I was reviewing my website:  www.yellowstone.co when I noticed a space before a comma.  I went in removed the space and saved the page.  I then uploaded the new page with the correction.  What I got was a totally messed up webpage and I am pissed!  I have been doing this since 1995 and have never had a software on it own add or change code and screw up a website.  This is totally unacceptable and very very frustrating!  Adobe has to fix this right now big time!  Help!  This is the new DW 19.1 build 11240.

Hi! I am trying to Save "Find & Replace" queries that I use in Dreamweaver all the time (vs. copy/pasting them every time). I found answers on how to do this in CC 2017 and 2018, but I tried to apply the same techniques to CC 2019 and it appears the option isn't there (ie. show hidden features in the prefs file). Is there a way to do this in CC 2019? The panel is very basic and doesn't show any Advanced options or give me a "Advanced Find & Replace" panel, so I'm not sure if this is possible to do, or if I'm not looking in the correct place.Thanks!

I am unable to set up my remote and testing servers. How do I go about fixing this issue so I can finish adding these servers?

After a recent computer crash, my PC had to be replaced. The good news is that I have a backup. The bad news is that I had to reinstall the entire creative suite.I'm trying to find out where the information contained in manage websites is stored. I had a bunch of websites with passwords, server names, etc. stored on the old system and would like a quick way to recreate that information in the new system.Anyone?

Hi everyone,I am trying to create a simple order form that needs to include multiple search fields.For example, let's say your selling hats. The first drop down menu allows you to select your hat of choice. The second drop down menu, based on the hat you selected, will show those colors or sizes available.The second drop down menu would/could be different for each hat style. The options that appear in the second drop down menu are dependent on which hat you choose.This is standard procedure for most order forms. Any help on how to make this work would be appreciated. Even a pre-existing order form template would suffice.Thanks.Mark

Hi. After the latest update to Dreamweaver CC I have been getting a message on only one website that I have built. When I open a page to work on it in Dreamweaver I get the message, "Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or translator. The changes will be discarded".This has never happened on this website or in dreamweaver before and has suddenly started popping up after the last update.  I don't know what a translator or what a template has to do with the website. I have not used a dreamweaver template for this site.Any thoughts or help would be. very gratefully received.Thanks, James.The Tittle was edited by Moderator.

Hello All,I've built a site in DW on a device I inherited. The site is uploaded and hosted and is all ok. When I test with the remote server (i.e. email link) is OK, but the email link will not on the web will not link out due it not syncing, I now want to make small changes, email links, text etc, but I find can't as it won't sync. also the get and put files make no sense.There is no other option to make changes.I've read the other discussions on this sync topic and it looks like this version I have will not let me sign in to it. I think I will have to delete this DW app and get the current CC 'live' version.ThanksSteve

So i've tried this on 2 seperate computers and i had this happen on 2 separate computers...  One is running OS 10.14.5, a 2012 Imac, and the other is running High Seirra OS, macbook pro...  What appears to happen is anytime i try to edit a php file, it messes the rest of my html site in the design view even on pages not associated with that php file...  The design view behaves like it cannot read the css properly... However, when  view the site in a browser it looks perfect, so the coding is good.  The only fix i have seen to fix it is to uninstall dreamweaver and reinstall it and it views properly until dreamweaver touches another php file and then it has the same issue then uninstall and reinstall.  Is there a fix for this?  For what it's worth, this is in regards to creating contact submission forms.  I do not have a local server but upload the site to my hosting server on bluehost.  I know dreamweaver in the past had issues with php file

I am running DWCC 2018, and I like the properties panel to be along the bottom of the screen.  The panel is only maybe a little over half the size I want and I can't make it any wider.  Not a problem when I was using DWCS6.

Thanks, I certainly will.  I have looked at a lot of the changes over the last year or so and knew that I was in for some huge changes.  That is why I was so worried that my skill level might be way too old.  It doesn't look good when ones website can't be used on a mobile device.  Can't wait for the book to get here!

Suddenly I cannot FTP with Dreamweaver.  Error messages in the log say for example what's pasted below. Also files have disappeared from the ISP server.  The ISP says it has to be DreamWeaver's problem because files just sit on their server.js:bootstrap.js - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put bootstrap.js.  Internal data error, possibly because of failure to start the upload. File activity incomplete. 20 file(s) or folder(s) were not completed. File Transfer failed due to following reasons:  - Internal data error, possibly because of failure to start the upload.

(1st of all...thanx to everyone who helped w/ my last post...almost all of the responses were over my head, but thanx anyway)please take a look at this site in progress: http://www.moonjams.net/cho2.htmlI used a bootstrap design I nicked from GetBootstrap, because: 1) I very much liked the overlapping of the intro text & intro image in the section class2) The fact that the main navbar was placed below the headerbut...the entire design is linked to an external GetBootstrap stylesheet...meaning that, if that stylesheet were ever yanked from that site, my site would fall flat on it's face.so...here's my basic questions:1) in dreamweaver (CC2018)...how would I design (FROM SCRATCH) a page to look like this...where I could link to my own stylesheet; & also link to my own custom fonts?  I've tried all the basic dreamweaver bootstrap templates, but can't find anything even similar.  When I use an existing template, I don't have the knowledge to maneuver it into that design.2

A few years back, the buzz word was 'mobile first' accentuating the fact that mobile use was rising exponentially. Maybe this will give us 'professionals' the edge over the likes of wix - lost my second customer in as many months to a wixer.

I realize that claim is rather lofty, but after getting behind on project after project, and used alternatives, I just keep trying dreamweaver time and time again, and It is seriously as if the application is 32bit, and it stalls unresponsive for up to 11 minutes trying to change script to /script up the smallest gesture. You can forget any design view or to even accidentally hit the design view button I have to turn to force quit and possible loss of my work. I have read about other people saying this program is slow and it looks like there is no remedy. If there is I haven't read of one that has worked for me. I have a 4k iMac with 16gb ram and I use my apps on the ssd, and load all project on external drive usually. But I have tried this with and without drives plugged in, with the internet off.  It is the program. Hi all.  I am downloading the Adobe updater for my Dreamweaver CS5 here. I ran the updater then restarted my computer. The next time I launch Dreamweaver it launches the extension manager to finish the install. I then get an error message that says "The extension 'Dreamweaver HTML5 Pack' does not contain a valid signature. The extension will not be installed."Now I'm caught in an infinite loop, as every time I launch Dreamweaver it goes through this same cycle.  I would appreciate any input anyone may have on this issue.  TIAStan

Hi,I'm blogging and inserting snippets of code (HTML, JavaScript, Java).  This code usually includes angle brackets, <>.Is there a plugin, macro, or other technique that will let me highlight a chunk of code and replace the < with < and > with >?  Right now, I'm doing a search and replace in Sublime text and pasting the result.  I didn't see a Find and Replace in Selection in DW.Thanks,Carl

Adobe Pros,Please help me with a script for my website that will read the users browser type.  If the browser is Safari, have the script direct the user to a different page.  I want to do this because Safari will not read the webp images.  I plan to make a different page with all jpeg images so the Safari user can wait for them to load instead of not seeing them.  I have seen fixes for this problem using the HTML Picture element and adding alternative image formats for Safari users.  But, I'm using FancyBox with these webp images and I don't see how the 'picture element' could be used within FancyBox.  Thanks for any insight you can provide...James
