Hello everyone.Windows 11. When I open PDFs containing annotations by double-click on it, Acrobat Reader window opens for a short while and disappears. This happens when I have new interface enabled. No problem with new look disabled.What is wrong with the file?

I have an older personal computer running Windows 8.1 64-bit. The new Adobe Reader has always been slow despite 64-MB Memory and a 4 GHz Intel Core processor. Due to the nature of the software I'm dependent on (lots of legacy stuff), I am unable to upgrade to newer operating systems and hardware, hence I need the older Reader v10.1.16. HelloI hope you can help me. Some of my PDFs, when printed via Acrobat Reader, now print with a black background - see image below. It doesn't happen on all PDFs - but enough times for it to be frustrating. PDFs that are attached to an email, like an invoice, seem more likely to print in this way. I'm not sure when exactly this started - but possibly when I upgraded to OS Sonoma last month. I'm on a MacBook Pro, OS Sonoma 14.1.2. Attempts to fix this, include reinstalling Acrobat Reader. I also deleted then reinstalled the latest printer driver (Brother HL-L3270CDW). Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas how to fix this?

I have a PDF that has over a thousand pages worth of highlighted text. When I open up the comments section, I can see all of the highlighted comments but I cannot select all the comments at once - I can only select the highlighted comments page by page. I am currently running reader DC and I recall in earlier versions being able to select all the comments and deleting them all at once. Can I still do that in reader DC or do I have to go page by page selecting all the comments and deleting them? Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

I have a large .txt file that I would like to convert to .pdf.  I have tried to print the file and choose Adobe PDF but the output is just a mess.  I loose all the formatting and get blank pages every so often.  Does anyone know if is possible to convert .txt to .pdf and keep the formatting.  I would try a virtual printer application but I am not able to just install any application on my office computer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Le problème arrive après cette mise à jour car il me demande de "commencer l'essai gratuit" et, si je n'accepte pas, je ne peux plus lire le document ouvert et je suis obligé de fermer le logiciel.La seule solution que j'ai trouvé pour ne plus avoir ce problème, c'est de le réinstaller au moins une fois par semaine, ce qui est vraiment pénible.Je croyais que Reader était gratuit, alors pourquoi une période d'essai?Comment puis-je régler ce problème?Merci d'avance pour vos réponses.

When opening some PDF files stored on Onedrive, Adobe Reader (latest version) switches to the Print dialog. The PDF is not opened. If I print and save a new PDF at that point, the new PDF opens. How can this be fixed? 

Is it possible to create plugins in Adobe Acrobat Pro using Adobe JavaScript or plugins only support C++?

Hello! I have recently started using 3D PDF file viewing technology. I generate a 3D PDF file in SolidWorks. It contains not only a 3D model, but also highlighted dimensions, roughness, etc. But when I open a 3D PDF file, it starts loading all available views. At the same time, when it loads, all the records that were added separately from the 3D model start to disappear (the main inscription, which contains the mass, information about the developers and approvers, material; and the record about technical requirements also disappears). These records are added via SW links, and to the 3D PDF template itself via a table. Can anyone tell me what's going on? I really need your help!

I am using Adobe Reader and would like to print two copies of the same document on the same sheet. It doesn't seem to allow me to do that no matter what settings I put in the print dialog box or the printer driver. I have told it "2 up" and the paper size is 18 x 12, the document itself is 8.5 x 11 so there should be plenty of room. Can someone point me in the right direction?Thanks,  Mark

I have previously used Acrobat Reader DC and had previously uninstalled it.  I am now trying to reinstall, and am continually getting the message "newer version already installed".  I am using Windows 10 and am downloading via Chrome.  Javascript is enabled in Chrome. Activex scripts are enabled.  I have run the Acrobat Cleaner utility.  It seems everything that can be tried has been tried.  I would be grateful for any assistance on this issue.

In the past, when I have wanted to change the scale ratio in Acrobat Reader, I would select the measuring tool and then right-click on my document to get a menu from which I would select "change scale ratio."Starting this week, the "change scale ratio" option disappeared from the right-click menu. I have received a PDF file as an attachment to an email and can open and view and print it from within the email but when I save the file to my computer and then try to open the file I get an error message saying that CIDFont+F1 cannot be created or found.  The file opens but the text is just displayed as a series of dots. I have confirmed that I am using the most current version of Adobe Reader. Any advice on what the problem might be and how to resolve would be appreciated.

How do I get to the preferences when I cannot get Adobe Reader to open? I am running on a MAC. The problems started when Adobe updated to the new version where they constantly want me to buy the reader. I cannot buy it. I just want to read my documents, not modify them.

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2017 Release Version 2017.009.20044 on a Windows 7 computer.  Every day or every other day I notice that Acrobat starts to open all by itself usually while I'm entering data into an Excel spreadsheet or something.  This does not happen on start up but what appears to me to be at random times throughout the day.  And twice it tried to open with a window that asked if it was OK for Adobe to make changes to my computer.  This was strange as I was doing nothing with PDFs, Adobe, Acrobat, or any other thing that is even remotely connected to Adobe in any way.  Is there any way I can stop this from happening?

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro on windows 10. I open my PDF file and when I select the read out loud option it tells me "warning empty page". The page is not empty, I can see the text, what am I doing wrong? do I need to convert the file in any way? It seems to be looking at it as a picture because when I try to edit it picks up the entire text as one.

Dear community! After updating Acrobat Reader to 25.001.20623, certain embedded JPGs in PDF files are being displayed in a corrupt way, apparently with an invalid color profile - see screenshot attached. Is this a behaviour anyone else might have experienced? Looking forward to your responses! Best regardsTom 

We have Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure running virtual machines with Windows 10 Enterprise for Virtual Desktops. We have multiple users accessing each virtual machine.Some of our users require Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, and some require Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.It appears that once Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is installed, it removes Adobe Acrobat Reader DC from the virtual machine. Is there anyway to have both installed in parallel so that users are able to use either version based on their needs. If possible I'd prefer to not split my virtual machines into VM's with only Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and VM's with only Acrobat Pro DC.Thanks in adance.

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. When trying to pick on a chapter (link) ,  a Security Warning pops up that states "this document is trying to access: \\users\manoj.manjhi\desktop\TOC_Conklin\Untitled-1.pdf" If you trust this document, choose Allow. If you do not trust this document, choose Block. I chose Allow. The next pop up states: Acrobat Reader... The plug-in required by this "GoToR" action is not available. Information about the missing plug-in may be available on Adobe's Website.There is no mention to the actual plug-in name required. How do I get this problem fixed? I have a problem, several hours reading and testing with no luckI have multiple invoices files in pdf format.The original logo company is blue, when I open this pdf in any PC (tested with diferent pc), the result it's always the same:  when I open the file with ADOBE [Acrobat] READER the logo change to green color (wrong color)when I use adobe [Acrobat] reader, chrome, edge or other pdf viewers, I can see the file with the right color (blue)I tested this in a lot of windows pc (i dont have any mac arround at this moment) the adobe [Acrobat] reader version is always the lastest (automátic updated)thanks!       [ "Acrobat" added by moderator. Right clicking or left clicking on any menu bars brings up no drop down menus.  I see page up and page down buttons but no "back to previously viewed page".  I found that Alt+< works for a keyboard command but that is seriously cumbersome.  Who wants to keep a keyboard in their lap and then have to use one hand to press Alt and the other hand to press the left arrow key evertime you want to go back to the previously viewed page instead of just one click with one hand already on the mouse. I looked for options in preferences and see nothing.  No view options, no menu options.

Hello. My system:Windows Server 2012R2.Virtual machine on vmware esxi. I decided to understand this problem, reinstallation does not help.
