Photoshop Elements

I have Photoshop Elements Version 17.  I have installed Camera Raw 13.1.  However, when I check Photoshop Elements Version 17, it states that I only have Camera Raw 11 installed.I cannot open CR2 files taken from my Canon 6D Mk II camera.  As soon as I try to load up image, I receive the following message:I ensured in my camera settings that I selected "RAW" and not the compressed Medium or Small RAW compressed.It is driving me insane that I cannot any RAW image.Please help !!!

Elements 2021 printing problem: When I print with my Epson R 2000 printer I'm only given the choice of 3 types of paper plain, glossy or matte nor are any of the other advanced features available. However, when I print with my XP-4100 Epson printer all the advanced features are available. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the R2000 printer as well as updating all drivers. I don't know if the problem is with my printer or with Elements.

I have "Program Files" but no Adobe Photoshop Element 2019 listed. I am on a Dell that has a solid state drive as well as the normal kind, which has been a disatre.....beware! From what the Dell techs tell me is that the programs are on the solid state drive as it is faster, and the data is on the regular type drive. In any case, my C drive is the solid state drive, the D drive the regular hard drive, so I searched for Program files on C. The programs file is there, just not Adobe. As you can see from the attachment, it goes from AMD to something called Bonjour to Carbonite.

My old version of Photoshop Elements wouldn't work on my new computer, so I currently have the trial for PSE 21 downloaded on my computer, which I will be buying. However, I'm not looking at Premiere Elements with the video editing (something I've never tried). My question is if I download the trial of Premiere Elements 21 will it overwrite the PS Elements 21 I have on my computer? I already spent a ton of time installing fonts, syles, etc and don't want to have to redo everything so I was hoping the video editing program could be downloaded seperately. Thanks!

I'm trying to remove items using Object Removal in the Guided section od PS Elements 2021 but whatever method I try, Brush, Lasso etc, it overlays another area of the picture ionto the area I want to remove. How doi I overcome this?

I recently had to upgrade to PSE 21 because the old version I owned couldn't be put on my new computer. When I drag objects from the photo tray onto the screen, it drops them into a RANDOM layer rather than ABOVE the SELECTED LAYER like my old version used to. This is maddening and time-consuming as my projects have a lot of layers. Is there a way to fix it so that the objects drop directly above the selected layer? Thanks!

Organizer 2019 seems to behave so that it recognizes faces in photos up until some point. After that it seems to be unable to combine even almost identical stacks of persons and new faces. The analyzing process has completed in a sense that there is no progress percentage at the bottom and process is not consuming cpu. If I assign a name to even one photo, it starts running again with high load. Yet after that all the new stacks seem to be one image at a time from folders not earlier indexed by face recognition. This all sounds like a bug, what do you think? 

How do I print a photo showing more grid lines than the standard 'rule of thirds.'Thanks

I use Adobe Photoshop elements as my main Photo/Graphics program.  I do not use the Adobe Cloud as I have MS Cloud 1Tb plus Google cloud.   If I try to un-install Adobe Creative Cloud it says it can't be un-installed as it is still reguired by a program that is running!  This morning Creative Cloud on start up was chewing up CPU time.  As I don't use surely I should be able to un-install it and run Adobe Photoshop Elements as a stand alone program. 

I cleaned up this photo a few years ago as best I could. I'd like to use it in a collage. I just got the latest version of PSE. Is there a guided edit (or some other way) to clean up and smooth the edges of this lady so I don't have to cut them out by hand after printing? I sort of remember an easy way to extract someone from a background using the magic wand or an eraser tool. thanks!

I am unable to convert my file to CMYK via the Image > Mode function. Could someone please advise how or why this is happening and if I need to make any adjustments to my settings. Thanks 

For the last time... I have SO had it up to hear [picture me with my hand up above my head] with mask layers. I can understand everything about layers, but to make a mask layer??? It is simply WAY beyond anything I have ever experienced, in that it is the most unstable, unusable, and most illogical process I have ever seen in post processing. For those folks who can make masks work for you, then may the gods bless you and keep you busy with that. I only see it as a product of an insane software developer who whole intention was to create the equivalent of a 120 word crossword with one word clues written in Latin.I just cant see myself every understanding a process that brings me to the very edge of understanding more times than I can remember, only to suddenly have me plunge back into ZERO function.

Can anyone tell me how I convert an IMG or any other type of photo to a jpg?  Thank you. 

Hello,who knows wheter it is possible to import RAW Files from Sony Alpha 7C direct into Photoshop Elements 2021?So i don't want use any kind of converter, i want import the RAW direct into the Photoshop Elements 2021.Is this possible?

I'd be immensely grateful for assistance. I am in the process of uploading a book I have written into Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing. I have prepared the front/back/spine cover as a single image - I use Elements 12. Following the directions from KDP, I have tried to input the sizing to 11.557 wide x8.750 high (inches). At first, I could not get the sizes to match up, but finally managed this when I unticked the Constrain Proportions box. Yet every time I upload it on to the KDP site, it appears as though the image is being dropped down from the top, and only the bottom third is showing. I have asked KDP about this, but they say they cannot help with Photoshop sizing and that I need IT help!If there is anyone out there who can resolve this issue, I would be so very grateful since I am despairing!With kind regardsFiona Fraser-Thomson

I've done a few checks on the net and it looks like the history brush I'm used to using in PS CS6 is not a tool that PS Elements has, feel free to correct me if it's hidden away somewhere and I've missed it? My problem is that when I use the sky replacement in PS Elements it also re colours some other parts of the picture other than the sky, usually any white parts. My question to people is if there is no history brush tool in Elements how do you easily put the sections of the picture i.e. the parts under the sky that were recoloured back to their original state? An exsample was that there was a white van quite a bit lower than the horizon that went from white to blue when I replaced the sky, with a history brush that would have been a 2 second fix to put it back to it's original colour , no idea how to easily fix it in Elements.

When I import files from my camera in Elements duplicate files are created.   In searching for the files on my camera using Windows explorer I can see that there are 90 photos.   But Elements downloader finds twice as many photos 180.  Before I start downloading I can see the duplicate files in elements downloader next to each other - exactly the same file name date and time - no extension.   See the screen shot in the attached file.   When the files are imported a duplicate file is created with a -1 after the file number.  Why is this happening?ThanksDennis      

How do I get Adobe Photoshop Organizer to give me usable results in a "Duplicate Image" search?Why? Because the image attached tells the story. The search results are nearly useless. 

I'm using Photoshop Elements 9 (yes, still!). I'm installing from an original disc, but, when using the program, and pressing F1 or going to the Help Menu, I get: "The Adobe Help application could not load a URL because the specified file could not be found. You may need to re-install the application and the Help component." Is this because the Help function is looking for a URL no longer in existence due to the age of my product? If so, understood! By any chance, though, is there any workaround? A path to the old URL, maybe? If not, suggestions?

I have folders in Elements organizer 2020 some of which I can right click and perform the actions others are "grayed  out" and cannot be changed at all.  How can I fix this problem?

Hi,  when importing fotos from my Samsung Galaxy S10 into my Elements 14 Organizer, using function import from camera or card reader, I can easily chose my S10 as source. But then Elements shows me lot more pictures than existing in the foto-Galery (Deutsch: Galerie). Elemets also shows pictures from some app-caches like unityappcache (as coming with wetter.com) or other icons from some cache or other. This slows down definitely.How can I get elements to show fotos from 'galrey' or 'camera' only? Thanks, Detlef

One of my albums contains 36 files. Most of them are version sets. I apply the command Flatten Version Set (including deletion of files from disk) to all of them simultaneously. PSE starts working on it and keeps doing so for more than 20 min (!). The progress windows shows that it is stuck (?) at 79%. I then click a few times on the progress popup, resulting in a very short show of the option to wait or to close the program.
