Photoshop

Hi, I know very little about photoshop. Is there any way I can convert my original artwork into this black and white format? I drew it in RGB, but I find this 'red' channel  very cute. I want my artwork to be saved and later to be animated maintaining this black and white shade. I tried saving my art work by only keeping the red option ON but when I open the psd file it goes back into RGB.  can anyone help me. Thank you. 

Is there any way to reverse this image in the radial direction, so that peaks are valleys and valleys are peaks? Essentially  z = 1 - z 

NB: I did read a few other answers to similar questions, but none were sufficient for my task.I have a series of 100+ images I created for a client (see example) which are 360º images, transformed into a horizontal cross shape (using Flaming Pear software). Client is an architect and will be creating a book of reference images of a building that requires renovation. The shape was chosen so that text and other photos could be added in the white space around the main image. This allows them to highlight problem areas etc. The problem is that the "white" background areas are not uniformly white (instead they range from white to grey). which messes up the look of the book (they are using Word). They are now asking if the images can be supplied with no background (make it transparent?) so they can put into a Word document and then add other elements around the image. I hope this makes sense. I understand I should be using Actions in conjunction with Batching, but my knowledge is very limite

I clip out products and sometimes use the pen tool to get the curvature correct. Usually I can create a selection using the pen tool and then use the fill bucket to fill black or white to my image mask. It no longer has that capability in this version.

I'm playing with AI images now and many of them have this issue – oversharpened edges...How would you tackle this? The Blur tool works quite fine, but probably there are more options to try? I'm also considering a luminosity mask + cloning the edge (but it needs more time and precision) 

I am using Photoshop (web version) on a Windows PC Win 10 with a 27" monitor.Since this morning all the tabs, drop down menus and everything else (apart from the actual image I might be working on) are TINY.  So tiny I can't read them even if I stick my eyes 1" in front of them !All other websites, apps etc are working normally.What on earth is happening please ?  It is seriously holding up my work flow.How can I fix this please. Thank you,Amanda  

Why is the PNG file format NOT listed in pulldown menu off "Save a Copy" PS 2025? What is going on with development, HELLO.Why O Why is PNG not in the pulldown menu any more, it's the the mean file format used for web imaged with an aplha chanel! PLEASE stop changeing because of changing, very very enoing to say the least.This is one of the reason I might stop my subscibtion!!!! Please O please put back the PNG file format in the pulldown menu off "Save a Copy"And when using Save As the popup menu revers to "Save a Copy" so what is going on because PNG is NOT listed in "Save a Copy". The option to enhance camera raw does not appear in Adobe Photoshop with the latest update

I have a system of applying fonts and styles I have used forever and all of a sudden the style shows a cloud basically telling me I don't have it.  I click the cloud and the dumb things just spin and they aren't in my font list anymore.  What on earth did you guys do in the update?  My Illustrator won't load some of my stuff either!!  i got a notification ONE time about something all of a sudden being password protected but it was a bunch of drives and I assumed it would tell me again but it didn't! I tried to make a bunch of things no longer read only but it didn't work and now I feel like I just opened up my system for nothing.  I am frustrated. 😞 PLEASE tell me how to fix this and i hope you get it fixed in the update!!

Screen shot 1 below shows a layer with 2 adjustment layers turned off.  Screen shot 2 shows 1 of the 2 adjustment layers turned on, addressing the top portion of the layer, making the transition with the bottom layer seamless.  Screen shot 3 shows the other adjustment layer turned on, addressing the bottom part of the layer, making the transition with the bottom layer seamless.  But with that layer (Curves 2) turned on, the top portion of "Layer 1 copy" is now too bright.  Can I apply a gradient to the Curves 2 layer only to bring down the brighter upper part while keeping the adjustment intact in the lower part?  Thanks.     

Hello,I'm unable to open an .mp4 file in Photoshop and receive an error message saying "DynamicLink" is not available. I cleared my preferences, uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop, made exceptions in my firewall, restarted my computer, and still received the message. I uninstalled all of Adobe products using the cleaner tool, reinstalled everything, and still got the error message. I have the most recent version of Quicktime. This error did not occur two days ago when I was using the same files, and others, within Photoshop. This file was rendered using Media Encoder, and no other video files will open up either (Whether or not rendered using Media Encoder or Premiere). Since the last update as well, my graphics driver has been acting funky with Photoshop (yes, I updated it too) and it does this thing where it starts, freezes on the open page, then after 5-10 minutes I can click on things - otherwise runs generally smooth until some random error occurs. Several updates ago, the Lens Blur refinement tools began to become massive resource hogs. Whenever I attempt to use them, the first pass or two to refine blur and focus aren't too bad, but as I continue, the latency in the brushstrokes gets worse and worse, and freezes up PS until they can slowwwwly finish. After a certain point, they no longer work - they just freeze PS and then finally give me back the program after two or three minutes.  I'm on a three year old iMac - current OS, and fully updated on PS. I also use a Wacom tablet (I know, their drivers are crap, but this happens even when I just attempt to use the mouse). I used to use Lens Blur all the time, but now I've had to stop - it's just not worth it. Any way I could possibly make this work correctly again? Or have current updates to PS just decided they'll only work with the most recent hardware and terabytes of RAM. What info can I provide to further this conversation?

whenever I open Photoshop it gives me an error message saying "error reading machine specific preferences. They will be reset to defaults". sure enough, they are, why does it keep giving me this error message and how can I fix it.Photoshop General Discussion

When using the tutorial entitled "Get to Know Layers", the tutorial freezes after I complete the task to "Transform" the flamingo in the image. It keeps saying "Complete the current task before proceeding", even though I did complete the task, and the "Next" button is grayed out, and I get stuck. I have to "End Task" Photoshop in the Windows Task Mnager to get out of that.

I have been using PS and LRC for some time.  Sometimes when I save a TIFF in PS it will not automatically enter the the folder in LRC.  I can go to "finder" and drag into LRC.Now the TIFF will not go into the LRC folder and when I drag from my "finder" it does not show up so can not be imported.I have restarted both programs and they are up to date:  PS - 26.4.1, LRC - 14.2I would appreciate suggestons.

So i reccently tried this photoshop app on my iphone and i cant find the blur tool. I have a group that i duplicated and transformed into an intelligent objet, just like in the web app, but i cant blur it. If this tool its not available it will be very disappointing.

Good day. can you help me to solve the problem?I have already tried everything that is indicated on adobe website, it does not help. Photoshop's upper panel don't work correctly. I perform one action, for example plastic, and for the next action the panel no longer works. I need to bleed the program completely and open it again. 

I need to create a broken tile type of mosaic image, with each piece being a different photo.  Any suggestions for how to do this fairly easily?

Hello dear communityI am looking for a way to automatically straighten scanned photos on a black background.There is the function “Auto Crop and Straighten”. Unfortunately, this is not useful for my purpose as the images are cropped exactly to the edge and a new document is always created. Is there a way to use this straighten function for an action? Apparently Photoshop has such a function, but unfortunately it is tied to cropping.I already have an action for cropping.I hope someone of you knows a good solution for my problem. For a while the ALT CTRL R for Select and Mask doesn't work for me. I have to manually go through the tabs to get to this tool now. All ALT CTRL R does now is double the image if I drag.

Hello!I have a student license for Photoshop from 2013 and I used the programm on 2 computers.One is broken and I want to move Photoshop to my new one. I deinstalled PS on the old one without knowing I had to deactivate it first. Now I don't have a chance to deactivate it.I tried to re-install PS on the original old computer, but the programm doesn't recognice the computer and thinks it's another one. So I'm facing the same problem still.Adobe support couldn't help me, because the license isn't connected to an account.How can I deactivate Photoshop on my old PC and use the serialnummer again?Any help with this is highly appreciated!!My best,Anna 

This is basically a repeat of someone else who posted this bug 5 months ago and never got a response. I however am not on a surface book it's an Asus Zenbook if that matters. I myself have been dealing with this problem for at least 5 months probably longer and I AM SO TIRED OF DEALING WITH IT. Please fix this problem!!!!! In the settings for Windows 10, you can reverse the vertical scrolling direction of the trackpad.   Normally, this has no effect on the horizontal scrolling direction. For example, in Illustrator and other programs, when you use two fingers to swipe left, the viewing area moves to the left (i.e. the document moves off to the right). This is the behavior of every program on the planet, Windows and Mac, except for Photoshop.   What happens now in Photoshop is that the horizontal scroll is also incorrectly reversed if you choose to reverse your trackpad's vertical scroll direction.
