Photoshop Elements

Is it possible to move the Photoshop [Elements] 13 program from a older laptop to a newer one?     ("Elements" added by moderator as per later post)    

I have been using PE 2026 since purchasing recently without any issues, but now I cannot load the program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I can use it once then when I try again I cannot load it again. Can anyone help with this problem please?

I've had to reinstall Photoshop Elements 24 on my PC after a reinstallation of Windows 11.  Previously I'd used Canon Print Studio Pro as it provides a good printing interface.  After going through the download process, I've been unable to get Print Studio Pro to open even though I see that a Print Studio Pro folder has been created.  Each time I open the PSE photo editor I get a message that one or more plug-ins are unavailable.  Looking at Help/System Info I see that four plug-ins from 4 different files failed to load.  I had no problem with installing Print Studio Pro in the initial installation of PSE24, nor in PSE11.  I've directed the download to the Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Elements 24\Plug-ins folder.  I've also tried the installer's default of a Canon folder, though I can't find any Canon folders containing Print Studio Pro after doing this. Thanks in advance for your help.  

I have a brand new in the box Adobe Photoshop elements 2022. I had it for awhile and never installed it on any of my computers. Now when I try installing I am getting and "installer may be damaged message".  I am not sure what to do with this? I have never even had the chance to use it. 

I have been using the Photoshop Elements photo editor just fine, but recently it won't open and sends me to a Free Trial page. I have it on my PC with Windows 11. I was able to get the Photoshop Premiere video program open, just not the photo editor. 

When I open my PSE I get first one and then one more messages.First: The required components were not completely installed. Please reinstall the application.Second: Online Services could not be initialised. Please reinstall. My father in law has Photoshop Elements 2021 installed on his Mac. He upgraded to Mac OS Tahoe now he cannot use his Organizer and Editor anymore. Since Photoshop Elements is not compatible with Mac OS Tahoe, this will not work.I'd like to know the solution with the least of work ;-). What are the best steps to solve this problem? Do I need to downgrade first Mac OS (and then upgrade to Photoshop Elements 2026) or will it also be possible to directly upgrade to Photoshop Elements 2026 (this last option would save me a lot of time to help him out...)?

I would love to work with WebP pictures in my Elements 2025, but it say: could not complete your request because it is not the rigth kind of document.I have tried WebpShop_0_4_3, but nothing happens.What to do?

In Elements 2026, using Process multiple files from the File menu and specifying rename files and convert files to jpg, I get the error message "You must specify an extension for the output file(s). The only way to get round this is to specify Extension in the 2nd box of the Rename section but if I do that then the other options in the 2nd box can't be used. So, for example, I can't rename my output files to "MyNewName + 1 digit serial number". I also have Elements 2020 and there isn't this issue because the output file extension is derived from the "Convert Files to" field.

Windows 11, 24H2, 3year subscription to PSE 2025.I've got two SSD drives. I initially downloaded PSE into the Program Files on the C drive. The C drive has 228GB free of 476GB and the D drive has 789GB free of 931GB, so I figured it would be a little more efficent to establish a Program Files on the D drive and moves some programs from C to D. I did this sccessfully with Affinity by Canva. So, why not with PSE?  Via Settings>Apps, I successfully removed PSE and its companion Add-on Utilites, and downloaded/installed PSE 2025 to a "New Folder" under Program Files on the D drive. troubles started with trying to rename the New Folder to Adobe. Kept getting error messages that couldn't be done since some Adobe files were still active. I finally solved that problem by using the Task Manager and  ending any tasks associated with Adobe. PSE now resided under Adobe on the D drive. However, now PSE could not be called into action...nothing opened. So, in frustration, I re

When I create a custom pattern what happens to it? I cannot find it in the patterns list. Do I have to move it somewhere? Thanks.  

Is there a way to create a shape i.e. a rectangle with no fill but with an faint outline to use as a guide? Example I want a card outline around these image so when I print I can see where to cut. I have the shape but cannot figure out how to have no fill. I made the shape with the shape tool because if I use rectangular marquee I cannot see how to make an outline because it just disappears when I click off it.

I updated to Elements 2026 and now when I use the lasso tool it won't feather, no matter what the feather number is set to. I tried resetting the tool. Anti-aliasing box is checked. I don't want to have to go into "refine edge" every time I want to feather my selection. How can I fix this?

Hallo,ich habe versucht PS Elements 2022 auf meinem neuen Windows 11 zu installieren. Dabei kommt immer wieder der Fehlercode 183. Es fehlt eine msvcp120.dll Datei. Ich habe es mit einem neuen Installationsdownload versucht und mit der Installation von VC_redist. Windows ist auf dem neusten Stand und trotzdem kommt immer diese Fehlermeldung.

Organizer 2026 Ver. 20251112.EO.64802456 not loading Photo Editor, instead offers "Download trial" "Photoshop Elements for free". I already bought & installed PSE 2026 that was loading Photo Editor from Organizer before this apparent update.

Whilst copy the caption from one photo to another photo in a folder, Organzier copys the caption to ALL photos in the folder.  This does not happen every time I do this. What a I doing wrong? 

I am currently one day into a 7-day trial of Photoshop Elements 2026, having used older versions previously. I have installed this on a new Windows 11 computer, because my old version won't run on it. The one Filter I make a lot of use of is Liquify, mostly for dewarping. Unfortunately, most of the time it just crashes with the message "Could not complete the Liquify command because of a disk error", although it does work fine occasionally. This filter always worked flawlessly even on PSE 7. How can I resolve this problem? I am thinking of looking at other products rather than committing to PSE if I can't have this important feature.  

I have elements 14 have since 2015. It was on a old device which broke years ago I now have a reason to use it again but it says I need to deactivate the old one. I went to my profile though and it says I dont have anything activated there. So not sure what to do.

Looks like the first update to pse 2026 was issued a bit ago today.   I've downloaded it, and ran it twice.   The only thing it did  was change it to lite mode, from the dark mode I had.  Fixes included that business with the feather slider not working. I still had the same original pse 2026 dated 0915 (Septempber 15th)- version 26.0, after the update it should have been 2026.1, and it is not.Anyone else have this issue?   I got no problem unistalling it, the update as I used it was rather small. 

I got a notice this morning that my Photoshop Elements 2026 had updates installed to fix bugs. I am a daily user of Photoshop Elements. Since the update, the polygon lasso tool does not work properly. If I try to add to a selection by holding shift key to start the addition, the polygon lasso behaves like I am constantly holding the shift key down. It moves slowly and jumping if I move the cursor. I use this tool everyday and it has never behaved this way before. It's basically unusable this way. I have rebooted, which had not effect. 

Having problems with new 2026 PSE.  Now when I close a picture in Editor, the new picture does not show up in Organizer, and I do not get the dialogue box to even ask me.  It just closes.  If I change from jpeg to psd, then the dialogue does show, but each time it does not show that it is going to Organizer.  How do I get the dialogue back for all of my pictures from Editor?  Thank you.  Never had this before in 20 years.

Hello,I was just forced to switch to PE 2026 (from 2022) for compatibility with raw images from my wife's new camera. She edits raw images, then saves JPEGS. In the File->Save As dialog, she selects JPEG, and makes sure that the boxes to add to catalog and save in version set are NOT checked. Regardless, each new JPEG gets saved in a version set and displays in line with other versions in the organizer. Have others encountered this? If so, have you figured out how to stop it? I know that it is possible to manually remove an image from a version set, and to stack version sets in the organizer. It seems like these actions should not be required. I have one additional question about the 2026 organizer. We are seeing thumbnails like this:When I hover over the little icon at the upper left the text "Non Match" appears. What does this mean? My google searches have been unhelpful so far. Thanks for any information you can provide! 

I installed PSE 2023 on a clean, fully patched W10 Pro 22H2 and got the 'MSVCR120.DLL missing' error. So I did my research on it, download and installed the latest x64 Visual C++ redisributable package (2015 - 2022) but this didn't fix it. I then removed the Visual C++ package, rebooted, re-installed it, rebooted again but the error remains. I'm hoping I don't need to uninstall then re-install PSE. So, have I missed something or do I need to sacrifice a better quality virgin remove and re-install PSE?

A lot of my edited photos won't play on my digital photo frame. They are all saved as jpegs and look fine on the memory card, when it is in a laptop. This is the first time this has happened, it's always been fine before. Anybody any ideas?
