A client provided a video containing audio description tracks (also known as "described video") and I'm tasked to added a graphic overlay. I do this using After Effects.  However, I'm finding that the final render doesn't carry over the audio description tracks. Can someone explain the workflow of doing this? Should I be using Premiere to do this?

I have imported a CSV-file called "Firms" into AE.Inside the file I have 100 firm names.I want to to create a text layer that use these 100 firm names and use a Slider Control to present all the firm names with different speeds.How can I do this? (I don't know scripting)

The CC Composite samples over only the first frame of the footage - true / false?EXPECTATION: I expected CC Composite to layer the original over my filtered layer - that's at least what all tutorial makers show, as there is no description in AE Help, which specifically forwards to Cycore, who tell even less.REALITY: As soon as I applied CC Composite to Time Remapped precomp, where time value is other than 00:00:00:00, I get what's seen in the screenshot; Overlay mode used.Apparently, it is time-remapping-unrelated thing, which is also independent from Preserve Frame Rate/Resolution When Nested switches. Tried to enable/disable those with no change in behavior. What would be the workaround? I need to composite time-synced and filtered footage over itself within the bounds of same layer. AE 24.2.1. | Win11Pro

I am receiving the following error when creating a mogrt in AE 24.2.1.Does anyone know how to fix this? I have created mogrt content and never had this issue. BTW all creative cloud apps are updated, so there is no compatability issue that should be related.

I want to know if it is possible to lock only a layer's position on the timeline (so it is still editable for all it's other attributes)I am working and keep accidentally selecting objects on the timeline and dragging them when I don't mean to. I am doing a lot of attribute animating and need to regularly switch between selections. It would be helpful to simply lock all layer's locations on the timeline so I can't accidentally move them.I am often selecting via the timeline rather than the left of the timeline cuz I can visually see the elements I am looking for better by where they start and end on the timeline. All help appreciated! 🙂

I am using expression in AfterEffects.I was using the time attribute, but the value changed when I precomposed it,let t = time - inPoint;to replace the time attribute.Is there any way to more easily get the time from the start of the layer?

Hello, I just bought the Adobe subscription and I cant open After Effects. It says that "We cant verify your subscription status". I am connected to wifi and I have put my billing address in. What should I need to do?

This is the real reason why I canceled my CC subscription but as soon as I come back...Maxon is installed again. This is crazy...   

My issue is that we need to make sure frame n-1 is finished rendering before we can render frame n because there are cases where frame n will need the data of frame n-1.Is it true that when rendering at frame n - 1, we will save the opaque_optionsP of frame n-1 and call AEGP_ComputeIfNeededAndCheckout after rendering to cache. Counting frame n will call AEGP_ComputeIfNeededAndCheckout with opaque_optionsP of frame 1 to check if rendering has finished. HelloI´m pretty sure my question has an easy answer.I have an image in my project that I want to apply Slant effect - to simulate trees dancing in the wind.Nothing new about that, but as I applied the effect the image crops.Does anybody know who to fix that?

How can time warp effects or time remapping be effectively applied to a Cinema 4D animation file imported into After Effects?

Img 1 are the details in AE and bodymovin was unable to export the stroke start length and width into json file, is there a way to do this or can I convert the whole stroke path into shape keyframes? Img 2 is the outcome of json file, as you can see they are not in water drop shape.   

The latest update seems to have drastically reduced the render speed on my system. A usual render of the type I'm doing take 1.5 to 2 hours, same render on new version taking roughly 5 hours. The AE file is pretty simple, mostly using Displacement although there is a fair amount of scripting holding it all together. On Windows 11, Intel i7-3700K 3.4GHz. 128GB RAM. Nvidia RGeForce TX 4080 GPU. Any ideas?

Hi!  As you read in the title, I have a problem when rendering from After Effects through Media Encoder on a Mac M1 (more specs down below). I have seena couple of threads about the topic with different answers, but none of them seem to work for me. First of all, when I press File > Export > Add to Media Encoder Queue..., it doesn't appear in the Media Encoder queue. In order to have my file in the queue, I need to add it to the AE native Render Queue and then press Queue in AME. By doing this, it does appear on the Media Encoder queue. Then, as soon as I press render, I get the ⚠️ icon and when I press on it to see the error, it says "Could not read from the source. Please, check if it has moved or been deleted". I'm attaching the Renderer I'm using as well.  I have the latest After Effects and Media Encoder (23.3). These are my Mac specs:Apple M1 Pro, MacOS Ventura 13.2.132GB RAM If anything else is needed, feel free to ask! Thank you

Hello, When I apply a mask to my object the color of it is changing although the opacity is 100%. The mask is turning grey or blue as per the photos attached. Do you have an idea how can I solve the issue?    

How would one go about using iterate_generic to draw multiple transform_world using multiple threads?xform_data is my struct of parameters. I am trying to deploy it as such: suites.Iterate8Suite1()->iterate_generic( numThreads, &xform_data, MT_Xform );   PF_Err MT_Xform(void* refcon, A_long threadInd, A_long iterNum, A_long iterTotal) { // Use transform-world in here data->p_suites->WorldTransformSuite1()->transform_world... }  But I am getting no speed increases at all. Any suggestions? Part of it is the lack of documentation, so any help is appreciated. 

so in after effects, when i am editing and i go to the effects and presets search bar and i search something up, nothing ever shows up. say i needed to add motion tile to my clip, i search it up in the effects and presets search bar, but it says no reasults found, and in order to add it i have to go into to effects, stylize, the motion title. it takes up alot of time this way, so how do i reset it so that i can just search up the effect in the search bar? thank you.

I recently installed ITC Garamond in my computer. The font did not have any issues being installed and was validated. The font shows up in Illustrator, but it is not found in After Effects or Premiere (the two programs I use most). Any help would be appreciated. Running Premiere 12.1 After Effects 15.1 (all other apps most recent update as well) and macOS High Sierra 10.13.5.

I noticed that my little icons next to source name and parent link have disappeared, any idea on how I get those back? I circled the area I'm talking about. This is totally driving me crazy!

Hello, first post on this sight Like a few other people I've seen, I'm having issues with opening after effects as it keeps saying that the Sapphire plugin does not exist. I've tried basically everything, reinstalling, deleting sapphire folders, and even the "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/" thing, but for me it does not show a plugins folder. Are there any updated solutions to this?

I had imported a mobile phone 3d model and all was working well.  Then, after displaying correctly for a few seconds, it suddenly appeared like this.  For a while it was rendering correctly, then startedflickering.  I started playing around with keyframes and rotation, and now it suddenly won't render correctly at all.  Any idea what's causing this? 

I am trying to use Roto Brush tool on a composition. Usually, after selecting the Roto Brush Tool (Alt+w), all you need to do is double click the layer you want to use the Roto Brush. But somehow after I double-click the layer, the Roto Brush Panel does not appear.  How to make the Roto Brush panel appear if double-clicking it is not working? I don't know if this info is useful or not, but I use Windows 10 and I kept hearing 'bling' sound after double clicking the layer for Roto Brush. If this is a bug after i update After Effects, do I have to uninstall the update?

I’ve tracked different surfaces and I can’t apply Corner Pin (Support Motion Blur) without the image becoming pixelated or disappearing. It works fine with Corner Pin and everything works and looks as it should.I’ve successfully used Corner Pin (Support Motion Blur) with some layers but not others - I can't find the reason why this should be the case.  Can't see what I’m doing wrong to prevent all my tracks/pre-comps having Corner Pin (Support Motion Blur) applied.Windows machine, using Mocha AE and latest After Affects 2023.  Resolution of video clip and comp is 2704 x 1520, resolutions of my pre-comps are the smae - content within them are just .png's and .jpg's.Thanks in advance for any help or guidance.
