Good morning, I’m sending this email, because I’m trying to open a file with 100MB, and appears a warming saying that Adobe Illustrator "could only partially read this file" and does not open the file with all content.Can you please help figure out the issue? Many Thanks, Mariana Quintela

SERIOUSLY - It's 2021 people and we still cannot save a template in Illustrator?? I work with A5 and A6 almost daily yet I cannot save it as a template. I am using Illustrator 2022.. Working in an iMac 2021 with M1 Silicon. I have looked at a million threads about this topic - when will Adobe ever release this feature? I have given myself permission to save in the "Cool Extras -> Templates" Folder AND "Cool Extras -> Templates -> Blank Templates Folder". Even when I save a template in here, it never shows in my new document window. Has ANYONE managed to get this working.  I read somehwere you can buy templates on Adobe Stock which will then show up there - HOWEVER I do not want someones design in my templates and having to clear their artwork everytime I open it. I just want a blank A5 and A6 template. Is it too much to ask???

The script for Adobe Illustrator automatically adds guides along the borders of selected objects and their sides: top, bottom, left or right. It processes several selected objects at once, calculating their combined borders, and creates guides covering the entire artboard. The script and instructions for installing it on the website ngolowin.ru or google docs

I am new to plugin development for illustrator 2019 CC SDK. I got matching throughsAIMatchingArt->GetMatchingArt(&pathSpec, 1, &matching, &artCount); and traversed it to get Art.I made a type check on the Art: sAIArt->GetArtType(art, type) != kNoErr, indicating that this is an invalid Art. So I cannot get the Bounds of this Art. At the same time, when I want to get the current active document, the returned result is "doc" error. AIDocumentHandle activeDoc = nullptr;ASErr err = sAIDocument->GetDocument(&activeDoc);The result of err is "doc", which means I cannot get the current active document.

I have a third party script installed that precisely measures color contrast. Currently to run it, I have to move my mouse up to File, click it, move it down to Scripts, click it, move it over to the script I want, and click it.  That isn't necessarily bad, but right now I'm working on developing a master color palette for my work that meets WCAG 2.0 guidelines for user-friendly readability and color contrast. That means to get the exact contrast between every combination of 8 colors (white, black, and 6 monochromatic shades), I have to run the script around 64 times. Plus a bajillion more once I start incorporating more than just 6 shades of one color. File > Scripts > The One I Want, therefore, quickly becomes tedious. I'd love to have something like one of the following I can use instead to quickly run the script:A Scripts panel.Custom keyboard shortcuts. Hi! I have been having trouble opening a file I made years ago. I guess I was excited about this project, and I put an exclaimation point in an AI file name (Learned my lesson there). Thats the only reason I can come up with as to why this file won't open. This file is from 2021, I have given up and retried many times to open it. I have: - Made a copy, saved as any file type I can think of - Taken all punctuation out, renamed files- Tried to open in PS, acrobat, even distiller for EPS formats- Tried to download a previous version of illustrator, they only offer the current and previous year. Besides digging out my old laptop to see if I can get anything to work on it, I'm out of options. This is a personal project file so its not like anything is at risk as far as client/job info, I just really would like to finish this project without starting over! Also I cannot upload the file to this forum even, because the file type is not supported. I really have no idea how I mana

I have an editable PDF that I use every time I send an invoice to my design clients - I used it two weeks ago and it worked perfectly fine. This time when I opened it in Illustrator (.pdf) it took a while to load and then once it finally opened, none of the editable text appeared. Please let me know if you have a solution or are having this problem as well. ------ If you would like the file please let me know, I am hesistant to share because of client names / dollar amounts

Is it possible to have a javaScript for Adobe Illustrator that when run on an open document will find all broken text strings and merge them? If there are multiple text strings in separate locations keep them where they originate.There are no text boxes in most documents. only single lined text.

I can find the location of ‘pathItems’ and I can find the location of ‘compoundPathItems’, but how do I combine the two scripts so I get the location of all the pathItems and all the compoundPathItems in one script??I am sharing a highly reduced version of the relevant part of my code. I have been having this problem ever since the update to, i believe either Catalina or Sequoia. I create files with the same jpg image linked multiple times to the same illustration. What i used to do when i needed to link a different file was hide the original file. A window would then come up asking if i wanted to link them one at a time or "relink all", which is what i would always choose. Now with the upgrade i have to navigate to the folder where the new linked file is, and double click on it many many times until all the jpgs are relinked. Sometimes over 40 freaking times! Nothing i've read in these posts has helped and i'm wondering why the heck would Adobe take away a feature that was used and available for years and years, with no workaround! I've been using Illustrator since version 2.5 (somewhere around 30 years!) and have never been so frustrated with this software!  PLEASE HELP! 

Illustrator keeps not responding after the newer version up to date. Had tried to update to latest mac os problem still unsolved. it consumed a lot of memory, last time I could work on ps and indd together, but these few days I only can run ai at 1 time, and it would suddenly not responding, or auto shut down, now more worst is whole screen freeze and restart. and the recovered file always back to the beginning, even I had saved several times, but it still gone. please help!

I've designed a label for an ice cream company that has establised dielines and I've gotten design approval but I need to curve it for the printer. I have the original design file and they have the old labels done flat and then top shape warped them to a 15% bent rectangle but when I follow the same steps the design is distorted, what am I doing wrong?

I'm three days new to Illustrator. And I'm trying to put the rectangles together without  the black lines. But keeping the old Astros color scheme. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm working on a file that has a large number of icons on it but would like to convert those icons into symbols to create a symbol library. However, when selecting multiple icons to create new symbols, it just creates one grouped symbol.Is there a way to select multiple objects and have them convert into individual symbols?

HiI've been having a recurring problem - and I BELIEVE IN ALL ADOBE SOFTWARE - but especially in Illustrator which is what I use 99% of the time (but I've had the same problem in Photoshop)Initially I thought it was a problem with my hardware - but I bought a NEW machine -TOP OF THE LINE:INTEL CORE ULTRA 9 285K with 96GB of RAMand I still have the same problem:COPY + PASTE works only when the software wants it to.SOMETIMES OKSOMETIMES NOT.Sometimes I click COPY+PASTE - and done. works.Sometimes I click COPY+PASTE - and no PASTE. I open the menu EDIT> and no "COPY" too (EDIT menu doesn't have the option "PASTE" - it's "off" = gray) - I need to click, click, click, click - for the "COPY" works and then the "PASTE" option turns "on".any idea?

Hi, I desperate need help on this.When I export my artwork as jpg or png, the colour doesn't match the one in working file. I have tried compare the colour setting with my colleagues, we have the same setting, but the outcome is different.Not sure what's the problem, but everytime i open up a working file, this pop up will appear.

Up until last week I have never experienced an issue with the AI generation feature. But half way through the day it stopped completing a piece. Whole segments of the image are missing.   I've noticed that if I raise the detail level it's fine, but when I reduce the details (to medium) then legs or hands or half the face are no longer completed. All my AI settings are on default and I've never had an issue with it until now. Below is a clear example of a generation failing. The one on the right is the same but with higher detail and that worked.   I've tried deleting Scratch Disk AI files from the /library/preference/etc etc folder but all that has done is saved me HD space it hasn't fixed anything.   I'm using Illustrator Version: 29.4 on a a Apple M1 Ulta running Sequoia 15.4.1       <Title renamed by MOD>  

When I export an artboard as an SVG from a particular file (attached), using either Save As or Export for screens, Illustrator is including a metadata tag and a c2pa:manifest child tag, which includes an enormous string value:  I've been exporting files like this for ages without this happening, so I've either changed something or Illustrator has updated and started doing this, but I can't figure out how to prevent it (I don't want to have to remove this every time I export an SVG).If I create a NEW file and export it as an SVG, this does not happen.  

I have loads of apparent errors in Illustrator.My shapes never align to where they're supposed to. Ref screenshot, that's a solid shape but there's a descrrepency between the line and the fill.This goes away if I change to "view on CPU", but illustrator isn't workable in this mode.I have a pretty robust Apple Silicon M2 Max Mac, so am confused what's happening.Is my shape wrong, do Ii need to redraw it, or is my illustrator wrong?
