Premiere (Beta)

Have been using Text-based editing successfully until yesterday. Normally using Delete (Ripple) would remove both the selected text, video selected and ripple the delete to pull clips together. It does select the video portion, so I'm using Extract to remove and ripple the deleted section. But, then have to go back to the Transcript and manually delete the text.Really like this feature and hope it will be in the regular version soon! Thanks
Posting in here because I've read the devs pay more attention to the beta forums than the main release. Please bring back mouse wheel jogging when hovering over the program/source monitors, I really can't stand the new mouse behaviour and having to hover over the small timecode area to jog is incredibly annoying. Might not seem like a big deal on paper but in practice, having to intentionally seek out a small spot on screen to scub the timeline when you used to be able to just flick the mouse between the monitors instantaneously is incredibly frustating. The best solution would be to have a button/keyboard shortcut that simply switches between jogging/continous zoom functionality. Allowing the option to adjust mouse input preferences the same as keyboard shortcuts would be another solution, but I feel like a toggle between one functionality or the other would be better. Don't cripple people who've relied on one way of using your software for years by catering to a new group.&
Alt + scroll in the timeline does not focus on the mouse pointer anymore. Is this by design or a bug? @jstrawn
Starting with the June, 2024 (24.5) release of Premiere Pro, Adobe will no longer support a native plugin for Tangent Control Surfaces. Tangent maintains its own Premiere Pro Plugin (“Tangent Extended”), which is installed by default when installing Tangent Hub software. The existing, built in Tangent Plug-in will be removed from Premiere Pro. If you are still using a Tangent device for color correction in Premiere Pro, download the newer Tangent Extended plug-in directly from the Tangent website here: https://www.tangentwave.co.uk/ If you already have the Tangent Extended software installed you will be directed to use the new Tangent Extended plug-in in Premiere Pro automatically.
Hey, loving the filler word detection in the Beta. This COULD solve a long running issue I have with my own content. If it were implemented as I outline below, this would be an App swapping feature. Its THAT important to me. If I saw resolve had this, I might actually jump ship. And I am a Prem Pro user of some 20+ years. I record self made videos (educational/tutorial), and as a result when recording myself speaking I get a LOT of ums and ahs, as I think about what I am saying. Its pretty much impossible NOT to do this, at least for me. For this feature to really shine, I need it to be taken to a higher level. Right now it detects most ums and ahs pretty well, but its not perfect. So I think auto expunging these from footage is not viable. Also, doing it manually still is painfully manual, though its a little faster. Instead, I would LOVE to see a mode whereThe timeline auto plays, and skips to each filler section, with a 1 second rollup, so you get some contextAn ed

1. Be useful, when attaching proxies, for the dialogue to move the focus to the proxy that has been 'found' (rather than having to scroll through what can be a long list)2. Be good to be able to *exclude* certain paths / filenames and *require* others - even when the proxies are correctly named and in the correct location relative to others sometimes it attaches the *original* file, from a different drive, rather than the proxy (that is named filename_Proxy). 3. Be good to have a notification / indication when proxy length != original clip length - have had some long proxies fail during creation - so they are 30 mins rather than 48 mins of underlying clip. 4. Be good to have an indication of duplicate proxy names that are available for linking (e.g. been using camera footage that is named YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.mov - so there are *occasional* original clips that have the same name).5. 'Preseve folder hierarchy' would also be useful in this (and many other) occassions. Although curre
Has anyone had any issues with playback to monitors changing? Sometimes Premiere will playback to the monitor I have set up for playback, and sometimes it won't. And in Preferences / Playback it always sees that monitor. My mac studio goes back and forth with me from work to home, and over the weekend it could do fullscreen output to a monitor, and this week it hasn't let me do that. I've done updates, restarted the program and the computer. I have Enable Mercury Transmit checked, and transmit is on in the program monitor. Thanks!
Many of you have told us that you have a colleague responsible for correcting AI transcripts, and that you want an easy way to share the transcript and get corrections from them. Premiere Pro (Beta) now allows you to send the transcript to your copyeditor to make sure that brand names, lingo, names and titles are properly spelled and capitalized. Watch the video below to see this workflow: Open up the Text Panel and make sure you are viewing the Source transcript In the Overflow menu select Export -> Export to text file Save the text file and send it to your copyeditor for corrections When you receive the corrected file, save it to your desktop In the Overflow menu select Import -> Import corrected transcript Now you can use your corrected Source transcript to create a transcribed sequence and generate captions Try it out and let us know how it goes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYmdN-nvQkQ
When i import some audio file to the timeline the same plays mono in only one channel and i have to copy to another track to play and sometimes it still mute even if i play in media source
Hello Premiere Pro Beta Support Team,I am experiencing a recurring issue with the color space conversion in Premiere Pro Beta, specifically when importing into my timeline images. Despite setting my project and sequence settings to use the default color space, the images undergo an unwanted color conversion once they are in the timeline, significantly affecting the visual quality and color accuracy of my outputs. Here are the details of my workflow:- Project Settings: sRGB IEC61966-2.1- Sequence Settings: Set to Rec. 709, with auto tone mapping enabled.- Source Clip Settings: Attempting to maintain sRGB for exported images, but the exported files shift away from the selected color profile. This issue has been persistent, and manual adjustments for each image are cumbersome and not always effective. It appears that the color management system may not be retaining the specified settings, leading to these inconsistencies.Could you please advise on any potential solutions or workarounds? Add
With AI-powered Enhance Speech now in Premiere Pro (beta), you can magically remove noise and improve the quality of dialogue with one click, so it sounds as if it were recorded in a professional studio! We need your feedback to optimize this feature further through adding a comment below and completing a short survey. Here’s how to use it: Open the Essential Sound panel and select a clip containing speech in your sequence. Click on “Dialogue." Then, just click the “Enhance” button. When processing is complete, you can adjust the amount of enhancement using the Mix Amount slider. This slider allows you to mix your raw audio with the enhanced audio, allowing natural background noise to come through. What kind of recordings work well with Enhance Speech? Audio that is recorded with a low-quality microphone (phones, online meetings, on-camera mics) tend to be improved with Enhance Speech. It does not always work well with: Extremely very poor-quality
I am finding that the user interface does not update if I have the window maximized. When I maximize the application window, the elements do not shift around like they normally would. I am uploading a picture for the purpose of demonstration. Note: I blurred the video to protect the identity of the subject. That is not a problem I had with Premiere.
Opened a project this morning (Premiere Beta) to find that all my clips were quite overexposed. This was a project I had been working on for several days with no issues. I thought for a second that my color space had been changed somehow but everything is set to Rec 709 and looks normal. I opened up another project and sure enough, I had the same issue. Every clip in both the timeline and source window was overexposed.Anybody else have this issue? I guess I'll just be using regular Premiere for a bit. Same project looks fine in the non-beta version.
When caption background fills are set to "per-line" mode, partially-transparent fills will overlap one another.
Seems like I can't do much stuff with clips in a search bin (e.g. relink, create proxies, change label etc)? I have to 'reveal original' and then modify the clip there.
When I updated to the latest build 28, my pictures on the timeline are dark. I did find a workaround, but that requires going to each picture and overriding media color space to srgb. My master color space is already rec 709. Again, this used to work before I updated to latest build.
Update: this change was released in v25.1 of Adobe's video applications. Beta versions of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder now include a major update to the technology that handles H.264 in MOV and MP4 containers. The goal of this update is to improve quality and make it easier for us to make changes quickly. Customers should also see performance improvements in three difference scenarios: On lower-end computers, customers should expect to see better performance of formats that are challenging to play back smoothly. For example, play back of 60 fps video from the Sony a7S III on a 8 GB MacBook Air M1 should be noticeably smoother. On higher-end computers, the update enables more tracks of video to be played back smoothly. On both computer types, export performance should be improved, particularly for complex projects. Support for HEVC / H.265 will be added in an upcoming beta. While this ch
Something is going seriously wrong with your Beta Premiere updates. All footage is colouring is incorrect. Exports hang on 99% Have had to uninstall. Constantly says audio is missing in the notifications. Super irritaing. Reconnected all audio and it still continues. Please resolve these issues. Im working on a high spec brand new machine with 64 gig Ram 1 TB Harddrive with allocated cache that has been deleted multilple times. Ongoing bug in your latest apps. Audition also hangs on 99%Auto Saves across all Adobe Apps are also doing the same thing.
I keep trying to open a project file (short film) but whenever I do after a couple of seconds it freezes my computer and causes it to crash or restart. As I'm typing this im noticing an update notification maybe it is that ?

Hi guys, I use the regular premiere, but I'd love to be able to work with the BETA, due a be tter perfomance etc... I don't do it because I don't want to have to change everything on SETTINGS, workspace, keyboard shortcuts, presets, and so on. Does anyone know how could I move absolutly every single setting I have in premiere, but on Premiere BETA? THANKS!!!!!!
Hey, I am just wondering if anybody has any information about how to join the closed beta or alpha for the Firefly video model in premiere pro? I am stoked!
