Hi, I've noticed that there has been an isssue reported with Photoshop CC 25.9 (beta) here about Photoshop failing to start with error 000142. https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/photoshop-beta-v-25-9-cannot-be-started/m-p/14591455?search-action-id=547761064070&search-result-uid=14591455 However, it looks like this is now occurring on the released version of 25.9. Photoshop auto-updated itself today (was working fine before), and I now get the same error 000142 when I try and start it. This is NOT a Photoshop beta version. This is on Windows 10. CPU is a 14 year old Intel core i7. I know it's old.... but it's been working fine with no issues 🙂 Is this no longer supported? If that is the case, why did the auto-updater allow Photoshop to update? Am I going to need to downgrade back to the previous version or is this issue going to be fixed? Seems very strange that if Adobe knew of this issue that v25.9
Hi everyone,I’ve recently encountered a frustrating problem with Photoshop and I’m hoping someone here might have some insights or solutions. Here’s the issue: every time I open Photoshop, it works fine for about 10 seconds. After that, a white box appears on the screen, and it renders the program completely unusable. Additionally, every time I try to click or perform any action in Photoshop, I hear a sound, but nothing happens. This problem also occurs when I try to paste something or perform similar actions.I’ve tried restarting the program and my computer multiple times, but the issue persists. I’m running the latest version of Photoshop on a Windows 10 machine. My graphics drivers are up to date, and I’ve even tried reinstalling Photoshop, but no luck so far.Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any suggestions on how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.Best regards
I just renewed my student plan for Adobe Creative Cloud which includes 100GB cloud storage but for some reason whenever I open my adobe softwares on my desktop it says that I only have 5GB and to upgrade to continue syncing. I checked my Adobe account and it still says 100GB but all my softwares say 5GB except for lightroom which has 200GB. I've tried searching this problem but I can't seem to find any solutions and I've tried restarting my laptop, updating it, uninstalling and then reinstalling Creative Cloud and all my applications but still no change. Has anyone else has had this issue or can offer some help?
Photoshop 2024, Version 25.9.1macOS Sonoma 14.5Processor: 1,4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 1536 MBMemory: 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 I've recently been having this issue with glitching menus, as can be seen in the provided video. It's an issue that appeared seemingly out of nowhere; one day Photoshop was functioning normally, then when I opened it the following day I began having this problem. Both my Mac and Photoshop are up to date. Some things I have done to try to solve the issue include: - Resetting preferences on quit- Restarting the computer- Uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop However, the issue persists. For the most part, it's a simple annoyance, but with buttons and text sometimes disappearing, it can also make navigating menus needlessly difficult. Thanks in advance to anyone who might have a solution.
Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.2.0 20231121.r.196 12a6c2a x64Windows 10 - 64-bit Reproduce:1. Select/click on an object, especially a text object to display the transformation handles. 2. Click on any handle (corner, middle, doesn't matter) causes RANDOM resizing or movemewnt of the entire object. This bug has been ongoing. Lots of useless commentary form support staff, but no resolution. Cannot stress the level of frustration that this annoying bug is causing, and has caused over the years.
Got a new layer? Hover the mouse over of some pixels on that layer and you can identify what layers exist at that point. - You all know this! Background + My Lovely Layer. All is good However, when you rename the layer to "-" (hyphen minus without the quotes) you get this: Any other layer names that are ignored by Photoshop??
When I save for web (export > save for web legacy) exported image size is bigger 2x then showed in preview. It wasnt like this before. Preview image size was accurate.
No matter what I do the pen tool will not go to no fill. I can pick every dog gone color under the sun but no the feature that I need. And instead of being able to ask one specific person I have to go around trying to find this and that just to attempted to get a solution to the issue. Since when did our world become so tech centered that we can't have people help people like a support team is supposed to do.
I'm experenced with art software but two days old in Photoshop. Right click Copy and Paste layer style is greyed out and Fx missing beside each layer in layer panel. I have lots of layers that need the a complex gradient color blend updated so they match. The help instructions don't match the program. Is there a better older release available or a better drawing program available?
every time i want to open fotn style i'm seeing this error....
Strange behavior. I did resize a blank canvas and PS added a black line onto it. Watch the video so you know what I mean.
Hi, I'm updated to 25.9.1 and I can't open any files at all - tiff, psd, create new... anything. Always get error message,Could not open “name of file” because of a program error.Help!MacOS 12.7.4, MacBook pro
Whenever I want to paint over my image using a layer mask my cursor will stick to the side of the canvas. i can stil paint, but i will not see my cursor. So i have to paint blind, thats a hard thing to do. This problem has occured suddenly without any changes to my settings. Anyone with the same issue?
I'm running Windows 11, my GPU is an RX 6700, my CPU is a Ryzen 5 Pro 4650g, I have 16 GB of RAM, a 500 GB drive split in two, my main C drive still has over 40 GB d free space and my D+ of 200. My graphics card driver is up to date. However Adobe tells me that my PC is not compatible to install Photoshop (I am directly on the site not on creative cloud)
i think adobe took away the Kelvin scale in PS and camera raw and instead just has sliders - this is a BIG NO for lots of photographers who are used to Kelvin scale - esp. for asto and night photography -'put it back - and do NOT take it away from LR -
I used to have all my recent files show up on the startup screen for Photoshop. Now it only has 3 that were from over a year ago. I am using Photoshop 25.9.1. It has been doing this through several updates however. I have not done anything that I know of to account for this issue. Any thoughts on how to get the recent files to show up? I am attaching a screenshot.
Latest Photoshop, Mac. Clicking on the name of a colour swatch does this:I can't figure out a way of reinstating the name of the swatch once this has happened. I assume that's not intentional behaviour?
I noticed today that in the Layer Style window on PS 25.9.1 (Windows) the pull-down menu for gradient options overlaps the angle circle.
If I Option drag a clipped layer to the bottom of the layer palette (to duplicate it), I get this: I cannot unclip it, since ther's nothing it's clipped to. Also I cannot change blend modes (you can see they are greyed out). If I cmd+click on the "new layer" icon, I get a new empty layer at the bottom, and "layer 2" is now clipped to that and all is 'normal' again (second screenshot is after I restarted PS, and made the document again. So it shoud be pretty repeatable). MacStudio, OSX 12.6.1; PS 24.2.0
When placed into a psd document, PNG or JPG images are distorted/jagged, in a way that resembles resampling and aliasing artifacts. This happens when canvas is off-center and not fitting in the work area, or when it is centered at specific large non-rounded zoom levels. This is reproducible 100% of the times. If the canvas is centered and/or fitting the work area, placing works as expected. If images are placed by dragging or copying from another psd document within Photoshop, placing works as expected. i have 16GB RAM on my PC + 8GB of GPU. Adobe is set to use 70% of that ~8.5GB. I have gone through their support page Optimize performance Photoshop (adobe.com) but nothing helps! Photoshop used to work great until recently but I came back to it this week and using simple tools such as the Perspective Warp and others makes it use 12GB of RAM (see below) and freeze. My documents arent really all that big. I have tried re-installing photoshop but it is not helping! I have the latest version 23.3.2 Help please I cannot use this programme as it is! Thank you
Hi I'm a university student and for the past 3 years I have been using a activation code given by my university for all the adobe creative cloud apps at a discounted price. I just renewed my subscription in February for another year, yet Adobe has informed me today that I only have 6 days left of my subscription. I've included my receipts below please help.
Photoshop is not remembering the default setting for scaling. It automatically reverts to non-proportional scaling, forcing me to take an extra step by clicking the "maintain aspect ratio" link button every time I need to scale an object, which is quite often. It matters not whether PS is continually open or restarted: It always reverts to non-proportional scaling as the default setting after each use. This has been occuring for several days now. Please fix!
