Questions

I have tried all of the suggestions and it still will not play. Is there any new ideas that may be the reason why it will not play? My computer was made specifically for podcasting: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12600K 3.70 GHz with 64 bit operating system, Windows 11. Thanks in advance. I've been trying for an entire day to recover my project that I've been working on for months. When I open it, I get a pop-up that says my file is missing. When I try to link the media, it asks me to find a sound instead of the missing file. After relinking the sound, the multitrack session freezes the DAW and nothing plays back or loads. I've tried resetting Audition and reinstalling it, as well as reaching out to customer service, but nothing has worked. I've also searched online, but I only find Premiere Pro tutorials. However, everything works fine when I make a new session. Panicking like crazy cuz I don't know the problem. pictures are below to kind of explain what's happening  P.s it probably has to do with the sample rate because when I press play it says playing but it also says resampling to match the sample rate of 44100 though it's still not playing anything 

My audio device (TI ADC6140 eval board) presents 8 record channels (PDM mics), TDM-32.  Goldwave successfully records 8 channels, 32 bits.  Audition creates an 8 channel file, but only the first 2 channels show actual audio, other 6 channels are zero.Ideas?Thanks, Chris

I've recorded several voice over sessions.  They are .pkf files and they were saved to my external hard drive, not to a cloud or mydrive.  When attempting to open any of the project files, I get the following error message:Error: Media Foundation reported an error when opening the file.The byte stream type of the given URL is unsupported. What is the fix?

Very new to this world. Using an M-Audio M-Track Duo to record a podcast. An audio signal shows up when recording but when I try to play it back during editing, I can't get any sound to come out of my laptop or headphones. My audio interface is an ASIO device and its automatically set as the default output device and wont let me change it. When I actually publish a session as an MP3, I'm able to listen to it through windows media player but I obviously need to be able to hear the audio during editing. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,I am actively recording audio for videos as part of my current job and although I have used Audition for quite a few years now I am still barely above novice level in terms of audio production. I use a RØDE NT-USB, it's what my employer provided. I should note that I am connecting it to a Windows PC via a USB port in my external monitor since the native USB ports on the PC are all USB 3 which seems to cause interference when using this mic. I have no idea if this affects how Windows/Audition sees the mic, I assume not. So using the RØDE NT-USB and Audition on Windows I find myself struggling to get a basic setup working for recording narration for videos that is clean and normalised for e.g. YouTube - which I learned only recently should be -14 to -16 LUFs. I am attaching an image which illustrates how the mic is setup in windows (I have my headphones connected through the 3.5mm jack on the RØDE NT-USB) and a recording comparison I did of my setup vs wh

I'm using zoom.us for my online lectures this semester (I'm a history prof), and I'm using a Zoom H6 as an audio interface and recording my audio locally with Audition to get higher quality sound. After working fine for a couple of weeks, Audition now stops recording in the middle of my lectures, and I can't figure out what's causing it. I've noticed that sometimes sharing my screen can make it stop, but sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I check to confirm it's recording and then notice it has stopped without me touching the mouse/keyboard/anything. Does anyone know what's causing this? Is there a list somewhere of command line arguments for Adobe apps in general?  Or for Audition specifically? I'd like to suppress "crash recovery" when using Audition in batch from the command line.  When it comes up it expects user input and cancels the script.   Ideally i'd love to launch it without the UI.  Any way for me to look at a list of command line options?

Is it possible to acquire software on my own lifetime license, mainly interested in new / older working programs for Adobe Audition? Lifetime License: Does It Exist?

How can I increase the font size in Adobe Audition CC? I'm using the program on an HP 27 inch LED QHD monitor. The text is too small for me to see without eyestrain and I will have to switch to another DAW if I can't make it larger.

My Project has recently been working great with third party plug ins until last night when I updated Audition. Now Audition crashes during Export>Multitrack>Mixdown. I tried reverting back to earlier verson of Audition that worked great yesterday(pre-update) and it' thes still crashing. I also noticed that the RAM seems to be working much harder today. 

This may be a really stupid question.This is my first serious use of Adobe Audition, I'm mixing sound for a sort film.  Upon opening the Premiere Pro project in Audition, it seems to work, but the color scheme looks almost greyed out, and very different than it looks in tutorials.  Looking at Preferences->Appearance, I don't see anything that makes it look more standard like I see in other adobe apps.  Am I missing something?Thanks!

Hey there,   I'm having a problem with Adobe Audition, since today that little "wheel" where I can change the volume of a track or selection is gone and I can't find any advice of how to get it back.   It might just be a stupid keyboard shortcut that hides/shows it but I couldn't get it back so far.   Also restarting Audition or resetting the workspace didn't help.   Can anyone please help me?

I am having trouble finding a way to arm multiple tracks to record at once. I have about 10 tracks that I need to arm and un arm at the same time, but I can't find a way to do it. Does anyone have an idea of how to do this?

sometimes my file is like this after saving (export)... why is that happaning? (i dont use fade...)

I select the background noise, click on multitrack, and comeback, capture noise print is available but it sounds slightly different. if I play the selected portion it's greyed out again. I have tried copy-paste to increase the selected area. sometimes it works sometimes it does not. I am so frustrated I can never access the noise print option.Kindly help me with this issue. (adobe adution 2022)Thank you!!

Got a noise print for a Track, and then went through my favourite saved process for the clip. Uploaded another clip and I keep getting the 'Noise print is incompatible with this file'. Files are from the same source, and I have tried to open in new projects, multi tracks but now all I get is this message, what have I missed in the process?

Experimenting with video in Audition so I can watch the performers, and it seems the video will render a significant part of the performance but then it either goes blank (unless I hit pause, then it shows the current static image) or somehow diplays another secition of the video?  Any advice for how to get this to work properly? I'm just using a reduced res (640x360) version of the video from my phone for this purposes  Eventually it will go to Premier for full res final video editing.  Should I just go the Premieer as a start and then back to Audition? Attached are the file specs:  

I was asked to digitaze 45 maxell 35-180 analogue tapes. To reduce copytime, I prefer to set the tapedeck speed on 15 inch instead of 7.5 which was used originally. Adjusting JKL in Preferences, Playback & Recording, you can easily slow the playback speed 50%. But how do I save it to a new file with that new speed? I can't seem to find it. I have noticed a significant difference in efficiency between Mac and Windows when editing WAV files in the spectral view. I own a MacBook Pro with the M3 Max chip, yet despite this, the speed when processing WAV files in the spectral interface is extremely slow. For example, even a simple operation like a +6dB adjustment requires a few seconds of waiting.On the other hand, any ordinary Windows PC can perform such operations without any delay.Since I need to perform a lot of spectral editing recently, I am considering abandoning the M3 Max and purchasing a new PC.Has anyone else encountered this issue? Audition developers, what is your explanation for this?

When editing multitrack WAV files, could you allow users to customize the display height of each channel? Currently, the height is evenly distributed among all channels, which makes it challenging to observe details, especially when working with a 16-track WAV file. It would be much more convenient if we could adjust the height of any individual channel.Additionally, it would be great to have this customization feature in the spectral editing window as well, allowing for individual channel height adjustments.

HI all, My company has been using The Match Loudness panel in Audition using the ITU-R BS.1770-3 preset to adjust all voice-over audio to an industry standard volume. I've been tasked to verify this is still a relevant best practice. After a quick Google search, I came across this:https://www.itu.int/dms_pubrec/itu-r/rec/bs/R-REC-BS.1770-5-202311-I!!PDF-E.pdf This PDF talks about ITU-R BS.1770-5 being the latest loudness model, which is not listed as a preset in Audition. I've scanned through said PDF, but it gets into math and tech jargon that's over my head. My question to you is... is ITU-R BS.1770-3 still a relevant model to match loudness? According to this, it's dated (2012). But despite the age, maybe it's still a relevant model? For reference, here are the settings we use:Is this still an appropriate approach to matching loudness for VO? If not, what would be the best practice and/or model to match to? Thanks!

Hi Audition Experts,I recently had to make the tough decision to move from Macbook Pro to a PC laptop. In setting up the PC version of Audition, I notice that there are subtle (but really difficult to manage) changes between the editing functions using the trackpad. For example, with the spectral frequency display, a two finger pinch on the Mac makes the view expand/contract horizontally, however on the PC, it makes the view expand vertically. A setting I can't seem to change. Also, despite the settings changed to "most sensitive" for the trackpad if I swipe to move across the recording quickly, it moves fast on the Mac, but in the PC is hardly moves at all. I'm not in a position to add a seperate trackpad, or use a mouse etc. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced these subtle differences, or if I am missing some settings somewhere.  Are there any other differences people notice about working across platforms?  Many thanks!

Hello everyone My Audition version : 13.0.2.35 I open a audio file in Audition and I close it. Audition is still running.When I want to manipulate the file in the explorer (or from python) the file is still locked by Audition.I must close Audition to unlock the file.Is there a way to avoid this issue. Thanks in advance.
