Photoshop

When i open photoshop i get the message Direct X 11 installed Direct X 12 required (Capture 1)Checking my computer it says Direct X 12 is installed (Capture 2,  Capture 3 and Dx Diag)I have also attached a copy of the Dell Spec (Dell) in case there is another graphics card ? installed which is Direct X 12 which is being overrulled by the NVidia card ?Anyone any ideas what is happening ? and how do i correct it ? I presume this is why the reflection removal does not work

Hi Adobe team,I’m a fashion professional using Photoshop specifically for Generative Fill to fix couture dresses, extend fabrics, and preserve embroidery detail.After the last updates, the tool no longer understands my prompts and produces bizarre results like plastic tubes or surreal shapes.Even a simple prompt like: "fix the dress on the ground".“Extend the train of the dress using the same fabric and embroidery”used to work perfectly.Now it creates unusable results — breaking my workflow completely.This was the main reason I subscribed to Photoshop. Witam,kolejny raz mam problem z wypełnieniem generatywnym. Wasze obostrzenia odnośnie treści pornograficznych utrudniają mi pracę. Na zdjęciu mam klientkę co jest w sukience ma tylko lekko wystający biustonosz już nie mogę skorzytać z tej opcji,nie widać tam golizny,piersi,tylko kawałek materiału.Ta opcja bardzo ułatwia mi pracę,proszę o analizę,gdzie jest granica między gołymi piersiami bo często tu problem a usuwaniem wystającej bielizny typu biustonosz

When I release the mouse button, it will adjust the path I drew and it's not smoothening it, it's rather straightening it, and I don't want that because I am using it for accurate free hand selections. 

I want to change a tiff image to an RGB.  How can I do thits?

It used to be that if you duplicated a smart object layer using Ctrl/Cmd+J or the Duplicate Layer option in the context menu the smart object layers were linked so that changes made to one were also made to the other. That is no longer true in the current version of Ps. Does anyone know if that is a bug or is it an intentional change? Thanks.

There's got to be a law to protect photographers being forced to buy new computers (usually consting $3,000 or more to edit photos) just because adobe and photoshop forces us to upgrade thier software (that works fine on our sustem), even though it's no longer compatable with the OS that we''re currently running, and our computers does not support the newer (required) OS version.  Give the the days when we bought the software, and used it until it no longer did what we needed it to do.  I used the last version of Photoshop I purchased on CDs for over 5 yeats before I needed to upgrade, because my new compter wouldn't run it.     [Branched by moderator from unrelated post]      

Hi community! Since yesterday I noticed that Generative AI does not work on Photoshop. I have v 26.6 installed. Tried on multiple images (jpeg) and new blank file, results always the same: the generation starts, then suddenly stops and nothing happens. Is anyone facing the samme issue? How can I resolve this?

Con la última actualización 26.6.0, dentro de la opción de selección de objetos, estás la selección de personas. Se supone que se detecta a la gente automáticamente, pero no en mi caso. I keep getting this error message (amecommand Initilization error 1), when I try to render a video in Photoshop & Photoshop Beta, both the newest versions.I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, Bridge & Media Encoder, but still doing the same thing. I restarted laptop (macbook pro), restarted the apps, uninistalled the apps then did a laptop restart before reinstalling, and still.. no luck.   I tried to open Bridge to render through there, but Bridge keeps force quittiing before it even fully loads the app, so that's of no use. Older versions of Photoshop and Bridge did not work either and produced the same out come (photoshop still gives error message when renderinig video and Bridge force quits when app is is loading up)SOS

Latest Camera Raw Crashes PC only when I try to use the masking tool.  Specificlly when it starts to procces what is in the image for a couple seconds and the little arros start to spin.  Then without even an error report, Complete BSOD.  Complete crash.  Otherwise, the rest of Cam Raw works as it's supposed to. THINGS I HAVE TRIED:Updated NVIDIA Driver Udated Windows 11Uninstalled and reinstalled PSD latest version and older versionsTuring off GPU processing on both PSD and Cam Raw settings Nothing works unless I go all the way back to Camera Raw 14.5 Setup:  AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor, 3080 ti NVIDA GPU, 64gb ram, Windows 11 Pro 24H2

I organized my brushes a day ago while working on an illustration project renaming and fine tunning them while working on a new project. I went to sleep thinking "Wow I finally got something going with the brushes and feeling comfortable about painting in photoshop rather than with actual paints. I updated the next day because there was an update and I said, "Why not?" Now the gradients and brush presets are gone. I didn't change anything including my current workspace and after hours of collecting and organizing things for my project there are no longer there. The only thing I can imagine is I restarted my machine the next day, but I assumed Photoshop saves my presets on the spot. Am I wrong about this? Do I have to quit Photoshop before restarting so it saves those changes?  I can't update to the latest PS version 26 because CC suggests I should buy a new computer. I have an iMac 2015 I purchased new in 2016.

I have been using photoshop for years and have never run into this before.  I frequently have to save my files as PSD and JPEG.  This was not an issue until last week.  Now when I select "Save As" I only have the options to save as PSD, PSB, and TIFF.  I am working with small 3.5m files.  Have I changed some preference or something?  If I flatten the image and remove layers then all of my "Save as type" options are  displayed.  Not sure if this is part of the reason Photoshop now crashes as I exit or crashes sometime when just entering the save files window.  I have plenty of disk space as well.  Any help would be appreciated. Thank  you for your help

I don't need smart objects for anything, ever. How can I turn it off for good? Thanks for any help.

If you look in bottom right corner, I've had photoshop do this jumping thing since update 26.5.0 came out where the polygonal lasso will jump off screen then back on real quick, especially when moving cursor very slowly to edge of screen to move canvas around 

Hello Adobe Community, Why are the Width and Height Ratio number boxes greyed out?I used to be able to select a Fixed Ratio with the Marquee Selection tool.Is that no longer possible? Thank you for the help! Michael

Hello everyone.I am having a problem when using the pen tool, I can briefly describe my problem as follows. When using the pen tool, I cannot exit the curve drawing mode, and I cannot exit the image moving mode (normally the image only moves when I hold the space key, however when using the pen tool, even though I no longer hold the space key, my photoshop still cannot exit the moving mode).I have uploaded 3 videos, 2 of which describe my error and 1 video is me using the pen tool on another computer.Hope everyone can give me some advice

I'm experiencing an issue when trying to edit pages from a PDF in Photoshop via Acrobat's "Edit Using" functionality. My PDF consists of a color cover and black and white interior pages saved as indexed PNG images.Steps to Reproduce:Open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat. This PDF contains a colored cover and subsequent pages saved as indexed PNG images (black and white).Navigate to one of the black and white interior pages (saved as an indexed PNG).Right-click on the desired page.Select "Edit Using" and then "Adobe Photoshop [Your Photoshop Version]".Expected Result:Photoshop should launch, and the selected page should open for editing.Actual Result:Photoshop launches, but an error message appears stating: "Could not open '[filename].pdf' because this is not a Photoshop PDF image file."Additional Information:The cover page (which is in color and presumably not an indexed PNG) might open correctly in Photoshop using the same method (though I haven't specifically tested this in this bug rep

photoshop 2025 lagging and very slow when pasting smart object on ducument, after need to restart computer

Instead of showing the circular outline of the eraser brush, the cursor is only a crosshair. This makes it difficult to accurately gauge the size and shape of the eraser. Expected Results:The Eraser tool cursor should display the brush tip, showing the size and shape of the eraser, similar to how the Brush tool (B) and other painting tools display their brush tips.

So, this just happened randomly. I'm pretty sure I didn't touch any settings...Anyhow, the problem is that whenever I use my color picker, it picks a more saturated and brighter version than the color I chose. If my color is darker, it will pick a more saturated and darker color, until it is totally black. Can someone help me? I cannot find a good answer anywhere to fix this.
