Photoshop Elements

My photos are arranged chronogically, but sometimes I take photos of old maps or old photos.  They are positioned chronologically as to when I took the photo, but I then want to change the date to match the historic map or photo so it would be in the correct historic chronological order.  So, I replace the date.  That all works fine, but it leaves me way back at the historic date instead of where I was when I decided to correct the date.  Is there an easy way for me to return to the original chronological position where the photo used to be?   In case this is confusing, here is an example.  In 2010, I photo-copied 5 historic aerial photos all from different dates in the 1930s-40s.  They all sat as 2010 photos for 12 years.  Now I want to redate them all - one is from 1937, 1942, 1948, etc.  When I did the first one, I was left in 1937.  Now I want to go back to 2010 to work on the second one.  How do I get back to the aerials

I recently followed instructions in a YouTube video to increase the canvas size and add a drop shadow to a few photos. It works perfectly in PSE 2020. But, at the end of the process, I did a select all and added a stroke (outline) around the white space. This added another shadow inside the stroke which I didn't want. The only way around this I found was to save the photo as a JPG after adding the drop shadow and then reload the photo and then add the stroke. Is there a better way to do this without the extra steps of saving as a JPG and then reloading it to add the stroke? 

Hej, jag har sedan tidigare installerat Luminar 4 som plug in till fotoshop, nu har jag skaffat Luminar AI, och nu kan jag inte få bort det gamla luminar 4, hur får jag in det nya luminar istället? 

I was told this was a bug In the software that had some kind of workaround posted in these forums.  I can't find it.I have photoshop elements 2018.  After removing a plugin... DXO Viewpoint 2 and upgrading to Viewpoint 3... the filter for both are showing.There is no plugin installed for viewpoint 2 anymore and there isn't any files on my MAC that refer to viewpoint 2Anyway to edit this out of photoshop?

Ich habe Photoshop Elements neu und lizensiert, kann es aber kaum nutzen.Fast alle FUnktionen sind gesperrt / ausgegraut. Warum? Alle Funktionen unter dem Haupt-Menupunkt Ebenen sind ausgegraut. Ich kann keine Ebenen erstellen.Alle Punkte unter dem Hauptmenupunkt Fenster sind ausgegraut mit Ausnahme von Werkzeuge. Kann mir jemand helfen?

I recently got a new computer. I open the app, and it tells me "Login required." I enter my log in information, and instead of logging me in, it leads me back to the screen that says, "Login required." This is Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 transferred from another computer via Time Machine.

After years of working brilliantly, I cannot access the editor suite in my PSE 12 .  Catalogue is fine.  Have uninstalled and reinstalled (twice).  No change - no editor!

How can old, not being used File Tag Properties be edited independent without Organizer learning that you did this?  I use Elements Organizer 2023 with my WIN11 64Bit OS. I have used Organizer for many years. Previously, 12 years?, there were other Apps used. The Organizer Tags are fine. They actually reside with the Tag data found in each file Properties, under the DETAILS tab as you do that right click to access that files Properties. This is where my wish to do some Tag maintenance. As due to the history of my catalogue endeavors there exists a residual amount of unneeded Tag data, in the file's Properties. Now, these other Tags go un noticed by Organizer though these other residual Tag data are "Seen" by other applications and treated as 'bonafide' image references. For instance, on another Cloud Server the Organizer Tab data is managed, which is fine, BUT, so are unwanted Tag data not used anymore which, makes lots of clutter. ... I bought the set of Photoshop and Premiere Elements end december 2022 and installed version 20.0. It runs on a Windows 10 machine. The Help\Updates... menu item is greyed out.However obviously there are updates (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/release-note/update.html). First to 2022.1 on december 18th and now to 2022.2 on february 7th.Creative cloud only updates Camera RAW to 14.2.My photoshop elements version is still 20.0. Hello,I'm using Adobe Elements Organizer 2019 since e few months. I imported my 97000 photo's and video's and turned on Face Recognition. This took a while but my iMac did it and now all faces are somehow found by the program. However my problem is that the first stacks were quite large with sometimes more than 100 people in it so this was working fine, of course still al lot of work because the software was not always right in choosing the right combinations. But after a lot of evenings and Sunday afternoons I got to the point when I thought this is the last stack and then there was the small selection box in the top left corner saying 'Hide Small Stacks'. When I unchecked this box there popped op over 20000 stacks of peoples faces. The stacks contain only 1,2 or sometimes 3 faces so it is almost undoable to manually organise these enormous amount of faces.When I look at the stack I wonder why the software did make so many stacks because the faces of a lot of people ar not so differen

I use the " Notes" field in Photoshop Elements Version 20.0 to enter information about my photos and would like to be able to extract in bulk the contents of this field. There are programs that extract the EXIF data nicely but not the Notes field, even if I use the "Save Metadata to File" option.Does anyone know of a way to do this? Thanks, Gunther

Aktueller Updatestand.Windows 11, version 22H2, ebenfalls aktueller Updatestand. Ich benutze Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 (inkl. Premiere Elements). Der Druck aus Photoshop Elements 2022 auf einen Canon Pixma TS8351 ist plötzlich nicht mehr möglich. Das Programm ist nach „Datei“ -> „drucken“ nicht mehr bedienbar. Deinstallieren und Neuinstallation (Photoshop und Premiere) ändert daran nichts. Ich muss ein  jpg- Bild erzeugen und dieses mit einem anderen Programm drucken. Andere Programme drucken wie erwartet. Was ist zu tun?

I have downloaded the trial of PSE 2023 and I am testing it. I used File Info to look at the metadata fields on a photo and then modified all three fields with another program. When I then re-looked at the fields in PSE,  one of the fields (Copyright Notice) shows the update, but the other two fields (Description and Title) does not.

I saved raw photos that  I edited in Elements 2022 and can not open them in recently installed Elements 2023.  I have also installed Add On Utitlities 2023

Had no problems with my trial version of Windows Elements 2022 and camera RAW but I've just purchased Elements and it's 2023 version.  Gone to put camera RAW on and I get error 131.  I cannot see how to get through to Adobe themselves to try and sort this issue out. Tried closing all processes according to their help page, restarting computer, have downloaded RAW separately so I am now at a loss.   Do they have an online technical support?

I like the Elements Organizer, but there is still after all the years one feature missing:"Writing metadata to file" does not write face tags.I would expect the Organizer to read and write XMP-rwg-rs face tags just like Lightroom does since years.I just verified using ExifTool that the newly released Photoshop Elements Organizer 2019 still does not do that.I have many photos with tagged faces in that format from Picasa and digiKam and want to import them.Also I don't want to loose those metadata together with the catalog.So please tell me when we can expect support for that in Elements.Will it be implemented in Photoshop Elements 2020?If yes, this would be the next version for me to buy (staying with Elements 12).

Hi,I just bought a new laptop with Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64.On my old laptop I had Photoshop Elements 2018. I bought an upgrade to PE 2023 from Adobe and installed it on my new laptop which worked fine.I then wanted to restore my catalogue but I can`t get it to work. I have the backup on an external hard drive. I clicked on restore from hard drive and chose backup.tly. I then clicked on restore files and catalogue to original location. I am not sure if it should be restored to Elements 2023 Organizer or Photoshop Elements 2023. I have tried both and both times a window comes up saying ”You have no write permissions or write access (it is in Swedish so I don`t know which translation is correct) to the file you marked. Mark another file.”What in the world is wrong?? What shall I do?Hope to get some help.Sture Persson

The Asus Studiobook laptop has a multi-function dial that is advertised as being useful when using Photoshop  Does this only work for the Creative Cloud?  I am unable to get the dial to work with Photoshop Elements 2023.
