Can Audition have support for VSTs like Native Instruments

Dear All,I am a new user of Adobe Audition.I have many audio files of ripped CD's that are one large file.I mean not separated in tracks.So I want to edit these files to create tracks of each song.Instead of marking the gaps between songs I would prefer if Audition automatically create the marks between gaps and create tracks for the audio file.Can anyone please help me how to do this? Thank you very much!

I am juest beginning to work in Au, so I have a lot of naive questions, like; where do I find the Au Prefernces option; it's not in the Edit drop-down? I wasnt to set them up so the last file I endited opens when I boot up the app. I want to orgainize the filing system; so when I use the Open option I don't have to search for my Au project folder. 

How do I manage the files from this Default workspace? The only option I see here are these 2 import folders.  Where are the files in my Au projects folder?  The screenshot shows the file I just opened, from inside Explorer, where there are about 8 files, but this is the only one I see. It's not like Pr's UI; which is why I'm confused.

Hi, I'm probably missing something really simple but I can't seem to get the hang of how files work between Waveform and Multitrack views (of the same 'track').  By that I mean I hit record in Multiview, and then if I double click to edit it, it opens in Waveform.  Presumably to adjust/clip out unwanted bits etc.  I do this but when I go back to the multitrack view, my edits haven't 'stuck' and I still have the unwanted bits in it.  I've tried deleting the unwanted part in Mulititrack view and dragging in what I think ought to be the edited version (from the Files box, but I end up with the original file back.  AA is fairly intuitive but I just can't get the hang of this.   Thank you fo rany help anyoine can give.  

In my work editing multi-cam YouTube soundtracks, I have only very rarely used Crop in the Context Menu. But I have far too frequently hit Crop by mistake "reaching" for the adjacent Silence or AutoHeal. And then I have to undo the damage before I move on.  I have removed the Crop keyboard shortcut, but the Context Menu still has the power to Crop when I definitely don't want it to. 

Hi all! There is a small "bip" not recorded on my Adobe Audition multitrack session. It starts before the clip comes in. Any idea how to remove that? Thanks very much!Tennessee

I need help putting a file into Audition  Hello,I have been trying to put a few audio files from my SD card onto audition, this SD card has recorded audio and has been able to import those audio files just fine but for some reason, these audio files are a no-go. the recorder I used is a Zoom H5 if that helps with anything. The error that keeps popping up is._140101-003740.MP3 Error: Media Foundation reported an error when opening the file.The byte stream type of the given URL is unsupported.I have searched for this error and I found some answers like downloading the files, changing the file name, and making sure it is not in my one drive. none of these work. If anyone knows how to fix this that would be super appreciated as this is for a big project due tomorrow. if you need any additional information please let me knowthanks in advance

I'm working with a large number of field recordings where it's important to view spectrograms precisely and consistently. When I open files, the spectrogram defaults to showing a frequency range of 0 kHz to 48 kHz, but I need it view only 0 kHz to 12 kHz, linear. It's a minor pain in the butt to zoom the freqency bar to the right size for dozens of files. Is there a way to save the frequency zoom level or have a hotkey for it? Ideally this would also allow me to do the same with the spectral resolution.

It makes no sense.  Why is there an audio effect in Premiere that isn't in their audio editing software Audition? I hate having to add the extra step to edit a podcast by first putting in through Premiere.

Not many new updates in the 2025 version. Audition needs som TLC from Adobe....... Please focus on audio editing outside of videoediting.....

The Punch and roll keeps going to start of Track. I have checked Settingas and it has the default 5 sec. Nothing I have checked has any kind of settings to take the playhead back to the start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

I need help! I'm using Audition to mix audio files, that I have synch with pluraleyes.When I import my xml file Audition keeps doing : "converting sample types", and therefore makes copies of my files. I just want to use the one I have already. I don't understand why it want to convert all the time (in 48000)I have changed in settings/Audio material/ and selected 44100 it doesn't do anythingI don't get it and really want Audition to stop converting and duplicating my files...what should I do?

V24.0.3.3 (Latest update), running at windows 11 How could I connect to mutiple audio output devices and let them play different tracks' audio? It's like one of the track is playing full version of a song, which is planned to output into a earphone for singer, and another track is only remixed background, output to speakers. I tried but I had never succeed to connect two output divices (in my case, an earphone and a standard computer speaker without a built-in mixer, running MME at mode) at the same time, it seems like AU only reconize the one that I choose as "default output" in the hardware->audio device page, and the other device did not shows in the option of track output source. Maybe this type of work is impossible? but I did saw an example done by Adobe on it's offical "Audition helps" website. Hi, I just installed a couple of audio plugins (from McDSP) for use in Audition on my Apple MacBook (high Sierra). There were problems; Audition crashed immediately when using these plugins as VST or VST3, but using it as audio units (AU) was the solution. There is only one problem remaining: The plugins from McDSP has no internal factory preset system, but using the preset structure of the DAW. I have some folders with loads of presets, but I can't figure it out where to put them so that auditions going to use them, and I try a lot of different options. Is there anybody out there, who thinks he/she can help me?

My delete keyboard key stopped working. But it works in other programs but not Adobe Audition. I've seen other threads on the problem being experienced by users of other Adobe tools. Is anyone else experiencing this problem and how did you fix it?

I filmed a Birthday party and there was a different type of Audio Volume (see the first screenshot, the talking of the people was not as loud as the applause for example). So i needed Audition to normalize the audio so that i have alltime the same level. But as i wanted to work ahead in premiere pro, the audio is totaly clipping (see at the screens), although the audio in audition is limited at -6 dB. But why?  

My uber mic is not working in audtion I can't get it to record. I have all of the audio hardware settings correct, and I've made sure the input/output settings are the same in my Microsoft settings. When I do play audio back the audio is super glitchy/choppy/laggy. Any help is appreciated before I lose my mind.  

I used to be able to export songs from my iTunes library and useudition. But now, all my songs are protected, and when I export  them on Adobe Athem to Audition, they won't load or play. How can I bypass this issue?

Everytime I try to save a file on my hard drive, I get the error message:  "The specified location is reserved by the operating system and is not permitted.  Please choose a different location."  I then choose a different location, and I continue to get the same error message.  Does anyone know what this is, and how to solve it?  I was albe to bypass it once by restarting my computer.  I'll try doing it again...but this is not productive, and will cost me in the long run.   Thanks, Mel

Hi, I'm new to Audition and only have very limited experoience of DAWs.    I have found that when using the Audition Learn function on OSX (always the latest version)  I am not able to zoom the images embedded to allow me to see the menu items selected.  Even with reading glasses and nose to the screen, I'm not able to follow on and spend ages lookinmg for the next item to select.   This really slows down the leanring process for me.    Command + isn't enabled within Learn so am a bit stuck.   I've looked in Settings (for AA) and theres nothing to indicate there is any customisable options for accessability. I'd expect better of a huge company like Adobe, to be honest.  Please address this Adobe.
