Bonjour, j'ai créé un effet 3d et matières dans illustrator. Je voudrais savoir comment je peux l'enregistrer pour qu'il apparaissent dans une bibliothèque ou autres afin de pouvoir utiliser cet effet après sur d'autres formes sans pour autant refaire les réglages. Merci

I've encountered a serious problem with an Illustrator file containing a large amount of work that I cannot afford to lose. After my most recent save of the file, I'm no longer able to open it. When I try to open the file, I get a message that  "Illustrator could partially open this file. We recovered as much of the file as possible, but some content might be missing. Open to view the recovered file." When I click "Open," I get a second message that says"Acrobat PDF File Format is having difficulties. Object label badly formatted. Hey guys, I am losing my mind as I have tried everything to get my AI to work, it still won't.The momentI opennup my app or anyAI file, it is stuck like this, Left it for 4 hours, still was in thislop. I am gettng close tomy deadline. Please help.

I made a 3D object by extrusion. I then chose to Expand appearance. It is supposed to create an object with editable shapes. The result is not made of different shapes. Illustrator 26.0.1

I am returning to AI after a few years.  I am have two curves that meet, and am trying to flatten out a point at the top.  I can't seem to figure out how to show the corner widgets (if that is right approach)Also, I tried to attach the actual ai file, but it wouldn't let me??  

I have  a shape I made.  I have it in a layer above a grid I made using the rectangular grid tool.I was able to clip the lines but I lost the outline of the shape.  I am sure  I could paste one back in, but I want to know what I am doing wrong.  You can see the outline because everything is still selected.  But if I deselect it, the outline is gone.

I am having some very weird issues in Illustrator, going back as far version 27.  At absolutely random times when I am working on a vector file (could be simple flat art like a logo or a more complex file with multiple layers and content), when I press CMD Y to go into Outline Mode, and then go back to Preview Mode, it works absolutely fine (screenshot 1).  Then, while still in the same file, I could work for a while, then go back into Outline Mode again, then back into Preview Mode at which point the issues appear and persist (screenshot 2). When this happens, the resizing/dragging/clicking (basically almost any function) slows down, becomes very jerky, I lose some resize handles on thebounding box (as well as other weird artefacts and issues) and I have to save the file, close it, then restart Illustrator, and then the same file works just fine.    Screenshot 2 is what the issues look like when I go Preview to Outline then back to Preview.Screenshot

It was an exciting challenge at the intersection of code and the magic of the Appearance panel, which resulted in a script.OffsetObjects — free automatic offset creation for any objects in Adobe Illustrator  The problem:Illustrator’s built-in Object → Path → Offset Path works only with vector paths. While developing a new illustrator plugin I have been trying to get the plugin tool to use smart guides while click-dragging. Have not been able to get this right yet but now I seem to have corrupted the normal ruler guide system. Whenever I drag out a ruler guide the current fill and stroke are both reset to none. Have removed the plugin but this outcome persists. How do I get the guides to not affect the current fill/stroke settings? I have tried clearing the Illustrator cache and resetting Illustrator to original settings but the problem persists.Also, any suggestions on how to get the smart guides to work with my plugin would be greatly appreciated. 

To get the reflection of the red color image Transform Effect is used.  I assume X & Y coordinate is as such shown in the image. If so, mirror should be on the Y axis but Reflect X gives the correct result. What is the reason for that? 

Hello, we have an issue at work where files are being inundated with hundreds of swatches (see screenshot) and it is slowing files down immensely. This is also combined with hundreds of brush presets.  The problem being is that we have illustrator files we use as templates to create our work. But all of our work is now corrupted by these immense amount of swatches and brushes.  We cant use our templates without copying hundreds of swatches and brushes too. If we delete the swatches, which takes a while to load anyway, then save the file. Even if we copy out of the file at a later date, it REGENERATES all the swatches when copied into a new document?  My question being how can hundreds of swatches be made again by copying an object into a new file?  it feels like a virus these swatches, if you delete them, they just regenerate themselves if you copy an object into a new file. As you can imagine, this issue replicates itself, as we make m

I'm using AI CC 2017. When trying to draw a new object with the pen tool and snapping to existing points, the new path merges with the existing path, and the stoke and fill changes to match. I've found a workaround where if I click and hold, then press the spacebar, I can move my point to the correct spot without it merging. This is incredibly tedious for the project I'm working on, where I'd much rather "click - click - click..." than "click/spacebar/drag - click/spacebar/drag - click/spacebar/drag..."Is there a setting somewhere to turn this off?

Hi there!Anyone here who managed to make Illustrator 2019 run on a Windows 11 machine and who would like to share some hints on this?I just switched from an ancient Windows 10/11 machine to a brand-new Windows 11 machine, where Illustrator 2019 did well with the former and fails to run with the latter 😞Thanks

Hi Everyone.I am working on a project that requires me to export 4 layers from an illustrator file,  1 into DXF format and 3 into PNG format. I can do this using actions (not hiding and showing each layer) but I'd prefer to be able to do it using a script as it is something that is required with each file and there are numerous files to do.The 4 layers are called A, B, C and D. Layer A needs to be saved as a .DXF file to a certain specification and the file name to be "filenameA.dxf". Layers B,C and D need to be saved as .PNG files to certain specification and the file name to be "filenameB.png" etc. The files can be saved to a local drive in the same folder and then moved after. I really like the new color features and would like to see a "Find and replace color" function like the one in InDesign.

I have downloaded a editable text effect and am trying to change the text. When in layers, each part of this is is its own group of objects/vectors, however there doen't seem to be a text layer to retype a new word in which the effect will be applied to. I can't seem to find any direct answers though. See the image of the effect that I have downloaded.

I have trouble with my Wacom drawing tablet both on Ps and Ai. When I start to work eveything is normal and after short time it just doesn't react, everything else is running normal, if I do something with mouse or keyboard it reacts. I've discovered that if I use Alt+Tab to switch betwen Ai and anything else and then return to Ai it is working again, but also for a short period of time. I've updated drivers, and tried everything else I've read but with no luck. Can someone help me because it is impossible to work like this.Thank you.

  In the past i have had no issues with inserting images in any format to the adope illustrator app on the ipad and adding a layer on top to trace. Unfortunately of late i have not been able to do that as the image come as as a blank box.  i have tried to follow all instructions on the forum and i even noticed that it has been resolved so the subject no longer exist for discussion.  Please can someone share how they have managed to fix it. Please note i have reloaded the app / updated the softwear and the operating softwear and still no LUCK. appreciate your suggestions.

I can't get any of them to open!"Could not read the file because the plug-in could not understand this file."I have Illustrator CC 2018 - The files are saved as CS6 with no PDF or attached files embedded.
