Can anyone help me find a specific effect I'm looking for? I was trying new stuff from the effects panel on a shot for an animated music video, and found this really nice effect (see picture below, first with and second without effect - it's applied to the orange solid colors of the animals). When I clicked away I couldn't find it anymore and the name is not in effect controls as it's composed of three effects, so it doesn't use its own name there. Does anyone recognise the effect? hi ı making land videos from after effect. when ı start ae ı add mocha and ı am drawing with tool after ı make track but  after ı have a problem. Mytimeline red and stopped track. what ı will do ?

Hi,I am facing this problem where AE doesnt start due to CEP error. I've given Read & Write access to all users in Adobe folders in preferences and documents but still no luck. Even tried reinstalling multiple times and also different versions but getting same error. Hi everyone,I’m getting bright speckled dots around the edges of a masked phone screen, but only after exporting. Inside After Effects it looks clean, but when I render it out, random white/green dots appear around the edges.This happens even without using Mocha.. just a basic mask or tracked insert.Has anyone seen this before or knows what causes it?

In a linked in learning course, there was this example expression...  It wasn't really explained well... the syntax for the b variable of the array index ([1]) on the wiggle function perhaps just shows my lack of javascript (?) familiarity.. but can someone explain how this index on the scale property is being 'used' by the wiggle function? 2025-12-03_05-12-15.png Perhaps asking a slightly different way... why does removing the array index ([1]) from the wiggle function cause an error on the FIRST line of code? DoYouLikeHam_0-1764760576264.pngwhile omitting that b= assignment statement altogether resolves the error?  It seems counter intuitive for modification in the second line like above to cause an error to the first line, and I'd like to understand what is going on so if/when I encounter other errors, I have a better understanding of how the system as a whole is functioning.DoYouLikeHam_1-1764760690210.png 

I imported my illustrator file like always, composition-retain layer size and all that jazz, but for some reason my illustrator layers have this weird space around them and are behaving like images. I can change things in the illustrator file and it will update in after effects. I can't convert the logo into a shape. I don't know how to fix it. Both apps are up to date and I've tried restarting them both.  

I'm getting this error in After Effects and I have no idea what else to try. I've already tried recovering it in every possible way and nothing worked. My PC froze and I had to restart it, but the project was still open, and when I booted back up this error popped up. I can’t afford to lose this project — I’ve put five days of work into it.

Hi Community,Is it possible to isolate a person rapping on stage? The reason for this task because the footage wasnt shot well and needing to isolate the person to keep her on a transparent background with her rapping audio. Any good turtorials I can follow? The edit is on Premiere although I figured for the task is best done on after effects. Many Thanks

ive been given a brief recently which has given me quite a bit of grief in the past. it seems easy on the surface, but have always found it very time consuming, I think I’ve been going about it in the wrong way all along. So one of my clients is a race car brand, and they often give me long shots where the cam is following a car, and I need to put trails behind it, which are left on the ground behind it and stay there afterwards for the duration of the shot.So I’ve been doing it with paths, going towards the end of the clip, and seeing where the dirt trails are that the car has left, putting the paths with the pen tool, then manually keyframing those points every 10 frames to make sure things stay stuck to the ground ( I do this by looking at identifiable pieces of the ground and making sure points are close to them at all times).I know this sounds insane, and it kinda is, but I had to resort to doing this because 3D camera tracking these shots just isn’t working for me. Recently with the AI masking bug needing all premeire pro files to be downgraded I've come to a big error.So I can't open my origional premeire pro file, I look up the issue, find the downgrading software and downgrade the PP file, boom, the PP file now works good and well.The problem now is when I open up the After effects file that had dynamic links connected to that inital premiere pro file. Since AE is trying to link the dynamic links in the bugged version of PP and is finding that the file can't be opened, it ends up either crashing or stuck on 100% of opening project.This is a big problem for me as it'll mean that all my work in After effects will have to be done again and since I'm using it for work, it'll set me back massively.Hopefully there's a solution.

After Effects seems to have issues playing back audio anytime my PC sleeps, lock screen or I minimise the app for a second. I have to go into settings and manually toggle the Audio Hardware on and off to get it back. I've tried everything in Windows settings. This seems like a bug in AE.

I have tried importing this psd in as many different ways as possible because I know some times there are bugs but no matter what I do I can't get the handles to appear for any of the tools. I have created new after effects files, renamed the psd, tried going back and forth between different import settings to try and trick it back but it isn't working. Only the small gray bounding boxes appear - no ability to move or rotate or change the anchor. Other files work fine. I have removed all layer styles and opacity from the psd file which shouldn't matter but that didn't help either.
