Photoshop

If I am working on a very large banner for inside a school for above lockers at 634" x 25" what would be a reasonable ppi? I am assuming 300ppi is too much? However, it will be viewed at a close distance by visitors and students.Thank you for your help

Using Photoshop 2025, 26.7.0, I made a selection on an open file, and I wanted to replace that selected area with an AI generated pattern, based on a sample image. It seems like Generative Fill only works with written cues, so I tried generate image to fill the selected area, by pointing it to a sample JPEG. However, instead of generating something to fill the selected area, Photoshop is basically replacing the whole image with the pattern sample. I am not understanding how I can fill just my selection with generated content from my sample image. Thanks.

Can anyone help me disable this type of selection that appears in every single thing I create on Photoshop? It does not help me at all. When I disable "Extras", it disappears from the selected layer but then I have to do that in every other layer that keeps showing it. Is there any way to eliminate this once and for all?      

I don't know what's going on with us, but since Photoshop three, maybe I've been able to free transform rasterized text -- free transform one corner at a time using the control (or command key on Mac) and then hit return, and it stays transformed as I've set it. But now in the technological wonderland that is 2025 when everything is automated and doesn't listen to manual input no mater what, when I try to do that, a transform, one corner, or maybe the other or two, and then hit return, the edit reverts to some weird semi-warped version of the original. WTF?In order, before, during, after.

OK, where did this go now? There has always been a popup under the lasso tool with both the polygon and the magnetic lasso. I use them both a lot. Are they gone, or am I just experiencing a glitch with this lovely $500 a year creative cloud?

What are these guides, and can I turn them off? I am trying to drag layers to reposition and this guide keeps snapping them to certain spots and not letting me manually position things. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

I have a camera that takes pictures of the sky every 15sec which produces about 5700 DNG raw files per day. I have a custom camera profile and a set of white point and a few other params that I want to process with. I want to automate this processing the run once or twice per day through ACR. There will be subsequent processing outside of ACR to generate videos and other artifacts. Any suggestions on how best to implement this automation.

Hello, just today I've noticed my Adobe Photoshop (2021) can no longer save as PDF. Even in very small files, like a flat 3" business card, the PDF option is left off the list. Why is this? Thank you!

Hi, I have a big issue with my camera raw filter, i dont know what to do anymore. Everytime I try to open camera raw filter, there is a window with text ,,Camera raw filter requires gpu acceleration´´.I tried almost every solution on the internet, but none of them worked. I tried to change something in a photoshop preferences, nothing. I tried to install new camera raw filter from official websites, nothing.I tried to install the newest graphic app from Invidia, nothing.  Please someone help me with my problem, i dont know what to do. I have the newest Windows computer, RTX 4050 graphic. 

While I set up a new document, checking off Artboards takes away my option to choose CMYK Color Mode. Why?

So far, no matter what app (Photoshop and Illustrator) I use.  Save As function does not work at all.  It's suppose to allow you to have a file with a different name and it's doing absolutely nothing.  Why would you mess with this as it's a basic function across ALL applications in Windows and Mac, so why would you screw this up?

I'm using PhotoShop 26.7.0 20250513.r.15 e861f5e x64  Windows 11 64-bitThe frame tool doesn't seem to be working like it used to. I'm trying to place a frame in the white part of this image. Usually, I just need to use the frame tool to draw a rectangle over the part where I want to embed images. But now, doing so turns the phone image into the in-frame image instead of the frame. It happens even when I create a new layer (white rectangle shape over the empty phone screen) and try to put a frame on that instead:(I was trying to draw a frame on "Rectangle 1", but the frame got applied to the iPhone image)I ended up using a clipping mask to achieve my objectives.I don't remember the Frame tool being like that before, is this a bug or did the function change?

Hello  I've set-up scratch disk in PS. While it's processing on Stack Mode, the disk C is getting full (while it's not selected as scratch disk). Then I keep getting disk full error message. Do you know should be changed in PS settings to avoid PS to write on C during Stack Mode editing? Also, where on disk C can I locate the files written in order to remove them and free some space on C ?Thanks so much for your help

i have an ongoing issue with photoshop 25 (26.7.0)every time i print thermal labels it crashes and i lose what i've been doing.it works perfectly fine on the Beta version and Photoshop 24 (25.12.3) so i've had to keep both those installations on my computer or i'm unable to print.i've sent the report to Adobe multiple times with only a response to reset my printer settings, but i have to do it every time and shut down and restart.Im using windows 11, latest update, ive tried updating photoshop multiple times, the problem is never fixedthere is something wrong with the latest version, how do i get someone to look at it properlyi cant be the only one printing thermal labels from photoshop???

In Photoshop ist - wenn das Programm in DEUTSCH läuft - das Fenster »Ebenen« viel breiter als wenn PS in anderen Sprachen läuft (z.B. Englisch oder Tschechisch). Warum ist es so? Muss es so sein?Unnötig breites Fenster nimmt Platz für das Bild weg.

I have a lens (Venus Optics Laowa Argus 35mm F0.95 CF APO for Canon RF) and it's supported by Camera Raw through 14.1 as seen from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/supported-lenses.html  When I'm in Camera Raw 15.5, editing a RAW (CR3) file directly, I don't see my lens listed: Shouldn't it be in the list since it should have been added in an earlier CR version and I'm editing a RAW CR3 directly?
