When I open Audition CC 2018 on my Windows 7 64-bit computer, there's no record button or other playback controls in the Editor of the Default view. How would I get these to appear? Thank you in advance.

Hi! I've been working in Audition for a few months now with no trouble but have had one particularly annoying issue recently (just a few days now). When I highlight and delete the entire waveform (in waveform editor) it deletes (per my history), but the waveform remains on the screen. I can delete sections successfully but not the entire waveform. One was I know it's technically deleted and just remaining on screen is that when I hit record at the end of the waveform, the deleted waveform disappears at that point.  I'm attaching a video to show this. Help! Hi there,  I am working on a sound track that will hopefully end up as being 8760hrs long. However, my track is currently at 1165hrs and is 3.9GB. The file is saved to my 5TB hard drive and I have set all of the media cache settings to use the drive as the defult working and storage space. The file is also saved in the lowest quality possible (as audibility does not matter), which is mp3. 8bit at 8000hz.  The problem I keep facing when trying to extend my my file to 8760hrs can be seen in the image attached. The error report contains code i cannot decipher. I appreciate this is a really large file but if anyone has any ideas to help they are greatly appreciated. The point of the track is that it is continuous so splitting it into a collection of smaller ones is not a option. Would I be better off using a different program such as Reaper? Huge thanks!

Have made several Premiere Pro 2-hr movies, the last 2 for YouTube. First time using Audition.  Original av clips are MTS, 6 channel 48 kHz 32 bit float. Media Encoded to MP4 stereo for keywording and for YouTube.  Need to clarify the interviewer and interviewee from the background chatter and clatter. Tried Effects .> Noise Reduction / Restoration > Capture Noise Print ... Noise Reduction. Got a little improvement, but want much more, even possibly background mute. Audition offers a miriad of effects. How do i choose the right path? Should i start with MTS 5.1 or with MP4 2 channel? Thanks!

Hi,I've had this problem for three weeks now and I don't have a clue how to solve it (my Google fu probably isn't strong enough). This is the situation:1. I open audition and press the record button. In the 'New Audio File' I click on 'OK' and the recording starts. But the audio is a flat line...there's no waveform, nothing. And of course, if I play the recorded sound there is no sound. But the recording does start without problems.2. If I enter the 'Audio Hardware...' in Preferences it says the Default Input is the 'Built-In Microphone' and 'Built-in Output' for the output. The Master-clock is at 'Built-in Output', I/O at 512 Samples and Sample Rate at 44100Hz.3. If I connect our 2i2 Scarlett USB with a condenser microphone, it's the same. So I first pick the 2i2 under the Default Input and the 'Built-in Output' under output. Still a flat line and no audio.4. If I open the new macOS app 'Voice Memos' and hit the record button, the program does record audio and I can play it back as no

So when I do my videos I load in my footage to Premiere, then I immediately choose the "Edit Clip In Audition" option for the audio.  Then I edit the Audio in Audition to my liking.  Currently when I'm done editing the audio, I have to Export it to a folder, then drag that new audio file into my Premiere Timeline and replace the extracted audio clip with the edited audio clip.  This often leads to minor mistakes in synchronizing, or just stupid errors on my part from human error.  My problem is, Why can't I just export the audio directly back to Adobe Audition?  If I send a clip from Premiere to After Effects and create a composition, the clip automatically appears in Premiere as the Composition.  Why in the world wouldn't that be the case with audio and Audition?  And more so, the option to "Export to Premiere Pro" has been greyed out for many months now.  When I very first started using the Adobe CC I was able to do this dance, then suddenly th

I'm a longtime Reason user and I'm excited that it is now available as a VST that can be used in "any" DAW. Has anyone here tried the integration of Reason and Audition? I'd love to learn from what you've discovered and smooth out my workflow so I can get to the nitty gritty pretty quickly. Thanks in advance!

hi, my computers storage was full and I deleted the Adobe Audition.After that I get this notification every time I try to alt+tab. It's really frustrating, can anyone help?

I have a huge problem I can't seem to solve. I have an audio multitrack project with maybe 8 hours of content on 24 tracks.  It's about a 8 day edit so far. I was almost finished with the edit when I was doing some sweetening at the beginning of the program.  I added a reverb to a clip and suddenly the screen began to flash and lock up, strobing as the reverb interface flashed. I thought the program was crashing and quickly hit save. BIG mistake.  What had happened was I had used a select to end of session before this reverb and without realizing it 1000's of clips were selected when I added the reverb to the one clip I wanted so ALL clips suddenly were being given the reverb clip effect.  On no.  Ok no worries right?  I looked at the saved session. It was saved WITH this error. No worries, I looked in the auto save. For some reason the last one without this error was about 24 hours before.  When I saved in panic, it replaced the last autosave with th

I use a lot of custom crossfades between audio clips in Premiere. Often I align the crossfade to Start at Cut, End at Cut, or Custom Start. I use these alignments more than Center at Cut. I just tried migrating a Premiere sequence to Audition for the first time and I noticed that a lot of my dialogue edits sounded bad, definitely different than in Premiere. Then I realized that none of my custom crossfades migrated correctly. The Start at Cut and End at Cut crossfades were all turned into Fade In's and Fade Out's. Is this normal? If I want to mix my Premiere sequences in Audition, do I need to stop using these audio transitions? I can't use only Center at Cut crossfades because their duration has to be at least 2 frames, and for dialogue editing I need to be able to do 1-frame crossfades (hence the Start at Cut and End at Cut positions).

Hi guys,What am I doing wrong?I finished mixing my session and want to export it out as an mp3 but as you can see in the image attached, all of the export options are greyed out.If I highlight the actual WAVs in the multi-track session then I have one option available which is the last one - 'Selected Clips' but then when I click ok to export the file never is created and it doesnt say error or anything. I select export selected files and nothing exports and nothing happens at all.

Hi! I am trying to export podcasts as MP3 files to utilize smaller file sizes for longer content. I go to export my multitrack session File>Export>Multitrack Mixdown>Entire Session and when I select MP3 format I cannot select "OK" to export - there is a message saying "the currently selected filter cannot save all files in the needed format." I am only able to export the file as a WAV which can be too big for posting. I am at a loss - any recommendations to what setting I should be changing or adjusting? Thank you!! 

A .wav file I exported from Audition on a Mac is acting strangely on playback in AfterEffects. The sound doesn't actually play until about .3 seconds into the clip. This occurs on Mac only. On a PC the file plays fine. When viewed in Audition on both platforms the file waveform is identical. The file plays fine in AfterEffects on a PC. But in AfterEffects on my Mac, the beginning is truncated. On my Mac, the file plays correctly in Quicktime Player, VLC, and Apple Music. It only misbehaves in AfterEffects.

I am using Audition to do audiobooks, which require 44100hz sample rate. However, some of my files are  playing back deeper and have to change the sample rate to 48000 to sound normal.Unfortunately, Audible will NOT accept 48000, only 44.100Advice???

I somehow deleted the Multitrack and Waveform buttons in the top left corner. I have tried about 20 different "missing buttons" search terms on Google and cannot find a way to restore them. Please advise how I can get them back, thanks in advance! 

In adobe audition when we copy the files and paste it in a new file and if we export it it is reducing the voloume of the file why?

Hello.I have a fairly modern PC (Win 10x64, Intel Core i7-14700K, MSI Pro Z790-A Max, 32444 MB (DDR5 SDRAM), Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1TB). Audition, and all related files, are located on the SSD. The system is configured for maximum performance (no power saving).Audition 24.0.0.46The file processing time using four VST3 plugins seems long to me.For example, a 35.8MB FLAC трек, 44100Hz-16bit, is processed in one minute.FLAC 118MB 96000Hz-24bit is processed in 2 minutes 35 seconds. That's a long time.Audition can't process one track, in multiple threads, using multiple cores?How can I reduce track processing time?

How to Get the Input Volume of the Mic Recording in Adobe Audition?

Hi,I am making a video for a friend's memorial serivce. It was recorded in a large meeting hall with a high ceiling, using an iPhone that was not placed all that close to the monitors. I know that produces less than optimal audio. I would have done it differently, but it was not my call. The end result is that I have to try to clean up the audio. The sound is muffled, low, with a lot of echo. I was able to make some of the files at least passable, and added subtitles to help with understanding the words, but there is one file (attached) that I cannot clean up well enough. The speaker is a young woman with a lot of high-mid in her voice I am sending the source file, but I have tried Parametric EQ (w/High and Low Pass Filters), Dynamics Processing, Noise Reduction (with selected Noise Print), DeVerb, and playing around with the Spectral Frequency Display. These techniques provide some improvement, but it is still not clear enough. Is there something I can do to help m

Audition crashed and the .sesx file I was working on is now corrupted.  When I try and open it, or any of the automatically created backup files, I continually got the following error: Warning: 101 of the 101 clips have no file asset: 722550__memeshift__276-gongageng-gongmallet-centerhardest, 722550__memeshift__276-gongageng-gongmallet-centerhardest, 722568__memeshift__294-kempulensemble-pelog-kempulmallet-1h-center, 670414__iainmccurdy__kempul-6 48000 1, [... it goes on...] About 60% of the session is ok, but many of the files in the middle are completely missing and unfortunately, the option to "link media" is grayed out, so I can't manually relink the files.  When I open the file in a text editor, I can see that the paths to the missing files are all correct.  I checked that no permissions have changed and I'm still able to drag the files back into the session without a problem, but there seems to be no way to recover the mix.   The error window

I have a Shure MV7X microphone => Cloud Lifter => Port 2 front panel Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd gen. All I want to do is record a mono .wav file from this microphone. (Then do a little basic post in Adobe Audition, then import that into Digital Performer.) I'm spinning my wheels. I've tried: * Audio Hardware = MME, Default input = Microphone (2 Microphone). This works except that the signal levels are mediocre at best. * Audio Hardware = Focusrite USB ASIO. So then I choose Preferences | Audio Channel Mapping, and File Channles 2 => Input 2.  If I do FIle | New | Audio file, my options are File Name, Sample Rate, Channels (I pick 'mono'), BIt depth, but nothing about selecting a particular input port. If I do File | New | MultiTrack Session, I can crank up the input gain (but Focusrite Control shows PLENTY of input signal) and get it to work. I haven't done it yet, but presumably I'd export this one track (of 8!) to a proper mono .wav file?
