Premiere Elements

Like many other folks, I've now fallen to the issue where Premiere Elements won't open a project file. I get the message "unknown error opening file." I've seen a lot of other people with this issue. The autosaves also have the same issue. I've tried Adobe's online suggestions, but none of them work. I have successfully unzipped the file to get to the XML, but I don't know how to find where the error is in the XML. Has anyone figured out how to recover from this error? I hate the idea of starting over. Thanks!

Hello,I want to install premiere elements on my new PC. I removed it from my old PC but now the new PC says that max numbers of computers are using it. This is not the case, I just signed out and removed from my old PC. How can I fix this. Thanks,Morice

So I have 2 monitors and I want to resize premiere to the second one, the issue is when I do that it completely disapears off the screen and I can't seem to get it back on without restarting the program.II have tried to restore it but nothing happens. 

After installing Premiere Elements 2023, to replace 2019, I found out that the tool Alluminance Key has been removed. Such a shame! This powerful tool I use a lot to edit my videos piet koster

Hi all, I'm using Premiere Elements 2023 with a macbook air m1 and I have two problems.When I insert any file on the timeline and it is impossible to export it in mpeg2 if this exceeds 30/35 minutes in duration, the export fails and the message appears: "An internal error occurred. Check if there is enough space on the disk".I tried changing the settings without results, it doesn't export me in mpeg2 if the duration is over 30 seconds.2. The .Vob files coming from physical DVDs once inserted in the timeline lose the audio track, or rather, it is present but silent.Does anyone have any idea how to unravel this skein? I have a macbook mair M1 and thought I'd take it one step further as I find myself neutered in a few necessary steps for my job.Thank you all.

I use an ultrawide monitor, and I like recording clips from video games I play. But when I try exporting them from Premiere Elements, it has black bars on the top and bottom because the 21:9 source video is being cropped into a 16:9 video file. Is there any way to export in 21:9 so I don't have black bars?

Somehow I have trouble importing some videos. Videos from the day before with the same settings I can import, but for some other I get the message that I have to configure my system for HEVC or HEIF videos. I have already installed the HEVC codec (for a long time).  The videos are shot in 5.3K, 60 fps, with a Gopro 10.  Does someone know how to solve this?

Exportieren und Freigeben, egal ob ein Film von 20min oder 80min das Exportieren geht nicht. Sobald nur noch 5s geht dann bleibt er hängen. Wurde mit mehreren Filmen ausprobiert. PC ist ein i9 10900K und 64GB RAMWas soll da angepasst werden.

I'm setting up a Loupedeck for Premiere Elements and want to be able to use the controller for starting to record audio in narration.  I can open narration, but am not finding a hot key to push the record button.  Surely they have that mapped somewhere???

Hi - sorry if this question has already been answered but all the answers I see don't seem relevant to my situation.I have Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 (ancient, I know  😉  ) and want to make a video from a series of individual stills (jpegs).To be clear, I have a series of time lapse jpegs which I want to convert to video format (MP4 or similar).Is this possible using the products I have, or do I need to look elsewhere?TIANick.

  - function only allows canned themes.  I want to create a show with photos showing one after the other  without and changes to the presentation.  The captions do not show-up on the slides after being input.  Slide duration and sequence duration can not be changed. Old programs allowed me to manipulate thr slideshow presentation.  

Hello, I have Premiere elements problem with voice. I have edited VOB –files. When I add VOB-file to Premiere Elements the sound is not syncronised with video. When watching the video the audio comes little bit later than picture (video).When watching the original VOB files with VLC the sound and the video is okay.

M2T files will not show in a new project, while in my previous version 2019 they did show up?What is happening here?

Hello,Since you managed to help me with the previous problem with Premiere Elements 2022 (the graphics card upgrade), I'm back with another little problem I just noticed.Since I uninstalled and then reinstalled PE while I was looking for a solution to my first issue, the program is no longer able to show me all my usual fonts. It only sees these two:In all my other programs the problem does not occur.Have you ever encountered this problem?I have dozens of fonts installed, but only two appear....I am interested in any advice and wish you a good evening.Thanks by advance

Hello, Im new to elements. I use a Windows desktop. At my age my hands (controlling a mouse) and my eyes (looking at video screen) are not as good as they used to be. Is there a way of trimming video clips without having to use a mouse exclusively? I have a hard time trimming a clip as my hand gets a little shaky. Also, is there a way of enlarging the video screen so I can slide to a second computer screen I have hooked up. Thx for any suggestions.  

Hi! I have had this program for close to a year with no major issues. Prior to installing the update, the app would start to freeze and not import my videos. After installing the update, I now have issues with the timeline not playing anything back, not uploading imports to edit the clips, freezing, and crashing. I have restarted the app, restarted the computer, several times over the last week and nothing is helping. Any advice will be appreciated as I can not edit any of my videos to post on my vlog. Thank you!

Hello,I bought and installed Premiere Elements 2022, which I've been using without any problem for a few months.Since a few days, when I import a video from my camera, the same one I've been using for months, the preview of the video appears in green & fushia.So I can't edit it.On the same computer, I still have the version of PE 12, which works fine though, so I guess it's not a hardware or driver problemI can't figure out which setting was changed, and I can't reset the settings either.I even uninstalled and reinstalled PE 2022, but that didn't fix the problem.Can anyone help me?Thanks by advance

When I am using time remapping to speed up a clip in my timeline I select the clip, change the speed to "fast" or "very fast" or enter the desired # of seconds and hit render.  About half the time, it freezes up and completely stops working.  I have to cancel the time remap, hit save on the project and then have to use my PC's task manager to "end task" because i get then unending spinning wheel of death.  The other half of the time it works fine.  Any ideas?

I have an i5 laptop which coped well with eg Power Director editing and is performing OK now with PE 2023 ... my editing needs are basic.Product: i5 8250U Processor/8GB mem/SSDWhat is the best set up regards Graphics?Graphics: Intel UHD 620 and NVIDIA Mx150. I have the new Hero 11 GoPro and big problems with the videos in Premiere Elements 2020. The old Hero 8 ist fine.I recorded with 60 fps and 2,7k. The Video starts for 1 or 2 sec fine, than the lines you see in the pic below.But: Cyberlink Powercreater can manage this video, VLC can show it, but Premiere Elements not.What is the cause ? Anybody an idea ?Thanks in advance.My Desktop is a i7 with 32 GB and the Graphic Card is a 2060 with 6 GB

is there a way to display a default folder when opening Elements?  As opposed to opening the first folder on my list of folders?

Hi,Yesterday something very frustrating happened with Premiere Elements 2020.I started a new project and had been working on it for more than 4 hours.I clicked Save at least once every 15 minutes.There were no errors during the save.When I wanted to export the project to an MP4 file the progress bar didn't show anything.Therefor I stopped PE and restarted it.I reopened my project and discovered that it had the status from several hours ago.90% of the work was lost! That didn't improve my mood, to put it mildly.I don't know what happened. I've never seen that before.In the auto save folder there was nothing, no files at all for this project.I saved the project as a different name and in a different folder and had to redo the 90%.I also reopened the file with the problem and it still does not save any change.Any ideas how to prevent this in future projects, except for checking the date of  the project file after each save? kind regards,ReyerThe Netherlands.
