I used to love this program but the last 2 versions (2018 and 2019) have major play back issues which is frustrating me to no end. The program will work perfectly for the first month or so then all of a sudden I can't get it to play back in the timeline which basically renders the program useless. I am running windows 10 and I have ample free space on my drives. All files I work with are stored in a folder on the desktop. I am updating past videos I made in earlier versions of Elements BUT it worked perfectly for the first 5 then ceases to work all of a sudden for no reason. Help me save my sanity please or I am going to have to forfeit a long loved program and spend even more money to buy something else.
Looking into a new computer...what kind of graphics/video card should I look for for the most efficient video editing?
After 10+ years creating home videos in Premiere Elements Windows I recently switched to Macbook version 14. Today I loaded a previous project onto my Macbook but got a incompatability error when I tried to open it. Adobe support says it's because the project was created on a previous version. Does anyone else have experience opening projetcts created on previous versions? Or switching from Windows to Mac?
I am editing a video on my Mac using Adobe Premier Elements 15 whenever I use Pan and Zoom and try and save the changes I get a loading icon (spinning coloured wheel) and have to force quit.I have tried many times and always have to force quit. Please help?

I'm trying to edit a .wmv file in Premiere Elements 13.1 on Windows 10. I've done all the software updates and for some reason the video is not showing up on the timeline, but I can hear the audio. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
I am running Premiere Elements 2019 (V17.0) on Windows 10 with 16GB ram and an NVIDIA 960M. I have loaded about 10 video files (4K 30FPS .MOV). I have edited the videos into about 40 clips. I have added minimal effects (brightness/contrast) to a dozen of the clips. There is no audio in the original files and no audio added. I have tried to export several times straight to 4K MP4-XAVC-S, 1080P MP4-H.264, and the YouTube plugin at 1080P High Quality setting. I have closed all other programs, sometimes including Explorer, and even set processor priority to high. No matter what I do, the program crashes before it ends. And normally, right at the end when there is just minutes or seconds left. I am able to use the M4V file left over but this is super frustrating since it hasn't worked since I bought the software. Any ideas?
I'm currently trying Premiere Elements 2019. Even for playback of imported videos, CPU is 100%. And it is no longer smooth as soon as filters are added. By contrast, GPU usage remain Under 5%.I'm using other Adobe products (photography) where my GC is recognised and used without an issue.Does Premiere Elements 2019 benefits from a GPU, at least during playback ?---Laptop with recent i7-8565U CPU, and a MX150 GPU (not great but fully capable of playing 4K perfectly smoothly)
Many users have analog material sitting around, and they would like to get it into digital form, so that it can be edited. As this material is below SD (Standard Definition) quality, I will address the methods for digitizing it, so that it can be best edited in a DV Project. The output can be a DVD-Video, or other format, depending on what one wishes. The process of getting this analog material into a digital form, is referred to as Capturing, and it is digitizing the analog material and writing it to a file, that can be edited. One will need some method of getting the analog signals into digital form, and for connecting the analog output from their analog playback device to the computer. Though the analog signal could come from all sorts of devices, I’ll use a VHS tape deck in this example.Since a VHS tape deck does not have an A-D (Analog to Digital) processor, and also does not have a a digital signal Out, one needs something in between it, and the computer. That “something” serves tw
I am using Premiere Elements 2018 and for the first time am having problems exporting. I am trying to export a video in 1080p and after it renders my 3 minute video to almost 100% it gives me an unknown error message. Does anyone have an idea what's causing it?
A .avi clip plays on clip monitor but I cannot insert on timeline - what to do?
In all the versions of Premier Elements there is on the time line a set of sliders or short vertical indicators. They are just above the tracks where i place my clips and just below the display controls in the area that shows the time in seconds and whole minutes. One is typically at the very start of the time line and the other usually winds up at or near the end of my clips/ What are they for and how would one use them in the project please? Thanks!
When importing, only one audio track is displayed. Video with two audio tracks. Two audio channels in the video. When importing, only one is displayed. How to import a second audio channel from video?
Hello, how can I drop one type of transition to several pics/Clips?GreetingsBernd
I was at a loud convention and the audio from my camera was super loud and screechy, how do I fix that?

Premiere Elements 2019 won't work. If I click on an action. I get the spinning wheel for 4 or 5 minutes until it stops and I can do another action, then I have to wait another few minutes to do another action... I have a fairly new Apple computer with lots of space on it. I got the Mac version of Elements but it doesn't seem to be compatible.
i am trying to put an image onto my video project but for some reason the program adds 2 black bars on the side of the image any advise on how to get rid of it?
Can you use Premier with pretty much any Tablet as long as you have enough space?? I know it was made for IPads but they are so pricey was thinking of getting another kind of tablet and can you adjust the noise in your photos?
I want to run a horizontal black bar near the bottom of the video frame in which a horizontally scrolling caption appears. The sequence should look like this:- plain video- horizontal bar appears across full width of screen, near bottom- text starts to scroll from right to left across the screen- when the last character of the text has disappeared off the screen, the black bar disappears
Hi. I just started using this program. I had a bunch of VHS home videos from when my child was small. I converted them and loaded them all into the media of the organizer. I trimmed down 2 of 34 videos using the editor. I saved the modified versions of the two videos to my desktop, where I can send them to people. I don't really want to save the original versions of the 2 that I am done with. I can't figure out how to delete these two videos out of the media portion of the organizer. I want to do some housekeeping. I wouldn't think that you'd want to have hundreds and thousands of these things piling up. I thought I could just click on that file and click on delete. That doesn't work. I can't get rid of it. Please help me.
Hi,I have purchased Premiere Elements 2019 but I have an issue with video playback during editing. Video is played and it's quite smooth, however quality is super bad (example is below). I have tried to change quality in the setting from Auto to Highest but it hasn't helped.Would dedicated graphic card help?Would you recommend any with good price/performance?Computer is based on i5 7500 processor, 16GB ram, SSD disks. GPU integrated only on chipset. Win10 Pro 64bits.Editing videos from GoPro 5, 2.7K 60fps. Rendering is not an issue, even if it could be faster, I don't mind as investment to new processor is not an option.
Wie kann ich Audioeffekte bei Dolby5.1 Ton anwenden?
Hi all. I am using a Gopro hero 7 and Elements to edit these videos. No issues so far but now that I am trying to 'add media' in 4k, it states - 'error message - this type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed. No issue with 2k.No issues watching, downloading, saving, moving, viewing thumbnails 4k/60fps on my computer.Thank you
