It insists on saving output to my local hard drive, instead of my NAS drive. Is there really no way to do what every other Windows app in the world lets you do?

I started at the University of Cambridge (US) this year and they have digital books using Adobe digital editions.  I'm in the US but when I try to open a book. I get this message:  E_ADEPT_TOO_SHORT What does this mean and more importantly, how do I fix this?   See Screenshot below:  

Buongiorno, ho un problema con digital editions su Mac. Fa sempre l'errore di recupero licenza. Una volta risolvevo il problema cancellando l'autorizzazione e riautorizzando il computer, ma da un anno a questa parte, ogni volta che provo a cancellare l'autorizzazione, fa un errore nell'inserimento della password e mi dice di riprovare più tardi. La password è giusta, ho controllato sull'ID Adobe per sicurezza e ho anche provato a cancellare e riautorizzare un altro dispositivo, con successo. Fino a questo momento non mi sono posta il problema perché ho un lettore Pocketbook sincronizzato con il mio Adobe ID, su cui posso quindi caricare direttamente il file acsm. Ora però ho necessità di risolvere questo problema sul computer, perché ho intenzione di comprare un Kobo, e ho letto che devo aprire il file con digital editions prima di poterlo copiare sul lettore. Sottolineo che il Mac è aggiornato all'ultima versione del sistema operativo, così come digital editions è nell'ultima versione

Gestern habe ich hier erfahren: wenn Kopie nicht erlaubt, dann ist das der Grund für die Fehlermeldung: CE copy not allowed. Das ist nicht sehr befriedigend. "Lesen" war für ALLE Geräte erlaubt. Ein solches Gerät ist mein E-Book-Reader TOLINO. Warum kann meine bei Google gekauften ebooks nicht auf dem Reader lesen? Aus meiner Sicht ist es unmöglich, ein ebook zu verkaufen, dass ich dann nicht auf einem dafür geeigneten Reader lesen kann!

I purchased the PMBOK from the PMI IPG store and received an ACSM link.I get E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR when trying to open the ACSM in Adobe Digital Editions. I have tried reauthorizing ADE and reinstalling, but the license cannot be obtained.i can't reach the ADOBE SUPPORT TEAM 

Error appears when trying to download ebook to digital reader

ADE no reconoce un libro electrónico SPC MODELO DICKENS, a pesar de tener cuenta abierta en ADE. Me da un error al intentar autorizar el equipo desde ADE. pOR LO QUE NO PUEDO BAJAR LIBROS DESDE LA PLATAFORMA EBIBLIOARAGÓN. Ruego su ayuda si alguien sabe la solución.Gracias.

Hello, I have a really frustrating problem. I want to convert my .acsm files to epub on digital editions but when I try to open a file I get the error that the license of the book is under a different username. I have two accounts on adobe but neither of them work and I don't know which email/username has the license. Can anyone help me?

I have a problem with adobe digital editions. I signed up on my mac using apple. When I try to authorize my computer and move books it's saying that the item is under a different username. I only have one email and one password on adobe. I don't understand which user all of my books are under of can anyone help? 

Suite à la configuration de mon nouveau MacbookAir avec Time Machine à partir d'une sauvegarde de mon iMac, je ne peux plus lire mes libres numériques avec Adobe Digital Editions. Je ne parviens pas non plus à effacer l'autorisation de l'ordinateur (impossible d'annuler l'autorisation. Veuillez réessayer ultérieurement). Ca ne marche évidemment jamais!Y a-t-il quelqu'un pour m'aider ?

when I add a book to my library, previous books are added again even though they're already in my library - if I try to delete one - all of my books disappear and I have to download and add them all again - any advice?

My Macbook has been wiped, for a new start. But after installing Adobe Digital Editions i cant authorize my computer anymore. Because it says my Adobe Id can only be used on 1 device. But this is the device i use(d) for ADE. And actually on my Adobe ID it says no divices are connected. What to do?! 

I just transferred all my stuff over to a new Macbook and ADE now seemingly appears empty. In my All Items bookshelf, at the very top it reports the correct number of items like so: Bookshelves - All Items (33) but I can only see the cover and info for maybe 1 random book. Everything else is basically invisible. It's all still there and if I randomly click around I can blindly open things, but I can't tell what I'm opening otherwise. I imagine this will become a problem when I try to sideload my ereader with new library books.  I've tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing my device and it did nothing. I have not deleted ADE and redownloaded it yet. Hoping I won't have to do that. Any idea what I can do to fix this?

I need help in finding where and how to download ADE 3.0.

I have a few library books I downloaded recently. Before opening them I authorized my Windows 10 ADE desktop application. I then downloaded ADE for Android, and authorized that application. Based on the description in the Google Play store, where it says:"Seamless fulfillment of books across devices: With this new feature, when a consumer fulfills a book on one device, the book will be automatically downloaded to all the other devices that belong to this consumer (activated using the same user ID)."I expected my books to simply appear. A few posts on here have indicated this only works from Android->Desktop, and not the other way around, so I copied the acsm files and tried to open them. However, I get an error:"Error getting license. License server communication problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY"When I looked this up, I found a few discussions dealing with the desktop application, indicating that I should deauthorize the application and reauthorize it, including changes that can be made to

Hi all, I cannot deauthorize my computer, it refers to an old AdobeID that I am no longer using. I'd like to authorize with my new AdobeID. But I get an error message, see below. I've tried reinstalling, but that doesn't work. 

Bueno, pues me descargue la herramienta ADE, desde la cual he autorizado mi pc y mi ebook BQ Cervantes. El problema es que dentro de la herramienta ADE puedo leer los libros descargados, pero una vez que intento leerlos desde el ebook me da el siguiente error: "Acceso denegado. Comprueba tu licencia de Adobe DRM". Necesito ayuda, estoy desesperada, ya que llevo toda la mañana intentando solucionarlo. Gracias. 

I have downloaded the ADE app on my phone, and have supposedly activated it with my Adobe ID. However, my books from my Mac do not sync, and my phone does not show up in the 'Activated devices' tab on my Adobe account's website. I would really like to be able to read the book I've paid for on the go. Can someone help me?

Hello, I am trying to access a download from my PARiConnect document. When I open the file in Adobe Digitial Editions I receive the error message "E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER".  I have tried redownloading the file after deleting all previous files as well as logging into my Adobe account and nothing has worked so far. How can I resolve this? Thank you in advance! 

Hola a todos soy nueva en este mundillo y tengo un problemilla espero podais ayudarme .Vereis me he comprado un ebook y le tengo alojado en la biblioteca del Adobe digital editions, hasta aquí estupendo.El problema es que tengo un ebook electrónico y me gustaría pasar el libro al ebook electrónico y no tengo ni idea de como autorizar a mi ebook electrónico para poder pasarle el libro y utilizarle con el ebook.Mi ebook es de la            Marca ENERGY SISTEM                                      Modelo Color Book 1058Gracias  anticipadas por ayudarme.

I'm trying to use the latest version of Digital Editions on a Lenovo computer, running Windows 11 on a AMD Ryzen 7 chip.I get problems everytime I open an ACSM-file, to unlock a book. The application opens the book and presents it in the library but then it stops to respond. If I try to open yet another ACSM-file through the Windows Finder, DE will display an error, telling me the file can't be opened. And yet it can, if I first kick out the application with the help of the Task Manager.

I downloaded adobe digital edition, i opened  the book in my mac, in a hurry i autorized it without adobe id, than i realized i wanted to see it on my ipad and i deauthorized my computer, when i tried to open the book again en entered my adobe id, it says the book was already autorized for another id. Now i have no access at all

I have been downloading library ebooks just fine for a while, but then it stopped letting me, saying I need to re-authorize my ereader. I plugged my Kobo ereader into my computer but ADE shows it's already authorized so I can't do it again. I clicked on Authorize Device anyway, but it was grey so nothing changed. Now I can't open books on my reader but I can read on my computer, through ADE, and on my phone. I don't really like reading on either of those devices though. Any ideas of what I can do about this?
