I have an .OBJ 3D model. Whenever I add the sbpar mesh, it turns my image flat. No matter how I shape the light, the image is flat. Looks almost like a PNG. When i turn the sbpar mesh off, the 3D details comes back.

You can see the effect I'm looking for in the attached images. I want the image to smoothly transition from its original color to green and then back to its original color. Does anyone know how to achieve this in After Effects?" 

Hello, I am having issues with random black frames while using the sabre plugin. Please see the video attached below. The plugin works fine until about 5 seconds in then has a random black frame for a few seconds. Cheers, Fred

Hi. I'm working on a project with illustrator vector graphics in several nested compositions. At top composition I'm using a camera for zooming in to details of the graphics - however the vector graphics get blurry at anything above 100% scale.Unfortunately I can't use continued rasterizing in top level composition, because effects used in lower level compositions goes crazy. I'm using bend-it animation on several graphics in lower compositions and all graphics with the effect applied disappear when continued rasterizing is on at the top level. Anyone got a suggestion on how I can keep vector graphics sharp while zooming? Either with a workaround for the continued rasterizing NOT being used, or how to fix the bend-it effect items to still show up if continued rasterizing is turned on at top level ??! (using continued rasterizing for layers in same composition as the bend-it effects work fine of course)I'm guessing the bend-it start and stop coordinates get out of whack at top level whe

After effects will not launch, last thing on splash screen is mediacore, not even as admin in safe mode with no 3rd party plugins and reset preferences.Posted here because it seemed to start when using After Effects, but no Adobe video apps will load. I recently installed After Effects (that apparently also installed Maxon Cinema 4D). When I try to load Maxon Cinema 4D, I get the following error message, and I’m unable to open the app (all my other licensed Adobe products that come with my subscription work fine).  

I made this post a few days ago After this, I contacted Adobe Customer Support to speak with a live agent who could help me with this problem. He was given remote access to my computer and for an hour he was just doing the same things I already told him I tried. I decided to just completely erase the software from my computer and reinstall Creative Cloud and After Effects like it’s the first time using it and I’m still getting the same crash errors-- on different versions of AE too! I just tried chat support and the agent said they were going to check into my problem and then ended our conversation. I have no idea what to do from here.

I’m so frustrated that I had to work on an urgent task today, only to find out that I couldn’t open After Effects at all.It seemed like I had options, but after installing and uninstalling it several times, I still couldn’t get it to work.At first, I thought it might be because of C4D, but then I realized that wasn’t the issue. Is there a way to time-stretch a comp, but keep audio clip pitch and duration? I know that it's possible to "un-stretch" the audio to compensate, but I’m looking for an easier workflow.

Hey Adobe Community,I have some abstract compositions that I need to render in 4K. Most of them consist of some simple 3D shape layers (3 points, connected to 3D Nulls). These are pre-comped, and these pre-comps have colour and blur effects applied to them (Camera Lens Blur, Gaussian Blur, Colorama, CC Toner, these kinds of effects). They’re about a minute long.When trying to render these out (using mostly the H.264 - Match Render Settings - 15Mbps preset) the Memory seems to blow out of proportion, completely clogging up my machine. This also happens with the effects disabled.I’ve tried using my Mac’s internal SSD, and an external SSD as cache. The Maximum Disk Cache Size is set at 150GB. With the 64GB installed, 12GB is set as reserved for other applications. I’ve purged the caches, and restarted the Mac multiple times, but to no avail – it clogs up like this every single time, and I’m stuck not being able to render them. Is there anything I’m doing wrong here? Yesterday I was using After Effects with no problems. I don’t know what happened between then and now because I can’t open project files (I only can when I launch AE through an .aep) or save/apply animation presets through the ‘Animation’ tab. I keep getting this error when trying to save my after effects project.  I type command + F, choose my location on my HD, and save it as an .aep (the default setting) and this is the error i get - "After Effects Error: File couldn't be opened for writing: "(name of project).aep". (3 ;; 0)

I queue up a project with image 1 in the encoder render, then I go back to the project and change it to image 2 while the first video is still rendering. The encoder changes image 1 to image 2 halfway through the first video. The problem is that for the last two years I have been working the same way and nothing changed in the real-time render if I changed something in the project, but now it changes. This has never happened before. I asked couple of buddies and they said that it worked always like that :/

Does anyone know a Mac program that will convert older .mov files and preserve the alpha? I cannot import them into AE since they are no longer supported. I've downloaded a few free trials, and when I convert to ProRes 4444, I lose the alpha and gain a black background. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks,Denise

Hello! How can I create an expression for checkbox Control to "Fill" effect in a PNG logo? I would like that when the checkbox is marked, the logo takes on the solid color filling, and when disabled keep the original colors of the logo. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks!
