Photoshop Elements

I use PSE just about every day, in Expert mode only.  I have large PSD files, several over 1 GB, but most in the 500 MB range.  As of the last few days, I cannot open the larger ones.  They crash with an error "could not complete the request because of a disk error", which I believe is not really related to disk problems.  I have no errors on the smaller PSD files.  However, all PSD's are taking significantly longer to load recently. Configuration:- I use Windows 10, PSE 15- Files stored on 1 TB hard drive, which is currently less than 50% used - Dell laptop with 32 GB memory- In PSE, Preferences > Performance shows: Available Ram 25619 MB, and Let PSE use 70% (I had this on 80% originally and tried also with 90% and 70%). I have no clue why this would just suddenly happen with the last couple days.  I have plenty of disk space and available Ram.  I had a problem recently (reported here) with eLive causing problems.  I don't use

I am using Photoshop Elements 2023 (version 21.0), which comes with "Camera Raw". But I can't yet open raw (*.arw) or heif (*.hif) images taken with the new Sony Alpha 6700. I know that I just have to wait for Adobe to add support for the raw files. But when I try to open the heif file it just tells me it's the wrong format. I could use "Imaging Edge Desktop" by Sony but I prefer using Photoshop Elements.Adobe says that PSE supports HEIF:https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/supported-file-formats-photoshop-elements.html* HEIF files format is supported only on macOS 10.13.x and above. Currently, HEIF files can only be imported in Photoshop Elements 2019 release.Does that mean it isn't supported on Windows 10? Does it mean they removed support after the 2019 release? I have downloaded the trial version of Photoshop Elements 2022. However, when I click (in the box that pops up when launching it) to purchase a licence it only gives me the option to get a licence for Photoshop Elements 2023.I do NOT want Photoshop 2023 as my computer does not meet the system requirements for it.Does the licence / serial that I would purchase for 2023 work for the 2022 version I have downloaded?What is the workaround for this? 

Struggling with the organiser.  Quite a few issues buta) the "file" "edit" "find" "view" and "help" dropdowns aren't working.b) The folder list is just an alphabetical list of all folders and sub folders so for example I have lots of folders called "edit" which are sub folders but they are not shown linked to their parent folder.c) It keeps creating an additional people tag for the same persond) I press a "tick" box  and nothing appears to happen until I open task master and the appropriate dialog box magically appears. Plus a few other issues. Any suggestions?

Trying to print a photo, Elements 2022 hangs immediately at selecting the Print menu.  It does not first bring up the printer dialog (like to select a printer or any options).  All menus are dead then, it is locked up and requires Windows 10 Task Manager to end it (which takes two tries to actually kill it).   It is a new Elements installation, it has never printed before, but seems to work OK except for Print. Maybe it is some kind of initialization error?  How might I fix it?  Does it just need a reinstall? 

I posted an issue with an error, but some  Some Kate Hayes... asked me to send an email to <spam email removed>   That sopunds to me like a scam, anyone knows about this?    What are the adobe the help channels? It's really dissapointing that Adobe doesn't have help online 😞 

Wie kann ich im Ordner "Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files" Dateien mit ims-Endung automatisch löschen?

Any idea if they've announced a plan to fix it? I FINALLY upgraded from 2011 to 2023 after getting a brand new PC for my small business and I can't even continue my design work since PSE isn't recognizing certain  fonts. I've only attempted one thankfully, trying to update my website media and I don't even want to continue installing fonts if they're not all going to register. 

Anyone know please how many devices you can use Photoshop Elements Editor on once purchased and how do you go about installing into a second device  if it is possible ?

For several months Adobe has prompted me from within my version of PSE15 that a discounted upgrade was available.  Today (august 8, 2023) I opted to take advantage of that offer.  I was directed to an Adobe page where I entered my CC info.  That transaction waqs completed but when re-directed to what I assumed to be a download page I received a prompt that said a direct pourchase was not available in my region - a region that was not identified in the message. Hoiwever the charge to my credit card went through, which I have since disputed.  I live in Canada.

I get a message that there is an update available for PSE 2020 then when I try to quit the program I get a text window that says: There is no application set to open the URL auphd://update?sapCode=PSE&baseVersion=18.0&platform=osx10-64&skipUpdateInfo=true.Don't know what to do then. I won't allow the App to quit normally, I have to force-quit it.

Keine Kartenanzeige unter Organizer 2023 (23.0.0.0)Möchte man einen Ort eingeben, erscheint ein Orts-Such-Fenster, dessen Button aber grau bleibt und man somit keine Orte suchen kann.Lediglich beim Beenden ist mir aufgefallen, dass kurz die Weltkarte (s/w) angezeigt wird mit dem Hinweis, dass eine Internetverbindung erforderlich ist (die natürlich vorhanden ist).Dies war bereits unter 2018 so -> Update auf 2023 -> selbe ProblemWer kann mir hier weiter helfen?

Ich habe gerade eben meine alte 14-er Version durch PSE 2023 ersetzt und kriege es einfach nicht hin, wie in der "alten" Version mit dem Programmstart ohne Startbildschirm-Umweg direkt den Fotoeditor zu starten. Wie kann ich mein Problem lösen? Danke für Tipps und Gruss, Hans

I've been using PSE for many, many, years and versions. However, with the upgrade to the 2020 version, I noticed a file called logs.txt on my desktop.  It has entries like this:Face: 1Left: 0.470029Right: 0.565006Top: 0.241267Bottom: 0.399563Face: 2Left: 0.290384Right: 0.407661Top: 0.193147Bottom: 0.38861Face: 3Left: 0.578529Right: 0.699157Top: 0.263228Bottom: 0.464274If I delete the file, it will be re-created.  The file seems to be created (or appended) when I import new files into Organizer and/or I do face detection. I probably would never have noticed this file if it hadn't appeared on my desktop.  I'm unsure if this behavior is normal, or if there's a way to turn it off, or to at least have it another location. Any information would be helpful.-Brian J

Hello, Currently running version 14 on a PC running WIN7. Whenever I try to do a task from the commands on the left side of the screen such as enhance, draw or evn the hand/grab tool, it can take up to two minutes for my PC to become aware of what it is I am trying to do. If I try to crop a photo and want to resize the crop say from the corner, I click on the corner to shrink it but unless I keep my finger on the mouse button for about two minutes, it will move the crop to where ever I last released the mouse button. Why is this happening and can it be fixed? Opening photo files and performing any adjustments such as exposure or saturation happen fairly quickly. Please help. Thank you

I have literally spent 1.5 hours trying to get my photos to import in chronilogical order, and all they do is come in numbered in reverse order.  I was taking photos from 7/1-19/23 and the one numbered '001' is the last photo I took. I want '001' to be the first photo I took

(iMac24 inch versie 13.5 OS is ook nog geen maand oud)- Het lukt me niet alle foto's (in een keer) te importeren vanaf de externe SDD HD.- Het lijkt aanvankelijk of het programma de foto's wil binnenhalen. maar gewenste resultaat blijft uit.- Ontzettend frustrerend!- In eerste instantie de hele HD aangewezen, maar dat lukte niet. (appr 600 GB) - Vervolgens alle mappen aangewezen, ook dat lukte niet, alleen jaren 1970-1979 werden geimporteerd.- Vervolgens werkwijze aangepast en per 5 jaar mappen aangewezen. Geen resultaat.- Vervolgens als ik foto's per jaar aanwijs, lukt het aanvankelijk gedeeltelijk om bestanden te importeren en correct weer te geven in de mappenstructuur. - Maar dan stokt het proces weer. Ook deze werkwijze is geen succes.- Nu verder foto's per maand importeren tot het jaar 2022.- Na vele moedeloze pogingen weet ik het niet meer.&nbs

I keep getting message saying thatr the programme may be damaged. I have unistalled it and reinstall. but keep getting the same message.can any one help.

When I place photographs on the map, in Elements 2023 Organiser the name selected by Organiser is randomly selected to be place often a long way away.  It is not possible to edit the name as altering it changes the name of the existing places which are genuinely in that place. Often the same name is given to anywhere within a one hundred square mile area, a comparatively large area in the UK!I have read and reread all of the help from Adobe.  I have spent time on many chats with support.  I bought 2018 so that I could put my photos on the map. this facility did not work. I left updating until now hoping that it would be resolved, but no it has not.  It worries me that if I pay for Elements 2023 maps will stop working altogether, as it did with 2018, when it is out of warranty. I have been advised to pay £120 per year for Photoshop, but no one seems to know whether Place works when you use Lightroom for the UK. Elements 9 was bundled with my PC when I bought it, I don't have a CD or anything but I do want to reinstall it. I had to reinstall Win10 and it wiped Elements 9, even though it said it wouldn't.Can anyone point me in the right direction? If a licence is installed and might be still present I would apprectate advice on how to recover it? It was installed with another adobe product, but it is Elements 9 that I want to reinstall. 

Hi all,Yesterday I bought the Photoshop elements 2023 and Premiere Elements 2023 but I can't install both of them.While I am running the program for installation, is poping up a window with "Sign in error".Also are not visible in the creative cloud.I have trying all possibilities given but still nothings.I am running new laptop with windows 11 and all futures are available for these softwares.Any solution?Thank you in advance.KRDimitrios

Just moved from Elements 10 to 2023. Need to use the line tool. Help tells me I will find it under the Custom Tool. This tool is not in my toolbar. I'm in Expert Mode. Where is the Custom Tool?
