We're hoping to get some help from anyone who might have experienced a similar issue or has a potential solution. The Problem A number of our users have reported an error message popping up right after they close Adobe Reader. So far, we have identified 10 users affected, but one of them saw the issue resolve itself without any intervention. Our Observations User-Account Specific: This error seems to be tied to a specific Windows user account. Hi,When using the "Scan to Email" function of an HP MFP printer, and selecting the option of compressing the PDF file, the file opens in Adobe Reader DC, but displays improperly and gives the following error: There was an error while reading a stream.More information:- Adobe Reader DC opens the document, but displays improperly. It's missing a lot of stuff- This only happens when using the "Compress" option from the printer.- The file opens correctly with all other PDF viewers (Foxit Reader, Foxit Phantom, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Google Docs), so this is not an issue with the printer.- I tried many different versions of Adobe Reader, on many different systems, but they all give the same error and display issue.- This is affecting all of our organization's users and correspondents.Here's a sample PDF giving the error: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yV-OWDCYT-0R2ukZlJnERQPbGduHvKcRThis file isn't bad, but the error still comes up. Hi,I have a very strange problem. Our Software, ELCAD, can output drawings as PDF.When I draw a rectangle in yellow, RGB FF FF 00, it appears green, but ONLY in Acrobate reader.All other tools I tested (Irfanview, Thunderbird, Foxit, Firefox, Chrome and so on) display the PDF correctly.AS our customer inists on using Acrobate, I have to find a solution.In the umcompressed pdf (attached) I found the colour informationstream1 J1 j1.000 1.000 0.000 rg1.000 1.000 0.000 RGThis seems to be correct.If I change all appearances to0.000 1.000 0.000the rectangle has the same green colour in all tools including Acrobate.So only yellow is a problem, but why?Can anyone help me?Thanks in advance,BrChristian

Hi,What keyboard shortcut or keystrokes can I use to choose a folder in the Save As window in Reader? I can only seem to use a mouse which is annoying.The AI Chat Bot on the Adobe website said arrow keys can be used but they just move the document behind the window until I click on the pop up window. In that case, I might as well continue clicking straight on the most recent folder since 99.9% of the time I'm trying to save the document.Ideally, I'd like to be able to just save straight over the top of the existing file with one keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+S) but it seems like because I'm using the Sign feature on the the document first, both Save and Save As open the Save As window, which I then have to click on with the mouse before I can choose a folder with the keyboard.I've assumed the 'sign' feature is what's causing this, like the software doesn't allow you to save over the existing document without prompting if you've used it.

is there any way to get rid of this box.  It pops up every time I open up the Reader. I have tried to update the registry, I have also tried to un-check the "Show me messages when i launch Adobe Acrobat Reader" box, in the preferences. When I close the reader, the box seems to re-check itself. I am assuming that Adobe pushed an update, I have been using this program for months on this machine and this just started happening two days ago. This computer is set up with Windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Since July Acrobat Reader has been asking our end users to sign in to use the app. these guys just need to read PDF. for some  If they click cancel on the sign in prompt, it closes the application.  for others as soon as they open Acrobat Reader they get a prompt to "Verify your prompt Acrobat subscription" this then open a broswer and ask them to sign in. in this instance, they can close the prompt and carry on working.  but pops up everytime they open crobat Reader.  Has anyone seen this or know a fix?Thanks in advance. 

Hallo! Wir haben bei vielen Kollegen das gleiche Problem seit ca. 2 Wochen. Sobald eine PDF geöffnet wird und Adobe Acrobat Reader startet erscheint folgende Fehlermeldung:Diese Fehlermeldung erscheint gesamt 4 mal. Nachdem man 4 mal auf "OK" geklickt hat, ist sie weg und das PDF kann ganz normal angeschaut werden.  Folgendes haben wir bereits ausprobiert zur Fehlerbehebung:Aktuellste Version von Adobe Reader installiert -> ohne ErfolgMicrosoft Visual C++ geupdatet -> ohne Erfolgkomplett deinstalliert und neu installiert -> ohne ErfolgWindows Updates überprüft -> keine verfügbarAdobe Ordner im Registry Editor gelöscht -> ohne Erfolgversucht als Admin ein PDF zu öffnen -> auch dann erscheint die Fehlermeldungsfc /scannow ausgeführt -> ohne Erfolg Woran kann dieses Problem noch liegen? Wer hat einen weiteren Lösungsvorschlag?  Vielen Dank im Voraus!  

I'm trying to add a signature to my Adobe account in Adobe Reader DC. I have a PNG of my signature, but when I try to upload it, I can't because uploads are limited to PDF file types (?). There are no other options in the drop-down. This happens whether I go through Preferences or try to sign a document directly. Any guidance on how to upload the PNG of my signature?

Hi, I'm trying to install Acrobat Reader but get Error 150210. I used the Adobe acrobat/reader clenaer tool to clean up and then downloaded the installation file from the direct url and run as an admin. However, I still get the Error 150210. Please find attached. Thank you.

I have double checked and no updates are needed.I have 32GB oif RAM Win 11ProThe doc is 125 pages, but I have tried 60 page docs.I am paying monthly for this service to work and it does not. It may generate a summary in less than a minute, in an hour or not in 12 hours. 

When i try to create a new signature there is an option where i can upload an image file. But when i'll select a png or jps file, only pdf is allowed.  For me this looks like a bug in Acrobat Reader on OSX.

I applied the registry keys of settings which I preferred before opening PDF file and then reboot.Step 2. After reboot that I opened any PDF file which I chose.Result:"aDefaultRHPViewMode_L"=hex:00 replaced "aDefaultRHPViewMode_L"="Collapsed" when opened PDF file and then showed right side tools pane by default now. Q. Good morning, i am trying to pen a pdf (an invoice) using Adobe Acrobat Reader and i get the following:opening the file in a different computer usign Adobe Acrobat Reader i can open it correctly. Even when the file probably doesn´t have the correct fonts attached, does anybody know what needs to be done in the first computer/program to open the file correctly as font is Arial. Thanks in advance. The advanced search result shows for some files the name 'untitled'.  I could identify that this information is found in the Title filed of file description/metadata. I could change the information in the file and started the advanced search again. In search result the file name is again 'untitled'.  I assume that there is  a cache. Is this correct? How can I delete the cache? is there an automatic process that deletes the cache? How often?Is there an other reason why  search resullt don't show the correct title?Win 10, Acrobat Reader latest version 

So Adobe Acrobat has this fatal PDF error for years but found no way to fix it? Adobe Reader cannot open a PDF page that is longer than 200in in length. That's just bad. Adobe, please fix this basic error.

Hello,I enabled the setting on Adobe Reader > Edit > Preferences > Documents > Remember last view settings when reopening the file, but this feature doesn't work with some PDF files. I have uploaded an example file where page 1 is displayed every time I resume reading it.I checked for software updates, my Adobe Reader is up-to-date. I've had this issue with previous versions. I tried modifying the PDF file, saving it, but to no avail. Adobe Reader doesn't remember the last viewed page. I'm using Adobe Reader v.2025.001.20756 64bit on Windows 11 (latest version applied).Have you experienced a similar problem? Are you able to reproduce this problem on your end with the attached PDF file? Thank you.

After switching from tabs to cascade or tile viewing, how can I switch all open documents back to tabs?I know that I can drag them one by one, but when there are many open documents that can be quite tedious.TIA

Recently after a reinstallation of acrobat reader dc desktop application for windows 7, I am receiving an error message " There was an error opening the document. A file error has occurred" whenever I try to open any pdf file from the document cloud. However, these files are working fine when I access them through my android app. I tried updating the app to the latest version and signing out and signing in again. But the issue persists. How Can I Get the issue resolved? please help. Thanking you in advance. 🙂

So, I download the Adobe Reader extension for my Chromebook to open the FRO PDF. However, when I open the PDF it says I need Adobe Reader 8 or higher. I've check on the website to see if I have the correct program and it should open, but it says gives me the same issue. I also can't open the PDF on my Samsung phone either.What am I doing wrong? Error message: The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher. Hi,I have two clients who have been utilizing Adobe Acrobat for years and require their PDF proposals to be optimised and reduced in size, as they are font and image heavy. Despite updating Adobe as necessary in the last few months, their files haven't changed in size during either optimization or reduction. This is a growing concern as they will require the files to be reduced as necessary. Please assist. 

After much searching I finally figured out the installed Adobe Reader extensions for the browsers will not naviage to any PDF URL that has #page= or #[destination anchor]. It simply ignores the page number or anchor in the URL string. Once I removed the extension from my browser, so it used the default simple PDF reader embedded in the browser, all my links worked. This works in Chrome and Brave. It does NOT work in MS Edge as the Adobe Reader extension is embedded by default, so those URLs will not work in MS Edge. Thought I would share with everyone. Adobe needs to fix this issue in the Adobe Reader extension that users install in their browsers. 

hi, there is a PDF file somewhere on the internet. I have to fill it and send it to a company. you can see it here or in the attachement. Bestellformular_Medical_Access_Port-Bundle_Konnektortausch_13.03.2025.pdf at the bottom of page 3 there is a small area where you can add a digital signatur of your digital ID. i don't understand what this means. i have created a new digital ID, saved it as a file (PFX-file).  i have a question. if i have to send a digitally signed document to a recipient, do I have to add the PFX-file to the e-mail attachement? what's the system, how can i understand it?
