Premiere Elements

Whenever I narrate for my video it plays back with a wave sound. It also sounds like that about 2 seconds in while I am recording.  I have done narration before. It just quit working. How do I fix it?Thanks, Tamara

Since updating to 1809 Premier Elements video editor will not run. Any suggestions?

Hey there. Before I go on I must tell you that all my setting are set correctly to the footage going on the time line eg 1080p 29.97fps. I edit the video and everything looks great, have some sharpening, haze removal etc etc and I am very happy with the footage I see in the preview window. When it comes to rendering, I set it to 1080p, Hight quality, level 5.2, profile high, vbr 2 pass at 20/24mbps. the resulting render looks as though I haven't done any editing to the footage at all. it looks as if there isn't any sharpening at all and looks nothing like the video in the preview window. Anyone have any idea what is going on? I have tried all sorts of settings but nothing seems to improve the quality of the rendered video, it's doing my head in! Cheers in advance

Hi, using premire elements 19 on a Dell G7 with an 8th gen i7 processor and all of a sudden I am unable to render my clips in my timeline. I am editing 4k video, and when trying to preview my edit the clips lag and skip quite a bit. I have made some other edits with 4k and this was not an issue, and now when I hit the render button it acts like the play button and just starts playing my timeline from the beginning. Very strange. I have tried importing the files from different locations (local/flash drive/sd card) and regardless of where they come from the rendering issue persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Using Premiere Elements 2019, the playback function freezes.  It freezes in various spots, not tied to any one point in the timeline.  Sometimes in the middle of a clip, sometimes after playing multiple short clips.  It will not playback for more than a few seconds before freezing.  I am editing the same project that I have been working on for two weeks with no issues.  Nvidia graphics driver updated a few days ago.  I have disabled the graphics card to see if the problem persists and it does.  There must have been an update pushed out recently (last couple days) that is causing this issue.  I have made about 10 videos with Elements 2019 and have never had this problem- smooth playback from start to finish every time....until today.  Please advise.  Thanks for any help.Duane

Hi, I create videos for my YouTube channel in landscape mode. I would like to use those same videos to upload to IGTV. The requirement is that they have to be in portrait mode. I have searched and searched how to change the orientation from 16:9 to 9:16 but can't find it anywhere (and where I found the orientation, it wouldn't let me change it).  I have changed the video clip to be oriented sideways, but the doesn't resolve the issue that the format is still 16:9 and not 9:16.Does Premier Elements 2018 (v. 16) offer the ability to change the orientation? If so, how do I do that? Thanks!

In the Clip Monitor window, when you set an in and out point, can you preview it?   I know you can go to the in point and go to the out point, but I see no way to play your selection without inserting it into the timeline.  (you can do this with Premiere Pro I believe)And...If you only want to use the audio from a audio/video clip in the clip monitor window..... is there a way to just insert the audio into the timeline?  I think the only way is to insert video and audio into the timeline and then delete the video.Thanks

Yesterday I bought and installed Premiere Elements 2018. Today I started using it for editing video. When I use some effects, like Pan & Zoom, Premiere Elements freezes after clicking "done". The rainbow circle keeps one turning. Who knows the solution? Thank you for trying.Marin

I just finished making a slide show with photos, music, and transitions and it took me a long time as I timed my transitions manually to the music.Anyway, I went to burn a dvd and the photos are horrible.I think its my project settings, but they can not be changed after you start a project.SO, I can not seem to be able to copy this project and paste it into a new blank project with new settings.....................Can anyone help me?My project is about 6 minutes long with around 300 photos.I set it up as DSLR 1080p@29.97 which I thought would be fine since there is no video.I assume I must redo my settings to avchd@1080 p, etc.....All my photos are high rez but I pre cropped them to fit 1920 x 1080 and made them 72dpi so they would be small files.  That should not affect the rez of my final dvd right?  If i burn my slide show to dvd and play it on an HD tv, it should look perfect right?HELP please..................I spent so much time.Val

I try to bring up a previous project that I did in elements (earlier version I believe) and I keep getting the error "file appears to be damaged."  how can I fix?

I had put together some footage on Premiere Elements with no effects. Literally just one clip after another. The footage was running absolutely no problem whatsoever. I clicked render and after it had finished rendering the video was running a lot slower than the sound and is now massively out of sync. I started a new project and it did it again. It only happens after the footage has been rendered. However I decided to export it to see what would happen and once it was exported it runs perfectly fine. If anyone could help me  out that would be awesome as it's very difficult to edit with the video and sound not running together. Thanks (:

I can no longer get Premier Elements 15 video editor to run. I've tried reloading the program, but it always fails when it reaches the point to loading AEDX.AEX.I am running Windows 10 v1709 64 bit. It has previously functioned perfectly.I thought this might have been due to a Windows Update, but I have gone back to 1709 which has been stable for a long time. I see there are some posts about the same issue with Premier Pro 2019 so I wonder if this is an Adobe problem.Any ideas?

Why do some of my video clips change speed after render, but audio stays the correct speed? I can't find a fix for this. Please help...

I'm using Premiere Elements 15 and have not found a way to do something. So in an image editor, if you crop an image the result is a new image whose size is determined by the crop. Apparently PE doesn't work that way - if I start with, say, a 1920 x 1080 video and crop it, I still have a 1920 x 1080 video with the uncropped part of the frame blacked out.Is there a way to crop the video so as to actually change the format so for example if I crop to a small 192 x 108 area in the center of the frame then I will end up with a 192 x 108 format video? I've also attempted to change the project settings but the 1920 x 1080 numbers are not editable.Thank you.

Hello,I've just started using Premiere Elements 15 and when I put videos and pictures on my timeline, the preview isn't playing. I'm trying to click play but nothing is happening. I'm on Windows 10, could it be a compatibility problem?Thanks,Lucile

Hi,I am running Premiere Elements 12 (version 12.1 (20140225.12.620828)) with the latest updates, on 64 bit Windows 10.I have had the programming running for a few weeks and managed to edit and export a few simple videos using the basic timeline functions.  The File menu works, about half the edit menu is grayed out and all of the clip & text menus are grayed out.  I can see the options but cannot select any of them. I have been into Organizer and turned off all of the auto-analyzer options however this made no difference.What should I try next to gain access to all of the menu functions?

Adobe Premiere Elements 2019Windows 10 Home version 1809Problem as above. In related answers to this kind of problem the answer has been that the support has been moved to the OS and that it should work in Windows 10.IT DOES NOT !Microsoft states that there is no AC3 filter support for IA-64 !!!This is probably the reason. So now we are forced to use a video converter. AARGH !!

I have used other photo editing software and one of the effects was making a still photo/JPEG shake as a transition. Can't seem to do that in elements. Any suggestions?

I have a really large monitor, so no need for a second one.  However, I would like to use Premier Elements 2019 on half my monitor while watching Netflix or something on the other half.  I try to use the "maximize" button in the top right corner to remove the program from full screen, but it does nothing.  I try to use the cursor along the edges to drag it smaller.  That does nothing.  What am I missing?  Why can't I put the program on only half my screen?

Hi there!  There are loads of videos on how to add a title text etc. but I want to add a background colour to my subtitles / captions and I can't find anything on how to do this.  I'd like this to be a gradient / a bit transparent so you can see the video behind the colour.  Other programmes seem to offer this, but I'm struggling to see how to do this.  Please can someone help?!

I have a new computer HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-cn0xxx. It runs on Windows 10 and I keep it updated. While using Premiere Elemets 2018, I noticed that I did not give any sound. All the settings seemed to be ok and other app’s did produce sound. After a web search I decided to re-install Premiere Element 2018. When I use Premiere now, I cannot start viewing the film while in the editing mode. So I looked for updates from Windows and installed them, I re-installed Premiere again and I checked all the HP upodates. No improvement. After installing you latest update this morning I noticed a difference in memory usage. Situation now:-        I cannot view the film while in the editing mode (pressing “SPACE” does not work)-        Quiting Premiere does not work; when I want to stop the app, I have to do it in the Windows processes screen by ending the Adobe app.-        When I create a M
