Don’t understand why photoshop creates strange color noise when colorizing a B&W photo. The attached sample should not happen as pure colors should not be generated but wondering if there is an easy way to get rid of them? Tried “Color Range” but it not great.
I work in PhotoShop daily and sometimes I use a digital pad so I can draw pictures using a stylus rather then my mouse. The pad is a 22 inch Huion tablet which is hooked up like a third monitor. The problem is when I use it and work in PhotoShop I have to drag PhotoShop over to that pad. That wouldn't be so bad but any window that has not yet been open will open on the default monitor and not the monitor where I dragged PhotoShop. My question is this, is there a way to bring PhotoShop to another monitor all at once so everything opens at that location rather than the default location?
I spend time arranging my palettes (3 monitors) so I can save the workspace and work faster.EVERY TIME a major update comes out my workspace gets deleted and I have to spend time redoing it.For the love of any deity, natural force, or just yourself, spend time on simple core functionality and less on things you think we all need to make work faster. If you can get AI to arrange my palettes… then get to work.
I would like the new Actions Panel (as of 27.0) to allow displaying multiple columns of Actions. Should that option already exist and I have overlooked it please forgive me missing that.
I’m using the latest ACR/PS versions on a Windows 11 laptop. I always save as high-quality (12) jpgs, but this is probably irrelevant to the question. With XMP files, ACR snapshots, PS logging, and my own manual logging, it’s easy to recreate PS states from the original RAW, except for crops. I’m well aware that I can save individual crops as PSD files and come back to them later, but there are issues with this - the biggest one is that I’m struggling with storage space as it is and don’t want to add to the problem. It’s trivial to see the exact pixel dimensions of a crop, but I would need to recreate them with the subjects (99% of them are birds) framed with the exact placement. So, is there some way to do this? Could I manually write down some values while in the original session or maybe look at the original crop in a future session as part of a system to recreate it from the original RAW, from the state just prior to the crop, which sometimes is a previous, looser crop.
Hi everyone,I’m facing an issue where all .ccx extensions fail to install with no response or installation popup.Affected plugins tested:Lumenzia MagicTouch PixelExpandAll behave the same way.Problem description:When I double-click any .ccx file:Nothing happens (no installer window, no error, no Creative Cloud popup) No Adobe extension installer is triggered It looks like the file is ignored completelySystem details:Windows 11 Adobe Photoshop 27.7.0 installed and working normally Adobe Creative Cloud installed and signed in CCXProcess appears in Startup Apps What I already tried:Reinstalled Photoshop and Creative Cloud Restarted PC multiple times Checked Windows Security / antivirus blocking Tested multiple .ccx plugins (same result) Verified Creative Cloud is logged inWhy would .ccx files not trigger any installation at all (no popup / no error)? Is this related to:CCXProcess / CEP service corruption? Windows file association issue? Creative Cloud extension installer broken? Photoshop
I was going to print from my Epson Surecolor P7000 but am having issues. I need to change the paper size, for starters. I used to do that in the Print Settings tab. When I click on it now I get the dialog box shown in the second screen shot. I need to choose Roll Paper and specify sizes etc. What has happened? I am on a new computer and don’t believe I have printed from it yet. Do I need to install some kind of driver? The drop down list in Printer Profile also does not seem to be showing paper selections and my previously saved profile is not showing. Presumably I need to add that but I’m a little confused since the other selections don’t seem to be printer paper (see screen shot 3). Thanks for any help.
This morning when I started Photoshop all my actions were suddenly gone. In the action panel there is only a group called “default actions”. I used it yesterday and my actions were all there. When checking in Creative Cloud Desktop it says I updated to Photoshop v27.5 21 days ago - so that cannot be the explanation. I have searched my desktop and there are no atn-files later than the backup I created a week ago (and I have made important changes since then). Can anyone explain what may have happened and if there is anything I can do in order to get my Actions back (as they were per yesterday, not the older backup)?Yesterday I installed Premiere and worked a bit with it (it crashed), but cannot see how that would affect my Photoshop actions.
I noticed that with the arrival of the new update for 2024, the pen pressure has stopped working and even in general the program is quite laggy, when you make a stroke or use the lasso tool for a short period of time it freezes and does not let you continue, hindering the workflow, I am using a Huion Kamvas 13 and the pen pressure works with any other program like Clip Studio, Krita even works in Illustrator. But I can't get it to work again in Photoshop.Searching for solutions in forums and videos I HAVE TRIED THE FOLLOWING METHODS: -Have the pen pressure checkbox active in the brush settings.-Verify that the Window Ink checkbox is active from the Huion driver.-Even try with the famous text file "# Use WinTab UseSystemStylus 0". None of this has solved my problem, I honestly can't say in which update specifically I noticed this error, but I know it was from this year's update. I am a bit frustrated as I have not been able to work properly and I need to resolve it. Thanks
I received files (PSD, PDF and EPS, containing just the text layer and template) that were prepared by someone else and they need to be converted for hot foil stamping.I have looked up and found a lot of information and videos about how to create a PSD file and prepare it for the process, but nothing that tells me how to edit an existing file (files).Vague instructions from the printer (in Czech Republic) have not been helpful as far as getting anything done, but this is all of the info I have received: Embossing, hot foil stampingThe artwork should be always created in curves/ vector graphic, and either in specialspot color (called e.g. foil) as a part of the actual artwork, or in 100% black, but thisshould be in a separate file. We can also accept high-resolution line-art images, butthe resolution should not be less than 1200 dpi. These specifications also apply forspot-varnish artwork.and:"Incorrect/insufficient artwork for hot foil stamping, embossing, spot UV varnish, etc. " 300 d
I use Libraries a lot due to the extent of brands I work with, but when I put the window on the side bar I am only able to see 2 or 3 items because the search bar, folder name and icons use a lot of the window space (about 50%). I work on a 27” screen and on the same sidebar I have “properties” and “layers” so I have to sacrify one of them and constantly rearranging the size of each of these windows. Maybe I coudl use other configuration of my space, but other than this particular issue It’s the most comfortable workspace on my +10 years using photoshop.
When launching Photoshop the following error appears on screen:“could not apply the saved panel configuration, resetting to default”After the application starts up, workspace can be restored back to the saved preferred layout and everything function correctly. This started with 27.1 and has continued in to 27.3There was also already a thread on here where Adobe said it was being looked in to and myself and others had submitted error logs to show where it appeared to flagging the error. After the community change here, that previous bug report has disappeared from the link resolving there or finding it via search so adding a new till it gets addressed.
I’ve got a keyboard that does macros. I had generative fill prompts set up, for example ctrl shift f11, remove text, tab tab tab enter. Now when I attempt this, it doesn’t work with the new dialog box. Is there a way to get this to work instead of tabbing to the generate button; like ctrl-entert or some other combo that just runs the operatrion? Attempting to tab to it causes the dialog header to change color like it is not selected.
Need a good stitch tool for generating panoramas from multiple photos. Needs to work both vertically and horizontally.
(My, is the search engine in this forum terrible)Any feedback, official or non, on support for the new Mac Neo, either configuration? I’ve seen some positive comments from YouTubers, but wondered what general experience is. I understand other Macs I could buy, and will not use this as my main machine, but as a travel machine. Thanks!
Is it OK, that all custom Proof setups remain checked, even when I select Working CMYK back?It is really confusing.PS 27.6, Win 11
when I go to save the image Photoshop does not allow me to choose to save it to cloud document. The icon is not active and remains grey. (see picture). I have never saved my images to the cloud, so maybe is a dummy question. What can I do to activate it?
I usually start with a RAW file. Then save it as TIF16 and finally convert it to 8 bit and save it as JPG. If, by mistake, I save it as GIF, then all EXIF data is gone “forever”. If I UNDO the operation and go back to the 16 bit version, the elimination of the data is NOT undone. At this point I have to close everything, re-open the TIF16, convert it to 8 bit and save it again as JPG.I don’t know if this is really a BUG but it wold be great if EXIF data could be part of the UNDO process as well!By the way: (suggestion): It would be great too if there was a key combination to SAVE AS TIF or SAVE AS JPG directly, without going through the dialog box, choose the file type, click OK, etc. This place is where the above mistake usually happens!
I paid my monthly subscription for both Illustrator 30.4 and Photoshop 27.7.0 yesterday. All was working fine. Quit both apps yesterday at the end of the days work. Went to launch Photoshop today only to find that it had been uninstalled. Managed to get hold of Adobe who agreed that for some reason it had been uninstalled (I never did it….. why would I?), and so they remotely reinstalled it for me.Here’s the gripe. All of my custom brushes that are based around those Kyle brushes in the Megapack, and which I have spent over a year making and saving- gone! Not just a few brushes but hundreds of them. Had I known it was possible for this to happen, then I would have saved them to an external drive. Has this happened to anybody else?To say that I am rather peeved would be an understatement!! 😡
When placing a file using File>Place Linked... there should be an option to not store any pixel data of that Linked file into the PSD file to keep the file size as small as possible. For example: When I take a bracket shot with my drone (DJI Air 3) in 8K, each of the RAW photos (DNG) is about 100MB in file size. When I now import 3 of these DNG files into Photoshop using File>Place Linked... and just save it as a PSD, the total file size is 792MB which is absurd in my opinion considering that each RAW photo is only 100MB.When I do exactly the same by using File>Place Embedded... and save it again, the PSD file size increases to 1,98GB (which is completely insane by the way).So there is definitely a benefit of using the Place Linked... option but it's still pretty clearly saving a large amount of pixel data into the PSD file even though I set Image Previews and Maximize PSD Compatibility both to Never under the Settings>File Handling tab. My file explorer (macO
I think it would be neat to crop both of these photos so the subject roughly lines up on each photo. I don’t know how to do that, so how do I do that?Idk if it matters but I’m on macOS.
What happened to all the swatch colors in one grid? Now they are grouped and I only see a few in the RGB category? If I click Legacy, there are still groups. Does anyone know how I can get that back? I find this new layout very inconvenient.
Hi, guys! I use Photoshop mainly for illustration and concept art. I prefer to resize brush size with ALT + RIGHT CLICK DRAG, but if you drag up and down you change the opacity. I would like to lock this feature, so draging only changes size. The issue here is that I often end up changing the opacity without noticing it. Is there a way to disable opacity change on alt + right click drag method? If not, this would be a good feature to add, since it is faster to resize the brush this way, rather than by clicking the brackets. Other people have requested this before on other forums: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/alt-right-click-drag-resize-opacity-lock https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/feature-request-option-to-disable-hardness-opacity-control-from-alt-right-click-brush-control-hot-key Thanks in advance!! Best regards!!
