Premiere Elements

I do custom laboratory imaging that often has a very oddball aspect ratio, e.g. 7:3.  When I bring the video into Premiere Elements, it automatically puts a  black 16:9 backgrouind in place that I can't get rid of.  Whenever I try to clip or crop, it changes the original video but leaves the background in place.  When I go to Export & Share and try Custom settings, I can customize the video resolution but the 16:9 background stays in place. Basically what I'm asking is how can I specificy custom resolution and/or aspect ratio??I'm using Premiere Elements 2018. 

I have the 2020 version, but this might apply to other versions as well. When I tried to write an ISO of a video project, Smart Screen blocked the writer. Can anyone tell me the name of the executable? I tried uninstalling Premiere and turned off Smart Screen to no avail, so I assume the executable is marked as blocked and exists outside of Premiere.

I just bought Premiere Elements 2025. It's unusable because it crashes when uploading a few pictures and vids into the media tray. I have a new desktop with Intel Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz, 64 gig of ram, Windows 11 Pro, NVIDIA Quadro T2000. Can anybody help?  

In Premier Elements 2025 the Project Assets do not show what clips are not being used in the movie? How can I identify what clips are not in the movie, so I can delete them?

I downloaded it yesterday and was initially very pleased with the new UI. But after importing media (I-Phone Format) and editing work I started rendering process, but receive an Error message. (see Screenshot). I deinstalled and reinstalled, but with the same error again. What could I do now?

Installed 2025 yesterday - so far very pleased with the new interface! I'm very new at Premiere Elements so I have a feeling the answer is going to be simple. Anyway, I tried putting a few pictures in the timeline and adding an mp3 file - but I got no sound.  The volume is at 95% on my computer so that's not the issue.  Then I tried importing an mp4 video file that has music in it - but I got no sound. Then I tried importing a sound clip that comes with the program. Again, it played no sound.  The mp3 file does make sound IF I run it in something like iTunes. The same is true of the mp4 video file - the sound is there if I run it in something Media Player. Is there some setting in Premiere Elements that defaults to being off?  I've watched a couple of youtube videos and nobody else seems to have this problem.  I just watched a tutorial where someone downloaded an audio clip that comes with the program and they were able to get both a preview and a playback.  Anyone got any suggestions?

I recently got the program and when I'm editing in timeline and I try to put one shot after another the clip doesn't "snap" on making it much harder to clips after each other and sync them to beats in the music.  Sorry for the poor discription but I really need help.

I want to export on a 30 minute 1080 video on macos and mac mini m4 and it takes almost  10 minutes . Handbrake takes for the same quality 2 minutes .On premiere elements 2025 export the CPU and GPU chill at 18% load ... This is not normal.

Preference is set to yyyy mm dd and ignore aready loaded  PE 2025

Is it possible to unsplit or join two adjacent clips to one clip lateron?

I have been using PE 10 for many years to create very satisfactory little videos on a now ancient Samsung laptop. Having just bought a new PC and was looking to buy PE direct from Adobe again. However, I don't much like the idea of the limited 3 year licence with PE2025, so am looking for a previous lifetime licence version such as PE 2024. I now understand that this is no longer directly available from Adobe, (thanks Ann).So recent previous editions of PE for purchase seem scarce online, except from 'Blitzhandel24' which is currently offering PE2024 for the ridiculously low price of £21.14. (below). They also claim to be 'official Adobe partner', (red arrows also below). Seems too good to be true! Has anyone experience of purchasing from Blitzhandel 24? Are they 'official Adobe partner' as claimed?All advice again welcome and much appreciated. For the price seems worth a punt anyway! 

Wat is de functie van de grijze knoppen (A) en knop B ? Ik kan er niets over vinden in de online help.(What is the function of the items at A and B). I can not find anything in the online help nor "With Instructions" in the application itself.    

I like to play only a part of a videoclip, placed on the timeline (Advanced mode).How can I manage that? And where can I find a picture of Premiere Elements in Advance mode with explanations (how and when to use)  of all buttons, icons markers etc. In the online manual I find mostly a description of something and not an arrow with text pointed to the button or icon which is concerned.

I am working on my seventh video and it won't render. On play back it stalled on the video image but continued with the audio. I was able to save, close and open with no losses, play back was fine, but it still won't render. All previous videos rendered with no problem. I am using the same equipment as previous videos which were all produced within the last month. MacOS 10.13.6, MacBook Pro 2012

I have been very pleased with PE 10 and have made lots of videos over many years. However a new computer means a new version of PE. I prefer to have a lifetime licence, and 2024 is the last one I believe. Adobe is offering the download of 2024, (below), but I can't find the cost in the UK anywhere on the Adobe site. All help much appreciated!   

What is the OverOption key on the keyboard?It is needed to avoid a unwanted split of a clip at another track when below it something is inserted. It popped up at 3:20 in Part 3 of a Basic Training of PRE 2024 of Steve Grisetti.(He pointed below his video the Community Forum at Muvipix.com but my Edge Browser say it is Not Safe to go to that site)

I have multiple tracks in a given video project. It often starts freezing as I progress with adding tracks. I only  need one audio track. Can I delete the audio from the other tracks, or is each audio track nondestructive? As it is, I mute the audio on all of the tracks but one, but perhaps they're still in there stressing my processor.

The driver PxHlpa64.sys is incompatible with windows 11 Memory Integrity. Any solutions out there?

Premiere Elements 2025 gives a message saying it will delete my title referencees due to motion or sequence, upon import from Premiere Elements 2020.  Also I'm unable to locate the identical title animations in 2025 that I used in the older versions.  Please assist!
