Photoshop Elements

I just updated to Photoshop Elements 2023. I have accumulated several old versions of Photoshop Elemets on my computer (2019 Mac Pro desktop, 3.5 GHz, 96 GB RAM, Mac OS 12). I don't recall ever seeing an option to remove old versions during the installation process.   Can I delete the old versions without messing with the newest version?   D. Robinson, Ithaca NY

Hi,My Dad has a Mac and elements 2022 installed.The problem he has is that when he is choosing a picture to use all of the thumbnails are quite small and he has difficulty picking the right picture he wants to use.Is there a way of enlarging these picture thumbnails to make it easier for him?He's 89 and not doing too bad. I don't use a Mac so easy to understand instructions would be good.  We use Teamviewer so I can log in and try your suggestions without making the 2 hour trip to try them 🙂I've googled it and some youtube videos say to use, I think, File>preferences>interface, but we have no interface!!I found how to do it in Finder, but this makes no change to PSE.  He can use finder and d/c the picture to open in elements but it's a bit of a faff. Cheers.

I'm working with Adobe PS Elements on a Mac laptop.I just want to edit my own files without a kindergarten teacher taking my pics and telling me that I can add a pain effect and a lens flare to them... I already know this and have my own brain to be creative with.When I start my PS Elements, I get that annoying homescreen asking what I want to do. How can I kill that homescreen?Unfortunately, the answer seems to be in a general menu that everyone seems to have access to with a little checkbox to click to not show the screen on startup. But this isn't the case on mac. After scanning slides to JPEGS, Organizer imports the images as broken links. Other scanned prints import normally. All files are JPEGS; why won't scanned slides import?  Thanks

Hi guys.I create actions in photoshop and a client has run into this issue that we can't seam to fix! very time she tries to play the action it comes up with a pop up box that says " This is an adjustment layer that was created in the full version of photoshop and cannot be edited in photoshop elements. " But the action hasn't even been played. On a background layer with a jpeg image.Can anyone help? It's super frustrating, especially when no one else using elements has a problem with the action!Cheers!

I have used elements for a number of years but noticed declining performance (increased spinning wheel of death) for the last several upgrades. I thought it was my computer (2013 iMac 27"), but now I have a 2021 Mac Mini M1 with 16GB memory (Montery version 12.4) . My photo files are on an OWC Envoy SX connected via thunderbolt. And yet I still get the spinning wheel of death and the software is unusable. I uninstalled, reinstalled. I tried the workaround noted in prior threads (changing the sniffer file).  None of this is working. Before I abandon Adobe and look for something else, does anyone have any suggestions?  Danny 

Photo has the person further away and the client would like the photo zoomed in for print.  How can I do that for them without creating a pixeled photo?

I had Photoshop Elements 2022 and used it for almost a year with no problems. About a month ago, i would open the main screen, then select editor. Once the Editor Screen opened, it would then not respond.  I would have to use Task manager to close the program.  The only way I could get it to work again for a small period of time would be to uninstall and reinstall--a reboot did not do it.  I thought that perhaps with all of the Microsoft/Windows updates, that I need to upgrade to 2023.  I have done that.  The first day I used it, it worked wonderfully.  Now it is the same problem.Please help!

I am into genealogy. I have a collection of data pre sixteen hundred and one, which is the earliest date the program appears to allow. It would be great to be able to alter the PSE20 limit to say A.D. 1400 Any ideas most welcome-nice ones please!

Hello. I just finished compressing ("Save For Web") over 100 images in medium resolution for a client who wanted the images for social media. After sending the medium-resolution files, the client asked for me to resend all the photos in high resolution.  What's the best way to do that with the images I've already edited? I removed objects from all the photos and refined them, but only saved them in the compressed format after being told they were being used for social media (and therefore didn't need to be high resolution). I'm using Photoshop Elements 2022. Thank you!!!       {Title edited b Moderator}

I have registered my product. but once i download, it has me log in. then i have to activate my software. when i do that i type in the serial number again. but when i do this its stating the serial number is incorrect. ive tried this multiple times and every time is not correct. what do i need to do? how can i use my software?

Heute zu zwei weiteren Punkten: Auto-Kuratierung und Erstellen einer Diashow.Als ich bei über 8000 Fotos die Auto-Kuratierung auf 50 stellte, konnte ich nur noch lachen, als die Auswahl blitzschnell mit einem irren Ergebnis abschloss. Wenn die hier gefundenen Fotos vorne zu positionieren sind, gebe ich besser sofort das Fotografieren auf, denn wie mittelmäßig müssen da erst die anderen gut 7950 sein! (Aber warum sollte Photoshop hier präzisere Ergebnisse bringen als bei der Suche nach ähnlichen Fotos.)Nun zum Erstellen von Diashows. Was haben sich die Entwickler nur dabei gedacht, als sie zwar einige phantasievolle Namen (wie "Stück aus dem Leben" oder "Weg zum Frieden"), aber keine einzige wirklich sinnvolle neue Kreation zustande brachten. Hi, I registered my licence code, for Photoshop Elements 2022, on the online Adde registration site.I then downloaded and installed the application. When I open Photoshop Elements editor, it asks to activate the application. I log into my account, and then get a blank screen (see attached). Can anyone help at all?

Elements 2020 organizer does not show photos in the thumbnails, only hourglass for photos after February 2022.  Have to enlarge to where there are only 4 or 8 photos in view.  Nothing new going on; same camera i have used to 10 years.  Photos from 2021 back to oldest display properly in thumbnail.  10 year old computer; Windows 10; 28,000 photos.

When you choose to 'optimize' for printing, you choose the Adobe RGB wider space if no profile is alredy embedded in your file. The main situation is when you shoot 'raw' files. Raw files have no profile before the conversion. The conversion must know which output you want. That menu selection was not available in the PSE ACR interface contrary to the full ACR for Photoshop and Bridge. Hi, I had a 30 day trial installed of Photoshop Elements 2022. After the trial ended, I decided to buy a license which I did today. After entering the serialno, an error was shown that the serial was invalid. Looking closer I saw that I had received a license for Elements 2023, so I uninstalled 2022, and started the installation of Elements 2023. However, the installation ended with error code 195, saying that my system does not meet the minimal system requirements. I cannot upgrade my system, it runs Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 so now I'm stuk and it feels I flushed $99 down the toilet.What are my options?

I'm looking for a method whereby I can copy a pair of direction arrows labelled with N and E from one psd file (the stock file) to another psd file (the working file). As my first attempt to make a stock file, I have set up a transparent background image, and generated the arrows and labelled them. However, I find that none of these elements are copy-able (Edit>Copy of any type is disabled - greyed out). If I group them, the same situation exists. Is there a way of doing this in PE 2022? I was hoping to have a stock file with these direction arrows and their labels set up so that all I need do is copy from this file into my working file. As I expect to have quite a number of these to do in the next 12 months (>15), it would be a lot more efficient to do it this way than to re-create the arrows for each working file. My thanks in advance, Paul.

Help, I have just bought an Olympus OM1 and Photoshop Elements 2021 will not open RAW files.I get a box informing me to get the latest Camera RAW update installed via Help > Updates...When I open the Help box, 'Updates' is greyed out.Advice please.

I've just downloaded Elements 2023 for Mac and am trying to install the Camera Raw plugin but it fails with an error code 501: Can't install at this time.

I've recently upgraded to PE 2022. I have a need to draw arrows to point to specific items on a photo. I believe these can be found in the shape tool suite. However, in Expert mode, the shape tool does not appear and after a fruitless 30mins of trawling through the help manual I can't find how to make it show in the DRAW tools. There doesn't seem to be a menu option to edit the Tool bar, either. Do I need to edit an *.ini file to make this happen? I'd appreciate some help with this as I'm getting rather frustrated. I've had to go to Corel PhotoPaint to do what I want, but all my experience has been with PE up to now. Thanks in advance. Paul.
