I am still fairly new to FrameMaker and need help to figure out how to remove the white space to the right of my anchored side head image. I am hoping this is something I am just missing in the Paragraph Designer options. Please see below.

Hello,I am trying to automate the creation of some graphic shapes in Framemaker using ExtendScript and I had trouble adjusting the Line Width of the lines.I was thinking to check all properties of the Line Object and see which is the correct property to change.But I cannot understand at all how the PropVals work. Each PropVal has only a num and the Value. Hello, first post here.  I am productin an approximately 800-page book for an AI company. The files are all produded in the book, with files nested under folders, with one file formatted as Chapter, and subsequent files formatted and Heading 2 or Heading 3.  However, when I publish in Responsive HTML, the table of contents displays everything in a single display, even showing files in Heading 4. In the "Set Up Table of Contents" option, I select entries up to TOC 2, but FrameMaker seems to ignore this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

She said if I go into the .pdf and select File > Document Properties, and then select Fonts, I can change this. Well, I see each of the fonts there, and I see which ones do not have the Embedded label, but how do I go about fixing them to embed them? Will this require me to do something in Frame first and then create a new .pdf, or can I do it in Acrobat? Do I need to go into the maker.ini file and modify something? I knew I didn't want to relax too much...something always comes up and the last minute. It's Murphy's Law! Thanks in advance! Laini

Bug #: 14321  Problem Description: Links Don't Work In HTML if Text in Table Cell Goes to a Second Line. If a table cell has text in it that is linked using a hypertext marker and character tagging AND the text wraps to a second line, when the HTML is generated, the tagged text is not clickable. This doesn't appear to be a problem outside of tables and doesn't appear to be a problem in the PDF version.  Steps to Reproduce: Create a table. Put in a couple of lines worth of text. Select all of the text. Apply a character tag (e.g., Link Blue). Open Hypertext panel, add a link with Go to. Save. Generate HTML5 output using the Publishing module.  Actual Result: The text has the tagging, but is not clickable. PDF copy works fine. Expected Result: The text should be a clickable link. Any Workarounds: Break the text into smaller, linked units, using multiple hypertext markers. It would be great if some of you upvoted the bug. Thanks!

I have been attempting to copy paste a paragraph format. But nothing happens when I try to paste special. I merely get this dialogue: The paragraph format is not being applied. Does the feature work, or am I merely using it incorrectly?

"Marker-Text" does not appear on the search screen.Frame Maker version is 17.0.2.431. (Frame Maker2022). It is used in Japanese. Seven other people besides me have FrameMaker2022 installed. We are all on the same team and use the same model of PC. This has not happened to anyone but me. Search screen (Japanese) is attached. ”Marker Text" is "マーカー - テキスト" in Japanese.

how do i create the caution and warning in the paragraph formats to reflect as below:  

When I publish a book to Epub out of FrameMaker Version: 17.0.3.546, I get this odd result. It seems like the special characters -  in this case the bullet are being duplicated with code. Or perhaps it is the tab character. I don't know. The bulllets have been made using WingDings which normally works okay, but apparently not any more. Can it be fixed?        

I need help on how to be able to publish my Framemaker files as responsive HTML 5 output using the Framemaker's paragraph style. Note that I have tried the Automap Paragraph Styles but my output still uses the Times ROman New and 9pt font style and size even if my framemaker's Paragraph Designer was set to use Helvetica Neue. Does the html pull the font from a specific program folder?

Hello everybody, I am curious if Adobe or some 3rd party offers some database tool, that could offer me complete control of usage of inputs (images, primary framemaker documents) across the various publications in the projects. We usually use one source (image, framemaker doc) „imported by reference“ to various publications and I want to know which publication will be affected by the change in the primary document. So does exist some tool, which can offer me this overview? Thank you. Adam   

I have several questions re: Conditional Tags because I can't find any tips or instructions regarding these:Is there a way to hide a chapter or .fm file in a book with conditional tags? Would conditional expressions work for this? What conditional expression should I use? For example, a guide has 5 chapters and I'd like to create a version of the guide without chapters 2 and 4 (let's call this User Version, and another version with all of the chapters (let's call this Admin Version). How do I execute that in Framemaker using conditional tags or build?Can I also use the conditional tag to simultaneously publish 2 versions of the guide as PDF documents?Lastly, is it an expected behavior that when conditional tags are applied on bulleted items and I hide other tags, the tagged text are hidden but its corresponding bullet point is still displayed as shown like this:Vegetables Legumes Thanks in advance.

Hi,   ChatGPT and other LLMs are discussed everywhere. They are also used to write new code or at least improve existing code or explain code. (As I do not have that many experience with ExtendScript, I would love to get explanations for Klaus' or Rick's code ;).) Did anyone test this already? Can these AI systems handle ExtendScript? Hello,In a single FM document, I have tried to make a chapter numbering, but the chapter number is always at "1" for all chapters. Why ?

Hello,I need to separate all pages of my document because I want to add one poem on each page. The advantage for me to separate pages is : if I want to modify the poem on page 1, the poem on page 2 does not move.I have seen there are two ways to do it :1) add several disconnected pages2) add page break on each page I have two questions :1) What do you advise me to use in that case : disconnected pages/page break/ or other way ?2)  how to change an existing normal page to become a disconnected page, and how to change an existing disconnected page to become a normal page ?   

When using Hypertext alert markers to generate comments in PDF output, I've noticed a single marker will sometimes (though not always) generate up to three additional comment bubbles in the output PDF. The alert message is always the same but duplicated multiple times. I'm trying to follow the process you describe for formatting a miniTOC in this post:https://community.adobe.com/t5/framemaker-discussions/formatting-mini-table-of-content/td-p/10869326   I need to add right-aligned leaders between Heading 2 and the page number. However, after editing the Tab stop as you demonstrated, it doesn't appear that clicking Update Style is doing anything. The leaders do not appear on the Reference page between <$paratext> and <$pagenum>. What am I doing wrong?

FrameMaker forces heading level 1-chapters to start on pages with even numbers, and I don't know why or how to make them start on the next available page, even if it is an odd number.I created my chapters by letting FrameMaker convert Word documents. I don't know if that has something to do with it, although the headings could start anywhere in Word. I would appreciate any help.

Hello. I have a FrameMaker file that I would like to break into smaller chunks. (FrameMaker 17.0.2.431.) The document split function adds a number of blank pages to the end of each of the split-out sections, resulting in a book of 234 pages when the original file only had 22 pages. It also adds a paragraph with a Table Title style at the end of the text in each of the documents. Anybody have any ideas about these two glitches? Thanks in advance,Bill

Created a new book with FrameMaker 2020.  Added TOC.  Accidently placed it first, before the cover and frontmatter and PDF creates fine.  When I move it to proper location, I get a 16044 error and FrameMaker crash. Notice that TOC file icon is brown while all other file icons for book files are white.  Could this be related to the problem?
