Premiere Elements

Recently, I downloaded the free version of Adobe Premiere Elements. I thought it might help with a problem I had with Photoshop Elements 8, but it didn't. Then I noticed that when I saved a slideshow in Elements 8 Organizer, that PSESS file no longer went where it used to go.I am running the programs on Windows 10, 64 bit. I wanted to find the file so I could back it up to a USB drive.  I tried to find the new PSESS file by typing the filename in Windows' "Type here to search" box at the lower left of the screen. But that did not work. Why is that? If I remember correctly, even when I went to the C drive and searched for the PSESS file by name, I could not find it. Eventually, I figured out where it was:  it's in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\My Catalog 1\Projects .  But why did not normal methods of searching for the file find it?  Just curious.

what is a perpetual license? is it a one time fee for a lifetime license? If yes then does Adobe support with updates and fixes? If no then isnt paying a yearly fee the same as a subscription? sorry for the simpleton question but I cannot get a straight answer. 

I purchased Premier Elements and all I can find is how to alter and make videos. I want to work with photos/art. Did I purchase the wrong thing? How to I navigate to a project that's NOT a video?  

Today I did want to edit some GoPro 7 MP4 files in my Adope Premier elements 14.1. Operating system is Windows 10 Home - with all recommended updates. When I try to import the MP4 media I do get hte error message "the importer recorded a generic error" Any fixes, work arounds, updates or other things that could make my Premier Elements 14.1 work with GoPro 7 again?ThanksLars W. 

I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 2018.  I'm attempting to create an ISO disc image.  I've tried creating it in the default location and a few custom locations.  However, when I select "Open folder" after burning - the folder does not contain an ISO disc image or any files at all.  A search of my computer reveals I have no files with the input name of the ISO disc image.  I'm using a Macbook Pro.  I can export the movie as an mp4 without issues.   Adobe spends a while encoding the DVD menu and Assets, then has a menu bar for burning the ISO disc image.  But this doesn't result in anything being saved.  When I try to re-export without restarting the program, it takes a couple seconds before telling me it's exported.  But again, there are no files in the export folder or on my computer at all with the name.  What is going wrong with creating ISO disc images? Is this still an option, or was it removed like burning direc

I am using Premier Elements 2020. I have several clips where the audio is not from the video clip. I have a Christmas morning video clip, but the audio is from the high school graduation clip. The two clips were downloaded months apart and placed on the time line at diffeent times. If I open the clips at any point before I place them on the timeline, the audio and video match. As soon as they reach the time line, the audios are reversed. This same problem has occurred on several previous videos, including videos created with an earlier version of Premier Elements on a different computer. Other Christmas clips and graduation clips in the same video do not have this problem.

Hi together I installed Permiere Elemts 2021 today on my laptop. When I import a clip it looks like the picture I added. When I import the same clip on my other computer with Premiere Elements 2015, everything is fine. I can use auto color, but then I have to render the hole video and it takes a lot of power an time.Can you help me?Pascal

I finished edditing my project, added music (using a mobile phone video screen recorder and leaving only the music to show in the time line), rendered the project and something happened as now the first two minutes of the project appear on poor quality. There is a green line on the time line just above the poor quality section. The rest of the time line has got an orange line and it plays in good quality. All video quality settings look to be on high. Tried multiple things but getting nowhere. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Can I open my Elements for Windows projects in Premiere Pro for either Windows or Mac?

I have recently purchased a new device, a mac device, and I am trying to activate my serial nnumber to use the program on a second device. My first device was a windows, I don't know if this is what is causing the issue. But either way, It tells me that I have an Invalid code. Customer support has told me that I already have the serial number activated on 2 devices, even though I only recently bought a second device. Also, when looking in my account, it tells me that I have no devices activated. I want some kind of resolution without having to delete and deactivate the one and only device that is working. 

I want to use effect mask (blur, pixelate, etc.) for selected time segments ( e.g. time 1-2 min and then 3-4 min) of the video clip. Not the whole. Found a crude way of doing it by cutting the video and applying effect mask to the cut portion only.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewGaHk-CiZs Is there way to use keyframing to achieve my objective? Thank you, A

I am NOT going to post any video here, since video & pictures total ~5 Gig, but I do have a summary version with a few pictures   Canon SX510 camera set to record 1280x720 30fps video (plenty of resolution to create a DVD to share with family)   I've just started (back home yesterday) by viewing the 'raw' video clips & pictures and renaming from the generic names assigned by the camera to make daily groups... and will now begin to write titles to introduce each port... Seattle, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, and sometimes individual video or pictures... I know that this topic has been already discussed a few times on this forum. Despite contacting Adobe support about it and trying many different drivers, hardware acceleration still doesn’t work on my computer which is very annoying. People from Adobe support promised to provide an update in order do solve that problem a few months ago but nothing has happened so far. There is definitely some issue here since APE says that Hardware Acceleration is unavailable suggesting lack of appropriate hardware and at the same time I can use GPU acceleration on that hardware (Intel 630). At this stage I’d like to know if this is widespread problem affection most users on Intel processor on Windows 10 (with recent updates) or only very small number of people are affected.  

I purchased Premier Elements 14 and have been using it for several years. I recently upgraded computers and uninstalled it on the original PC and installed it on my new PC. When starting Premier, I get a message saying "The serial number is already in use by the maximium allowed computers. You must deactivate another computer or provide another valid serial number to use the product again on this computer" I have used the "retry activation option" but still get the message. If I close the message window it prompts me "Are you sure you want to quit" There have been times when I selcet YES that the window closes and then Premier starts and runs as normal, but it not longer will open and run. I have completely uninstalled Premier from my previous computer, turned it off and have tried to reinstall it on my new computer, but still get this error message.I am not sure how to resolve this, any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

I am trying to carefully place as many as a dozen clips into the output at the same time.all are scaled and cropped, it is just hard to 'nudge' them into precise placement.time is not a problem, they are all aligned and cut perfectly.the problem is, with a dozen clips on the screen at the same time,moving them perfectly into position.helps says you can nudge them into position,but Ctr Alt with arrows does not seem to have any effect.sample attached.ideas?

I used my trusty Panasonic HC-V727 (HD) camcorder during a recent vacation and subsequently discovered that I must have inadvertently changed the audio setting from “2ch” (i.e. stereo) to 5.1 (since corrected).   I read that Premiere Elements (I have Version 2021 on a WIN10 PC) does not work well (true – on inserting a clip into a new project the audio trace is not shown) and given that I wish to also include clips from a second device (this with stereo audio) it seems I should convert the HC-V727 clips via Handbrake.   The files from the HC-V727 are of filetype “.m2ts” - see below for the data from MediaInfo. When I ran a file through Handbrake with the default settings the audio had been converted to stereo but the resulting file (type .m4v) was only a quarter of the size of the original. I fear a possible loss of video quality due to not using the best presets – also the mini graphic of the clip did not appear in the timeline of a test project – but the preview screen look

I just got a new laptop and i'm trying to install all my old software, including Adobe Premiere Elements 11. I know it's an older version, but so far I never had any problems with it. Photoshop Elements also runs with no issues. But Premiere won't launch. The splash screen comes up and after a few seconds it just closes again. Nothing happens.I looked online and I read I should adjust the "DebugDatabase.txt" file in the AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Elements\11.0 directory, but there is no such file to be found... (Also adding the file manually did not change anything.) My new machine is a Asus TUF Gaming A17 with an AMD Ryzen 9 processor, 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1660 Ti. I have DirectX 12 installed. I'd be very grateful for any ideas. Thank you

Having trouble with Premier Elements 10 when I almost finished a video of a recent holiday it crashed and reported I need a driver update. HD GRaphics. Any Suggestions ?CheersGraham

Hi, one year ago I bought the license for Premiere Elements 2020. Everything wroked and it was properly registered. Now I'm getting the message "you license is expiring on 31th August, please contact your administrator". What does it mean? Olen kuvannut piilokojulta karhuhaaskaa. Aiemmin automaatilla kuvatessa ja vanhempaa Premieriä käyttäessä taustakohina ei ole ollut noin kova. Mutta kun nyt olen aukaissut klipin ensi kertaa uudella PE 2021 ohjelmassa, taustakohina on kova. 

All prior .iso file burns to my computer have saved. The most recent attempts to burn the .iso file lists as successful on Premier Elements, but the saved file location does not show the .iso file. I have now perfromed this three times on the same project. The Encoding Media does take ~45 minutes which is normal, but the Burn time is very short which makes me suspicious there is something wrong. I have closed the program, perfromed a full comptuer re-sdtart and the problem exists. Suggestions?\

Is it possible to create Custom Preset with settings from ‘Adjustment’ category such us Gamma Correction, Color, Lighting etc.?
