobe!?

I absolutley do not understand why the functionality of copying and pasting guides to other documents was removed/moved? One of the most basically needed features of a program has to be messed with. Who's function in the script did it mess with??  I cant find an answer on the web due to multiple changes between versions but documentation has not been updated. Im using 24.7.0. Why not have a simple checkbox option for the current guides in the first document to carry over to any sub-sequent documents after it?

Hi to all!My name is antonio and i'm a journalist adn photographer working in the fashion and beauty area.In this part of the year and a bit before i work a lot on the beach to realize advert campaign for beachwaer brands and editorial to be published on magazines.My problem is that when i try to use generative expand every, every, every time there is a model wearing a swimsuite in the frame i can only get the orange dialog the read: pleae check guidelines for the use of this service (something about this, ok)This is a nightmare, i cannot use to work this feature of PS that could help me a  lot; for example when i'm shooting from inside the sea walking in to the water i cannot change lens to my camera to avoid to drown it (tipicaly a pair camera plus lens worth abot 8000-9000 euros )  but when i try to expand the picture... the stop message get up.Please how can avoid this ? 

Since more than a year I have a problem with Liquify in Photoshop. Every 3-5 edited photos, when trying to use Liquify, I get "Could Not Complete Liquify Command because of a disk error". When this error comes up, I have to restart Photoshop and I can retouch another 3-5 photos untill problem comes again. What's more, when liquify stops working, there is also problem with other filters, like lens blur. It doesn't work too untill restarting Photoshop. I was hoping that maybe some updates will fix this, but I struggle with it over a year and it's too annoying now to wait any longer. Not to mention that recently Photoshop wiped all my user settings, but thankfully I had an old backup. What can I do to fix this error?My PC:i7-13700K64GB RAMRTX 4080Windows 11

Adobe Photoshop 26.8.1 on Mac OS 14.6.1   If I apply Curves to a Layer Mask and use the Black Point Picker after the White Point Picker it seems to produce a faulty result. (see gif)    Can anyone confirm or has this issue already come up previously?    Regards,  Pfaffenbichler

J'explique mon problème :  Lorsque, de Bridge, j'indique "ouvrir dans Camera Raw" puis ouvrir dans "Photoshop", le plus souvent -presque toujours- Photoshop se plante et je suis obligée de forcer l'arrêt. Lorsque de Bridge, j'indique "ouvrir dans Photoshop", Camera Raw s'ouvre et je peux charger l'image dans Photoshop.Lorsque de Bridge, j'indique "ouvrir dans Photoshop", Camera Raw s'ouvre et je peux charger l'image dans Photoshop.   De plus, Camera Raw , met un certain temps avant de charger l'image bien net.Cela viendrait-il de mon PC ? ou le chemin Camera Raw - Photoshop est mal configuré ? Cela fonctionnait très bien avant les nouvelles mises à jour et surtout "la réduction du bruit" sous Camera Raw. I’m having an issue and I’m hoping someone can help me.1) edited color of photos in camera raw (inside photoshop). Clicked done.2) did skin smoothing in camera raw (inside photoshop). Clicked done throughout (afraid of computer crashing because it has been and I’m just trying to get through this)3. Opened photo into photoshop to do liquify. They look correct - but when I save them or export them as jpg my color changes save but with skin smoothing does not.HELP PLEASE. What am I doing wrong?? I just want to save my work!

PS 26.8.1 stopped working yesterday, freezes, as does Beta.I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no success.I'm on a Mac Mini with no RAM or storage issues. This is causing me to miss deadlines. Please help!

Hello, I rely on Replace Color to create subtle effects in my job as a concept artist. I have noticed that the sensitivity and precisions has been entirely lost in all versions after 26.7 Were changes made to this function that could have caused this? Regards, Alex Ries

Hi all, I wanted to place this photo in a project in Indesign, but i'm struggling with the image size. I have searched the internet for standard sizes and I now want to make this photo 800 pixels and 300dpi. But when do you have the right size without it becoming pixelated? Is there a way to estimate the correct size for placing images in InDesign? Or a standard to work from?

This is such a weird bug, I don't even know if this occurs with other people.  I have exceptionally good hearing when it comes to high pitched noises. Like I can hear a dog whistle good. So anyone who tries to test this might not even hear the sound I'm talking about. I've noticed yesterday that while painting in photoshop that a high pitched sound would come out of my speakers on my laptop which is muted. This only occurs while painting. I can click and drag somewhere off the canvas and the sound won't happen.  The sound won't happen when using a different tool like hand tool or something else.  I have a Wacom tablet connected, but the sound occurs with the tablet and with the mouse.  I've also noticed the sound is louder with higher pressure on the tablet. The sound also won't occur until photoshop has been running for a little bit, I can restart my computer and the sound would disappear momentarily but then come back later.  I'm running p

Hello! I am desperate to figure this out, since I need these brushes for my job. I recently updated PS through Creative Cloud, and lost all of the Kyles Megapack brushes. When I go to sign in in order to download the Megapack brushes--I am just taken back to the sign-in page. Over and over. How do I get around this? I must be signed in already, because my name shows up on the home page. Thanks!

I'm a subscriber and the PS software broke itself and won't reboot. I hate paying for something that doesn't work and I have to fix. So where do we start? I'm thinking quit the account and start a new one. Is there a better way to solve this problem? To fix it and get the program back onscreen working normaly again without losing work?       

I just installed Adobe DNG Converter but still can't open Canon CR3 files on my new iMac. Camera Raw and Photoshop are the latest versions because I have a Creative Cloud subscription.

I am having trouble exporting from Photoshop as a PDFAfter I have exported the PDF from Photoshop and go to view it, there are elements missing from the file. The file looks fine in Photoshop with everything there, it's just after it's been exported as a PDF that things are missing. I have tried viewing it in Acrobat as well as a browser and they view the same. I have used the Save As option as well as the Export Artboards to PDF. The file prints correctly and it even exported with the same elements missing on someone else's computer. It saves as a JPG just fine. This issue also did not resolve when I installed past versions of Photoshop and I wasn't having this issue a little over a week ago.If anyone knows any way to fix this please help!

Hello! Since updating to Sonoma (14.3.1) I'm having trouble with my cursor in Photoshop when using my Intuos 24" tablet. With any tool I select, if the cursor is still, it shows the symbol for that brush, but as soon as I move the cursor, it turns into the black arrow cursor.All my Wacom drivers are updated, as well as the OS. Restarting doesn't help and I've turned off "Enable Generator", turned off "Spring-loaded Tool Shortcuts" and turned off Enable Flick Panning. Wondering if anyone has experienced this? I'm thinking of I can't fix it, I might revert back to Ventura...

I recently updated my MAC operating system and now the printer options have changed.  I want to select "printer manages colors" as well as my preferred printer profile for the paper I use.  However, the printer profile drop down menu is grayed out unless I choose "photoshop manages colors", which I don't want.  Is there a way to select "Printer manages colors" AND my preferred printer profile for my specific paper?  Thank you for any help!!

I do most of my editing in LRC and finish in PS.  Recently I have been unable to open PS from LRC when using the command "edit in" consistently.  If PS does open I am unable to save or close it.  I can open PS directly or from the Creative Cloud app and it doesn't seeem to be having difficulty with that. My version of PS is 26.8.1. on Windows 11 on  a desktop.  Any help would be appreciated.

Pretty new to JSX, but I have a specific need I can't find an example of. For an active layer, I want to toggle the visibility of the fx effects (Blending Options / Layer Style).  I can do it via an eyeball in the UI, just want to be able to do it in JSX.  I don't see any such property in Layers?

Hi all -- I'm trying to create an action that incorporates a neural filter. When I play the action, it keeps getting stuck at that step, and I get an error message that says "Neural filters has exceeded the timeout limit." Setting aside the question of whether it should instead read "Neural filters have," what does it mean? Do I need to change a setting somewhere? Can we include neural filters in actions? Scott

Windows 11 laptop with the most current version of Photosop.This is mostly for bird images when the sky is most of the background.  After all the ACR and photoshop tweaks, in photoshop, often the sky is undesirable.   Auto contrast when applied without any masks often does a wonderful job of fixing it, but I don't want it affecting the subject.  Unfortunatedly, if I select sky or inverse of subject, after I apply auto-contrast, the result is comically bad.I know this can be accomplished with layers, but I'm having a hard time with this.  At some point, ChatGPG got me in the right place, and I got what I wanted in Photoshop, but when I exported the jpg, the change was lost.  Can somebody please simply explain the right steps to get what I want?  To be clear, I want the sky to look exactly how it looks when I apply auto-contrast to the entire image, but I don't want the subject affected, and I of course then need to export a jpg with the change app
