Trying to install Captivate 2017 on Mac w 10.15.4 Catalina OS. Have a license. Downloaded the package from website, got message "Error: The installation cannot continue as the installer file may be damaged. Download the installer file again."Downloaded twice now and getting the same message. Is there any way to have this package updated on the website? I already have a license for 2017 Captivate, and it is a work license. Can't upgrade right now.

If I downlad a character from Assets, can I also import that character into Articulate Storyline and use it there?  Or does the EULA or other agreement only provide those characters for use in Captivate?Thanks.

Hi Guys,Could I ask for your advice about how to Add Img in JavaScript Popups in My Captivate Project.I’m a bit confused about Javascript. Now I can create a text format and the next step I want to add an image under the text. Would you recommend what I could do? 

How can we prevent screen readers from reading certain objects, like decorative items that would waste a users time? There must be some way to do this? Is there a trick, like adding code to the alt text to ignore the object? Or maybe uncheck Auto Label and leave the fields blank? Using Captivate 11.5.1 Thank you

Hi Community!I recently purchased Captivate 2019 and created a simple storyboard presentation to submit for a class. I sent it to my professor not realizing she would also need Adobe captivate to open the file I sent her. Other than creating a snap shot of each slide and pasting into PPT, is there a way I can share it with her by changing the format? I tried printing and then saving as a storyboard, but it would not save to my captivate project folder. I'm confused.  Help!

Hello, I receive an 'Unknown Error' message when submitting quiz results to the server. The application loads and appears to run fine until a Name & Email are submitted at the end of the quiz. It appears that there is an error in the application because the data does not get submitted to the server. I have created quizzes before and a new Captivate Results folder was created on the server when the results were submitted. Can anyone help?Thanks!,Anthony

Hello, I recently just downloaded a free trial of Captivate 2019. I didn't realize that I would not be able to open an old project with a .cp file. I downloaded Captivate because I want to convert our old .cp file project to a format that we can input into our LMS online. I know now that Captivate only opens .cptx files now, but that if I could download Adobe Captivate 5 or earlier, I could open the .cp file and convert it to .cptx, and then I could publish it as a SCORM file or an mp4 which I could use in the LMS. How can I download Captivate 5? Thank you,Lindsay

Hi.I am using a Cp 2019 templates, and I check that it includes objects that seem to have been created as a fluid box, but they really are not and of course it does not appear in the fluid box inspector. Also, I check that it lets these shapes move freely through the space of a fluid box. This is normally not allowed by Cp, the object usually fills the fluid box on which it depends.Excuse me but I don't know this variant well.Thank you

Hi  Can I check what type of formats can be exported from Captivate? Also I note there is an interactive video - which can convert ppt to video and subsequently add interactive formats in the video such as a quiz. Can I know what format is that? Thanks 

Hello! I reviewed my training several times with different settings. I used both Chrome and IE11 and couldn't find any bugs or display problems. I shared the training with my client published as HTML5 scorm file on moodle. Now he faced several display issues. He can't see text inside smart shapes, which are used as buttons. And he can't see the question nor the answers from the quiz slides. I tried to reproduce the mistakes but wasn't able to find anything.Does anyone have an idea how I can solve the problem?

Hi all, I'm trying to find a solution for how to make my fluid box image fills look clear on mobile as well as desktop. I'm working in a responsive project in Captivate version 11.5.0.The images look fine on desktop but get blurry on smaller screens. I'm using .png images as background fills for fluid boxes. The fluid boxes are set to be Centred tiles so the image automatically crops down on a mobile screen. But the image also gets blurry.From what I've read, it would be best to use vector images rather than .png's but I've been unable to apply a vector image as a fluid box image fill. Does anyone have any recommendations to avoid the blurriness on mobile please? 

Hello Everyone!I tried re-installing my adobe captivate 9.0 on my PC which i recently uninstalled but the software is asking for the product serial number which i was never provided with. As a result i couldn't install the application back on my system. I am on a monthly recurring plan for a period of one year and i have been receiving emails from adobe asking me to update my credit card details. Good morning,I downloaded the Trial Version of Captivate yesterday...trying before buying. I am an absolute novice using the tool, so appreciate your patience and assistance on my questions below. After installing, I created a Video Demo, aim is to create a tutorial of an Excel tool.I used the “Application” setting for the recording: The preview automatically shown after the recording and video displayed in Captivate after selecting “Edit” are both crystal clear, but there is a strange black box showing, which I could manually select and delete: Why is this black box being displayed? Is there anyway of removing before/after recording automatically? After Publishing the recording, the video is distorted. I have tried different custom sizes for the recording:1920 X 10401396 X 7681280 X 6921024 X 768836 X 626 – although this size is far too small 1024 X 768 … seems to work the best, but the video is still far too blurry in places, especially if I need to produce and se

Hello,  My teammates and I encounter a serious problem that we all cannot publish to Scorm1.2 and not sure what is the root cause. When we publish eLearning course by Adobe Captivate, Captivate is just “Freeze/Not Responding” after clicking “Publish” button.I’m not sure is the Preferences setup issue or whatelse so i upload the Scorm1.2 publish setting as well. Can anyone advise what happen? as this is not only happening to me but also my teammates.  Thank you!

Hello,This is my first post.  I'm creating a project in Captivate 2019.  I have a pretest, knowledge tests and a final quiz all in the same project.  If I select "submit all" on quiz perferences does that mean it applies to the pretest and knowldge quiz as well? During the pretest, if I do not answer and press Submit, I get the expected answer.  If I do answer and press Submit I get nothing and I have no way to advance the slide.  Also the "on exit" for the slide is grayed out.Please help.Dee in GA

Hi! I am making a Japanese language e-learning using Captivate 2019. However Ifound that Captivate is unable to practice furigana (Furigana is the name for the phonetic characters placed above Chinese characters to tell the reader the pronunciation) which is a must-have function for Japanese language e-learning system. I would like to ask are there any ways which allows me to practice furigana in Captivate? I created a quiz in Adobe Captivate and published it to Adobe Connect to be used in a Virtual Classroom.The quiz works great.The problem I have, I can not get reports, that reports the name and score of each person that took the test.I need help with how to run a report, and get the names of each person and trheir score.

Hi, I am creating quiz slides from a Master Quiz Slide.  It has the Default Progress Idicator on the Master Slide but it is not showing up on the quiz slide.  Has anyone run into this before? Can I just add it somehow to the actual quiz slide?

In a Captivate file I have 3 video files on 3 slides in a row.Video 1 is playing. Then Captivate switches to the next slide. It works well. On the second video slide I put interactions on the video. They also work well. When I switch to the third slide, which is actually almost identical to the second one, the display in Chrome (HTML5) crashes. The Captivate Container is still there, but it's a green box. The TOC is still displayed. But doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know the problem? It works in Firefox.Edit: I have rebuilt the Slide. The crash remains.But if I put another video in the video container, it remains stable and does not crash.Now I have rendered the original video again in the media encoder. And yet it crashes again.How can it be because of the video?Edit II: That seems like a pretty crazy thing. What I've tried now. I once copied the respective slides into a new file. Only the third video slide, which caused problems. That worked. So it's not because of slid
