The Lens Blur panel is stuck at the top of the panel bar and and can't be moved or removed. When opening the Edit Panels dialog to try to move or remove it, it shows at the bottom without a title and moving or unticking it has no effect. This only started happening after updating from ACR 16.0 to 16.1 When running 16.0 I had removed the lens blur panel using the Edit Panels because I didn't need it. But once I updated to 16.1, the panel is back and stuck at the top. Windows 11 Pro 22H2ACR 16.2.0.1763Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
Hi, today I updated to Camera RAW 16. At first view I encountered some important changes as a different by default order in the modules, a different grouping of the controls or features and of course a very impressive new feature called Lens Blur (Early Access). I would appreciate any info about some url to see all the news/fixes etc about this new version. Thanks in advance
Gracias.
Why do I need to have a 1,6 GB CameraRAW folder inProgramdata\Adobe\CameraRAW and Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic\ResourcesProgram Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom CC\Resources More are in is in:Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRAWUsers\Username\AppData\Local\Adobe\CameraRAW Just use one copy for both Photoshop, Lightroom and Lightroom CC. This is a bad design. Those 3 Programs take up 19GB without any cached photos.
I asked this question in another forum on the Adobe site and it was suggested I also post it here.I would like to create profiles for my cameras that have a true linear tone curve. i.e. no embedded adjustments for highlights and shadows from the straight line that is characteristic of a raw file linear tone curve. When I made camera profiles with the DNG Profile editor there was an option for a linear tone curve along with the Adobe standard tone curve. When testing the profile creation capabilities of the new version of LR and ACR it seems that there is some "below the surface" adjustments made to the linear tone curve. i.e. pulling down highlights via slider or decreasing shadow density via the slide does add more detail to the highlights and shadows. This suggests that there are adjustments baked into the software that deviate from a straight line tone curve. So, A) are there deviations? B) if so, how can they be removed?
Camera raw doesn't workYesterday morning I used it to do basic image processing, and in the evening the program informed me that my GPU was not enough. I have a 2022 Macbook with an M2 processor - everything should work.My algorithm is this: I select images in Bridge 2024, then open them in Camera Raw. At this stage, in the tools field I see the message “you need to enable GPU acceleration.”How can I do this? Moreover, everything works in Lightroom. Please help me solve this problem.
Like a lot of folk, I am not loving (really hating) the new update to Camera Raw but most of it seems to come under the category of 'I'll get used to it eventually'. The one thing I can't see me getting used to is the grid that appears as a matter of course any time you adjust the sliders under Geometry. I have macular degeneration and looking at grids is a nightmare. Can it be turned off somewhere?
I knew it would happen. And now it has. Adobe has informed me my desktop computer no longer supports my 'PS/LR Bundle' package which I've been using for years. PS Camera RAW no longer works and, over a period of time LR has been warning me my present graphics card resources are insufficient which means it's time for a major overhaul. What would your recommendations be for a new CPU and GPU?
My Camera Raw in Adobe Bridge will no longer recognize people for the people mask. Using Adobe Bridge 14.0.1.137 on a 2020 Macbook Air with the M1 chip on 11.7.10 BigSur. I was orginally able to pull up a photo of a person, and camera raw would recgonize the person for a People Mask. Now, no matter what photo I use, the mask reads "Unable To Select People In This Photo" I've tried photographing myself on white backgrounds, black backgrounds, grey backgrounds, all with great lighting only to get the same message. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times, and have shut my Mac on and off regularly. Any advice?
Don't you just *LOVE* it when Adobe breaks your workflow with updates and costs you time/money? Camera Raw 16.2. In the new Crop/Geometry tab, holding Alt and pressing an up or down arrow key no longer navigates to the previous or next photo in the film strip. It works in the Edit tab. Why did they move the geometry adjustments anyway? And while I'm here, I suppose there's no possible way to get the older crop view back, where the photo remains static and the crop box moves, instead of the crop box moving the whole canvas as you adjust it....?
Excuse what I’m sure is my ineptitude and stupidity but I’m new to PS 2024 and the new Camera Raw version (16.1). I’ve been working on landscapes and this is my workflow:- I often use the AI De-noise on the opened NEF file in CR 16.1 and save it as a new DNG file- Opening that new DNG file I remove spots; then, choosing ‘Edit’ I make adjustments under the HDR tab e.g I tweak the ‘Light’ settings; then I go over to ‘Presets- in particular I've been experimenting with things like ‘Adaptive Sky’ Now: why when I click on Window can I not view the History of my edits before saving? But more importantly why when I save the image out as an Enhanced-NR.dng are the edits and preset filters I’ve just made not applied to the saved file? It’s as if those edits are simply shown on screen but not actually applied, what am I doing wrong? Many thanks
I followed the instruction here to open the jpg in Camera Raw, but after clicking "enhance" all the options are grayed out. What am I missing?
Hi Adobe team,Could you please provide more information on how the MaxContentLightLevel is set when creating an AVIF file from Camera Raw (HDR workflow)?I've noticed some unusual values, which are causing different behavior in other viewers, such as Chrome. My settings are set to ITU-R BT.2408 (203/1000 nits). I'm using the Windows version of Adobe Camera Raw with the latest update. Thanks a lot,Jerome M
Hi, Is there a way to permanently turn down the opacity to 0 Sharpening under the Details tab in Camera Raw 16.2? It reverts to 24 on every image and it would be one less step to have it remain at 0 for my purposes. Thank you.
Hi, My normal workflow is i have a number of layers and layer masks, working with all the basic stuff. Then i usually copy all layers flatten them to make a smart object layer above all. Open that layer in Camera Raw to make the last finish (color, contrast and grain). Sometimes I want to make an adjustment to one of the layers below and have to redo the camera raw smart object-layer. Is there any way I can make that layer "live" So I still can make adjustments below and the smart layer just make the color/contrast adjustments? I've tried making the camera raw layer 50% grey but that doesn't look right.
Nivida GeForce MX 230 is supported by PS 25.0 and has been supported for years in PS. However, ACR does not see this GPU. This has been a problem since at least version ARC 14.5. I have been struggling with this issue since December 2023. I have created at least four trouble tickets. I always end up with the same work around. "Roll back to ACR version 14.5," which does not require GPU acceleration. It does not fix the problem. PS sees and uses my GPU fine, but ACR not only does not see my GPU it grays out the option of picking a GPU. This very frustrating as I pay monthly for the latest Adobe software, however I am stuck using ACR 14.5 when ACR 16.2 is out. Also frustrating because ACR is my preferred Raw processor. Much of the last three months I have used no Raw processor or Light Room Classic. This is also frustrating because there is no "Light Room as filter option". In addition I hate LR and am barely competent at using it. I have considered switching to O
Hi Everyone, Recently, when I edit a ( 32.8 MB ) .NEF file in camera raw and then open as smart object in photoshop the file size is very small. Working on iMac, Somoma 14.2.1. Everything updated.original file is 8256 x 5504 and when opened as smart object in PS it's 1080 x 720.It's only happened in the last week.I have no idea what I've done to cause this. Can anyone help please? Many thanksChristine
I edited some pics in Photoshop, camera raw filter, and saved that preset to my computer. Then used those settings several days without any trouble. Today I tried using it and it says "Unable to load the raw conversion settings" "There were no Camera Raw settings in the selected ".xmp" metadata file." Why could this be happening? Has my saved filter broken? How can I fix it?
Hello! After I edit images in camera raw then hit the open button on the bottom right it closes camera raw and goes back to bridge but does not open my images in photoshop. I have uninstalled photoshop, bridge, and camera raw and they still will not open. I tried googling and asking in the chat and cannot find an answer. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!
This weekend I rented a Canon 5D Mark iii. I have downloaded the files and all of the thumbnails in camera raw say CR2 and when I try to open Photoshop does not recognize this product. I have:Photoshop CS4Camera Raw CS4Canon 5D Mark iiI have checked my updates folder and all my updates are current. Do I need to upgrade to CS5 or is there a way around this?
Hello, I have to convert all my RAW files to DNG for camera raw compatablility. After that, I want to save all my DNG files to TIFF after processing them in camera raw. When doing so, can I go back in camera raw and edit the TIFF files just as much as I could if they were still DNG files? I understand I will have already assigned a color space to my TIFF files. In the end, I will delete all my RAW/DNG files and have just my uncompressed TIFF files.
Hi, I've been experimenting with a few different custom crop ratios in Camera Raw. I've settled on the ones I like but now have a few unwanted ones I'd like to remove. Does anyone know how to edit or clear them, please?
Hello everyone,I've accidentally deleted a preset set instead of one single preset, this Set is the Favorites set and it had 20 of my presets that i use a lot. Is there something to do now? I've tried immediately terminating Photoshop via Task Manager but it saved it and it's still the same. Edit: you can backup the files manually at:C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings\Adobe\Presets (i still need help with my lost presets)
