Is there a way in Adobe Bridge to create metadata templates that span multiple folders so as when looking for a template from the menu it better organised/easy to find; example (tools -> replace metadata -> birds/insects/wildlife as maim submenu (and under each would be another submenu based on folder structure for the particular species involved where template files actually reside). If not is there another way to achieve this? In current implementation there is only 1 folder, so if you have/rely on many templates you'll need to scroll endlessly to find the right one. Thanks in advance for some help and if there is no way around it would it be an interesting feature to add in next release/upgrade for Bridge so we can ask Adobe to make this happen?
What cloud storage solutions are people using successfully with Bridge? Using Box Sync to store files locally and in the cloud has been working beautifully for us for years, but they just announced they will no longer support it after December 2026. Box Drive not working with Bridge is a known limitation, so unless they fix it before then, we'll need to find a different solution. What is working for folks, and what services have you run into issues with? My team is primarily on Macs.
I have a new computer, and unfortunately, I can no longer install Bridge 2022 from Adobe Creative Cloud. After installing 2026, I immediately remember why I stopped updating Bridge and continued using 2022. But now that I can no longer download 2022, I'm wondering if there are solutions to the following problems.- I edit many photos on my laptop while traveling, entering all the information into the EXIF fields. When I get home, I want to download the photos from the memory card using the Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader. However, with the current version(s), it no longer includes the .XMP files when importing. So, only the photos without .XMP files appear in the import folder, and all edits and EXIF information are lost. How do I include the .XMP files when importing?- When editing metadata, I have several templates with presets. If I want to modify one of them, I go to "Edit metadata template." For example, in the description section, I have multiple lines of text describing the pho
Hi everyone, We're excited to announce a new Adobe Community experience is coming this January. A little bit about the update: The new experience will be simpler to navigate, make it easier to connect with other creatives and Adobe experts, and is designed so you have a say in the evolution of the Adobe apps you use each day. In the meantime: Adobe Community will remain active. Keep using it as usual—there will be no interruption in access. In fact, you’ll notice even more Adobe Experts on deck to provide faster responses before, during, and after the update. No existing content will be lost in the update. Every single post, reply, solution, feature request, and bug report you’ve made will be transferred to the new experience. You won't need to recreate anything. Existing content will reappear in two phases. At launch, posts created on or before November 16th will be available immediately. A few weeks later you’ll see posts created between November 17th and launch day. W
Bridge is trying to render thumbnails from .raw and .RAW Noritsu and Pakon filmscanner files because it's thinking they are Panasonic.raw files. This results in a never ending loop with 600% CPU load with freeze, which even gets my Mac M5 cooking. Please add an option for not rendering certain file types.
This morning, in Bridge, I tried to find an Illustrator file that I created on Friday. I used 'CMD F' and 'Document Type: Illustrator' + 'Include all Subfolders' + Include Non-indexed Files'. After 20 plus minutes it still hadn't found the file, and it was still Indexing. It later completed but the file didn't show until I toggled 'Descending order' down and up.I have just created an InDesign file. Search for InDesign file (like above) and the file isn't showing up. 5 minutes later and I have given up. Just not fit for purpose. The 'Mac Finder' does it in a second. What am I doing wrong?I can't wait 20 minutes every time I search for a file I have recently created.Apple Studio M2 – macOS Sonoma 14.8.2 – Adobe Bridge Version 16.0.0.63
Hi Adobe, the zoom tool in ACR is far better than the zoom tool in Bridge, however it is in Bridge (/in the selection process) that You primarily will need to zoom in to see if the image is sharp enough for further processing....In ACR, You just click and drag, then it zoom in as far as You want it, whereas in Bridge, You are lucky if it zoom in where You click, and thát get even worse if You scoll further in, then You will for real have to drag the image around, to find the part that You are interested in, and well to note, dragging a full screen worth, only get You a fifth screen worth drag, so thát zooming and dragging is VERY cumbersome, to say the least. Please port the zoom function from ACR over in bridge....
Just wanted to check if this was normal. I'm using the most up to date version of Bridge, trying to transfer photos from an SD card using a card reader. Adobe Bridge's photo downloader takes 3.5 seconds per photo, pretty slow when you're downloading hundreds of images.File types are ARW, around 60-70 MB. Is this speed normal? Or is there something else better to use for transferring raw images to my computer?
HiI used Bridge for many years for free. Now, after updating to Win 11 on a new computer, I would like to continue with Bridge. But I don't know, how to install the software without paying for it.Is Bridge still free (November 2025)? If so, how can I download it? As far as I know, I have to download first Creative Cloud, but which one (The Pro-Version is associated with costs). CC Client? And how to proceed from there?
Recently, my Desktop folder no longer shows up in Bridge. I'm using mac os 15.7. I've checked privacy and security settings to be sure that full file access has been granted – it has. I have reset my preferences in Bridge (opening with command+option+shift and then restarting the computer). Even uninstalled Bridge and downloaded/reinstalled it. Still nothing. I've tried everything I can find to get the desktop folder to show up and it still just doesn't. I'm completely stumped.
I have auto-rotation in camera (Canon 6d Mark II) disabled because vertical shots are displayed too small on the LCD screen. But this never stopped Bridge from auto-rotating the images. Recently, Bridge has stopped rotating images - meaning it's displaying images horizontally that were shot vertically.
скажите, а как удалить bridge 15? он не удаляется никак....
I have about 20,000 photos in roughly 100 folders on my external 98% are .jpg files (I only shoot RAW now - going forward). Many of the folder names are unclear and contain unrelated content. Some have Metadata info and some do not. Some folders have cell phone images, while some are from my older Nikons. There are lots of cropped edits and many duplicate images. I need to have some guidance. Should I work through these images and folders before I import into Bridge? I understand that with Bridge I can introduce new Metadata info to help in sorting. I want to work through 25 years of digital photos - deleting a bunch, rating some that I want to find easily.... etc. In short, I need guidance in tackling all of this in the best way possible.. Help!!
How do I correct this error statement, this happened when I updated photoshop to 2026 and bridge was update to the latest release
Beim drücken der Leertaste erscheint das Bild in Vollansicht, leider flackert es auch nach dem neuesten Update immer noch...Wird das irgendwann mal behoben???
[I keep finding problems with Bridge 2020 w.r.t. Bridge CS5 almost on a daily basis - un upgrade it aint] This is a relatively minor bug but dangerous when emptying the main drive Trash (MacOs Mojave). The more serious problem of file deletion in Bridge is being discussed on other threads. Each external drive has its own trash (/Volumes/<drive>/.Trashes) whereas there is the main drive user trash (/Users/<user>/.Trash). When Bridge is deleting a file on an external drive, it moves it to the user's local trash. This is not good for a number of reasons:1. If you don't know this behaviour and empty your local trash - you have unwittingly permanently deleted files on external drives;2. It would eat up storage on local drive which is more precious than external drives: A file deletion remainig on the same drive has no net storage cost - deleting a 1 GB file does not result in an additional 1 GB being used up on that drive - whereas moving the file
Since the Bridge 2026 update, dragging a Finder folder directly onto the application's icon in the Dock no longer works. It was quite convenient. Has anyone else noticed this?
All of the sudden, after a day of regular work, Bridge 16 stopped letting rename files or assign stars or labels. When I click on the name field of the file it seems disabled. My Mac runs on 15.7.2 . I tried updating OS, tried uninstalling and installing Bridge again. The disc access is granted in the security settings. What should I do to resolve?
This is my second post about this. Yesterday morning Bridge (2026, on MacBook Pro M5 with Tahoe) stopped working. It begins to lauch, the menu bar appears, but then nothing else. If you try to use a menu, for example the "about Bridge" or anything that would call up something on the screen, nothing hasppens and the menus all grey out. Then you have to use force quit to cloe down. I've tried everything I see on hte web to no avail. If I hold the coamn/optio/shift keys I get a window that allows me to choose emptying cache and/or deleting presents (nothing about startup files) but doing that doesn't alter the results. I starting from teh finder insteard of the doc, but the same things happen. Any ideas? Ed Merrin
Hi Adobe Community,I can't uninstall the old version of Adobe Bridge, v: 9.1. It doesn't appear in Creative Cloud and also doesn't appear in the list in Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. It does not appear in Windows 11 uninstall or Revo Uninstaller, and Revo Forced Uninstall doesn't find it. Is there any way to remove this old version? Thanks.Zaffer
Anything I search for in the Adobe Bridge quick search (in the top right of the app) yeilds zero results. I'm trying to search terms in my Sound Effects library. No matter what I search, no items are found. If I search a term in the general File Explorer (outside of the Bridge app) I get results. I've unistalled and reinstalled Bridge. Still not working. I've downloaded the beta version of Bridge. Still not working.
BonjourJe n'arrive pas à ouvrir les fichiers présents sur mon NAS DS218J. Le fichier apparait avec un cadenas en haut à droit, sans affichage de l'aperçu.Avez-vous une solution ?Merci
In the Folders section of Bridge, "This PC" and subsequent folders are listed twice; duplicated. I'm using the current version of Bridge and have reinstalled twice, to no avail. Microsoft File Explorer and other like apps work Ok, no duplicated trees. Any thoughts?
I couldn't found how to disable mandatory use of Ctrl key combined with a digit (e.g. Ctrl+1) for rating files in the latest version of Bridge. Since I use ratings very often, it's very uncomfortable to press 2 keys instead of one. Adobe team, do restore the checkbox, please!
