Photoshop

Hi everyone,I am having a strange problem with Photoshop:I import the RAW file from Lightroom (say "_869547-1234.DNG"),I rename the file using the 'Save As' command (say "_869547-1234-HDR_a-1.PSD", same path), thenwhen I later use the 'Save' command , Photoshop just saves the file name with the original file name ("_869547-1234.PSD") but keeps the correct extension (as if I had never renamed it).The weird thing is that I can see there are now both files saved in folder (the "_869547-1234-HDR_a-1.PSD" I creat at point #2 and the "_869547-1234-HDR_a-1.PSD" one, created at point #3).How can I fix this?I use:Photoshop 26.0Lightroom Classic 14.0macOS Sonoma 14I'd appreciate any help in fixing this annoying problem that forces me to go through the process at point @#2 every time I need to save the file to avoid the renaming problem.Thank you in advance for your time.

When moving an artboard to another position it takes forever and the software freezes... minutes roll by before a moved artboard does anything, if at all... please look into this !!!!!

After working for five years , when trying to process NEF/RAW  files, it buffers then crashes. I have dealt with Photoshop directly on the chat. After a couple of hours they confessed that they couldn't solve it. They got me to uninstall and download again, but it didn't work.  The exception code is  Oxc0000409. Any ideas?

I’m trying to use Photoshop on my iPad Pro for the first time, and I can’t open a 1GB document. I keep getting the message: “Could not open ‘Presentation’ because the device does not have enough free space.” This doesn’t make sense, as I have 400GB of free space on my iPad Pro. I bought this iPad Pro specifically to work with large files, and it’s frustrating not to be able to open the document. Does anyone know what might be going on or if there’s a fix? This is unacceptable.-------- Estou tentando usar o Photoshop no meu iPad Pro pela primeira vez e não consigo abrir um documento de 1GB. Aparece a mensagem: “Não foi possível abrir ‘Apresentação’ porque o dispositivo não tem espaço livre.” Isso não faz sentido, já que tenho 400GB livres no meu iPad. Comprei esse iPad Pro exatamente para poder trabalhar com arquivos grandes, e é frustrante não conseguir nem abrir o documento. Alguém sabe o que pode estar acontecendo ou se existe alguma solução? Isso é um absurdo.

Hello everyone, I'm facing a problem with Sky Replacement. It won't track anything.It's just making the sky picture, with the layers. But all white masks.I think it has to do something with the new version of Photoshop 2025.Do other people face the same issue? Because I can't think of anything else I could have changed.

I just found 2 bugs in PS 2025 (v 26.0.0): 1. I can not close a document (saved) with the keyboard by "command + w" when no tool is chosen. I have to choose a tool first (any tool) and then the document can be closed with the above keyboard command.2. having the brush selected with the preferences set to "show normal brush" the cursor changes every second between the brush (circle) and the normal arrow (for 1/10s). Even when no finger is on the trackpad and no mouse movement is indicated. It just keeps blinking. PS 2024 does not show this behaviour on the very same machine. Anybody else?

So I had the latest Illustrator Beta installed. Photoshop stated "Illustrator is damaged" when double clicking on a smart oject. I Uninstalled the Iustrator Beta, now it's saying "smartobjectxy.ai could not be found" when double clicking a smartobject, even though Illustrator 23, 24 and 25 are installed. How do I tell Photoshop to open them with another Illustrator version?

I  was promised that this bug would be fixed in the next release of Camera Raw!! There has been a new release of Camera Raw BUT THE BUG HAS NOT BEEN REMEDIED.  I have waited since June 11th to get this remedied as I can process and print my files the way they appear in Camera Raw! Here is the bug reference they sent me Sept 17th. PS-139111

Hey guys, my noise filter is missing and resetting the workspace does not help either any idea how can I get it back?

I am on the latest Photoshop (as updated by Creative Cloud) and I keep having issues with preserving my preferences (for a long time - years). After each Photoshop update, the "Set" in Keyboard preferences resets to "Photoshop Default" even though I have set up my custom Set and I have it active. Meaning after each update, I have to go there and switch it back to my custom set. Today I opened up Photoshop just like normal (after closing it yesterday just like normal) and I found all my User Actions just... gone. No idea why, Creative Cloud says the last update was 21 days ago, but the actions just disappeared and the "Default Actions" are the only ones there (it simple reset to default). Also it looks like (some) UI panels reseted to default as well because I had to reopen Timeline for example and add Actions back to to side panel.

Path and/or mask shift/distort after extending canvas with crop tool. Hi there,I'm experiencing issues in Photosop 25.11 when importing 3rd party brushes. I ordered some ink/watercolor chinese style brushes. When I try to paint with them, it's creating a lot of horizontal lines. It does not resemble the inky expected brush mark. I've tried updating my Mac OS, re-setting my tool presets, the problem still persists. My existing adobe brushes work fine. The display image of the brush also looks a little off compared to my other brushes that work fine.In the screenshot the white is painted with my existing adobe brushes, and look as expected. The black marks that look funky are the new brushes. I feel like this is a glitch or I am missing a simple setting fix. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi All, I am running the latest version of PhotoShop (26.0.0) on a Mac running OS 14.7, and printing to my Canon ImageProGraf 4000.I have noticed that when toggling the "View_Proof Colors" on and off it changes the way my prints look!I have always understood that this setting would never effect my actual prints, it is supposed to only effect the on screen color and simulate the intended output result.Has anyone expierenced this behavior? I will try to attch an image showing the difference. The top image is a print with the view proof setting on, and in the bottom print it is off.It will be hard to see the difference in the image but if you look closely you can see that the bottom image has less magenta in the deeper blues, and the cyan is more vibrant.Can anyone help me figure out why this may be happening?Thanks.

MacBook Pro Apple M2 Max 96GB RAM - Photoshop 24.2I recently changed to this new computer and photoshop is super laggy in tools like liquify and other filters, the brush lags a lot!Even the zoom is slow.Even my 2015 MacBook is faster at these tasks. I don't know what is going on but something can't be right...

I've re-installed, reset preferences, tried every technique I've found online. Nothing is working. It has been like this for months. Nothing updates when I change any settting within select and mask. I can see the mask but nothing changees when I try to refine, or adjust any other settings. I've attached a video of a selection of a pillow I made. I'm trying to modify the selection within Select and Mask. This is ridiculous. Please help.

In Photoshop 2025, in a text layer with differents words in differents text sizes cannot insert or change Glyhps. Also, updating a text layer from Photohsop 2024 in Photoshop 2025 removes all Glyhps and reset all Baseline Shift values to 0.  

Hello, I am having an issue with photoshop where File > New > is not auto-inputting the clipboard size into the canvas size for the new document. This has worked on every version of photoshop until this point. I sadly ended up on version 23.3.2 (photoshop just updated itself in the last couple days I guess without me noticing, and I am pretty sure I had that auto update turned off since I reverted back to 22.2 a couple weeks ago, sigh)   Have you guys considered testing your product before launching updates? I reverted back to 22.2 because of all the bugs I was experiencing with the latest versions. Seems turning auto update off cant even save me.      {Thread title modified by moderator}

I am using 25.12.0 version of photoshop (which i just updated to)and the save to web feature has just stopped working entirely. Any thoughts. I use this all the time and its pretty frustraiting having nothing happen when you click the menu and nothing happens. hopefully this can be fixed asap. seems like an important missing aspect of the software... 

Hello,  I had a project set up that involved multiple layers and masking. I worked the files as usual bottom to top with a few adjustment layers and whatnots. After saving the files (8 total) 3 of those files lost all of there photogrpahic information when reopend minutes later. The layers/work I created within photoshop are still there but the actual pixel information from the photos vanished entirely. Those 3 files look like the image attached. Also when viewed in finder as a thumbnail the file displays all of the information properly.

I believe I'm not the first with the problem.After the recent update nothing opens in Rosetta mode, even Libraries:I use Rosetta to have access to my old purchased plug-ins which doesn´t open as well. Any way to fix the problem?

I installed PS 24.7.1 and PS 25 yesterday. Now when I open either version of PS a creative cloud all apps advertisement opens. Even when sending a photo from LR. The popup prevents you from doing anything until you close, to include a photo send from LR. I've checked the box in lower left corner for "don't show again." Doesn't work. Have ensured I'm logged in to CC, logged out and back in, restarted computer, reinstalled the older versions, nothing works. I've been a subscriber for 8 years and my plan is current. How do I get rid of this annoying popup? Running on Mac Studio M1 Ultra with latest version of Ventura. Thank you for your assistance, Ed

There are some Effect that are not visibly showing up on new projects. Below is my old project, where the Effect was visibly showing, and the new project where it is not visible. I also included the settings for each of the effects and my layers, to show that I duplicated the new project exactly from the old one, but yet it still does not show the Effect. The screenshots show it for the Inner Shadow effect, however, it also was the same issue with the Bevel and Emboss Effect. When the Bevel and Emboss Effect wasn't working, I did also make sure the style was not set to Stroke Emboss, and it wasn't, it was always set to Inner Bevel. Again, this was only on the new project. Bevel and Emboss works perfectly fine on the old project.
