I'm not sure if this bug still exists in the latest versions of Adobe Illustrator. It's not critical, but it's annoying and can waste time while you're trying to figure out what's wrong. The issue is that when a project contains a lot of guide lines, and you delete one or several of them using Direct Selection instead of Selection, only the lines are removed—while the anchor points at the ends of the guides, as seen in the screenshot, remain.This doesn’t cause any issues during regular work, but when you try to export a large-format image—for example, 5 meters wide at 150 dpi or higher to PNG—the program would crash every time.Experiments showed that for some reason, Illustrator seemed to treat those leftover points as part of the artwork and couldn’t handle the load, especially on a canvas size of 5780×5780 mm, even if your design was much smaller on one side. Pie chart only works in greyscale which is not very usable.If I switch it to RGB or CMYK and apply data to it all sections are are made with foreground color, effectively making a solid circle. This seems like a bug. I can't find information on anybody else having this problem.

Hi there,  I googled this issue and found the member "GAMBOT" having a similar experience with objects randomly duplicating themselves. I followed the suggested solution of resetting Ai preferences, restarting Ai and even rebooting computer. This has not fixed the problem.  When I press ANY key (e.g. Z to zoom in and out to view my work) or click of the mouse, objects and even texts randomly duplicate themselves and are unable to be deleted. Unless, I manually select the object(s) and Edit > Clear. But the objects or texts still manage to repeat the process of duplicating themselves and are unable to be deleted. Hi Adobe team,Could you please consider adding the ability to rotate the canvas in Illustrator the same way it's available in Photoshop? It's incredibly useful for drawing and refining shapes from different angles.Also, it would be great if we could pan the canvas using the Spacebar while actively drawing, just like in Photoshop. Currently, this breaks the flow and makes precise drawing more difficult.Thanks a lot for considering these improvements! Daniel

I have Artboard Options Presets that have inaccurate names (I'm learning the app and made errors), and I would like to delete them, as they confuse me. The dimensions are for Bluesky but the preset label is for Twitter. How can I delete these Presets? I'm using Illustrator 29.3.1 for Mac. Thank you in advance for your help. 

Does anyone know how to export a PDF to DWG to proper scale?

Hi there,I have a Spot colour setup in my library for cutting dielines. However time to time it removes the "Spot" values and changes the spot colour to regular process. Causing dielines to be shown in print. Has anyone else had this issue? Or any solutions?Thanks,   

Normalmente, eu crio um arquivo com várias pranchetas com tamanho diferentes e na hora de finalizar eu exporto tudo junto para ser mais prático. Notei que os arquivos em JPG, PNG ou PSD estão saindo com 1 pixel a mais do tamanho original. Exemplo, a prancheta tem 600x600px e o JPG exportado está com 601x601px. Alguém sabe o que pode estar acontecendo? Valeu!

Hello Adobe Community,I have encountered a strange issue with Adobe Illustrator when generating multiple artboards, and I wanted to share it here to see if others have experienced the same problem and if there is a known solution.When creating artboards within Illustrator, I noticed that the program assigns the number 6 twice, while completely skipping 5 in the internal numbering. As I continue adding artboards, the issue persists—when reaching 12, Illustrator does not generate it and instead creates two instances of 13. This pattern continues inconsistently across multiple artboards. version 29.3.1 Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is this a known bug, or is there a workaround to ensure proper sequential numbering?Looking forward to hearing your insights and possible solutions!Thanks in advance.

I'm currently running Adobe Illustrator 2025 on a MacBook Pro using OS Ventura 13.2.1. As of today, Illustrator immediately freezes for upwards of 8 minutes and starts running over 100% of CPU when trying to open a 33.2MB file. It's not remotely the largest file I have (I have files over 8GB that load just fine) has no linked or embedded files, and I haven't made any changes to the file before thie started happening yesterday, but it's the only file that does this. I restarted Illustrator and restarted my computer and this hasn't made it stop. Any ideas?

We have an Adobe Illustrator file that was created 10 years ago by a third party. We're looking to update or recreate the character to match today's technology advances. Currently, the image is very blurry when zoomed in. Any ideas on how to accomplish this in house? We have all Adobe products. 

When I copied and pasted a figure from Graphpad, all the fonts in the figures messed up. How to solve this problem? Thanks!

Hello Community!  My Adobe Illustrator crashed on my mac and all the files I had opened that weren't saved are gone. Trying to go back find them, but unable. I know Adobe has a great feature where it auto saves adn"recovers" files in Recovery cache. But, everytime I close the app and open it up it shows the files are recovered and I click "OK" to try and retrieve them, but nothing happens.   Any help would be great, I took a lot of time working on these files. Thanks,Carl

I was having nothing but problems trying to export even a simple file to DWG or DXF format. had tried everything I could think of, until I finally tried to change the destination folder - previously I was trying to use a subfolder under my OneDrive's folder on a Windows machine, everything just gave back an error 2067 (which I assume is a generic error from the AutoCAD libraries Adobe must use here, since a lot of people get it importing/exporting/etc) but then I just tried saving the desktop, voila 🤷‍♂

Hi I am trying to get illustrator to scale using decimal points. I add 40.35% for example, but when I scale, the decimal point disappears and its become 4035%.Is there somewhere in preferences that allows me to allow decimal points e.g. 30.456%.Thanks Steve

When saving a simple design as an SVG, the saved version has moved anchor points/handles in some spots. This is a text design that I converted to outlines, edited, then expanded. It only seems to happen with saving as SVG, PDF's are fine and I can export it as an SVG. My knowledge of AI is pretty basic but I haven't run into this issue before.

So I'm a Windows user, working in a CMYK color mode, using ISO coated v2_eci as my ICC profile, since my work is for printing. My problem is that when I use the color picker on certain colors, the color the picker shows me is not the color that the object I'm working on shows.Like this: As you see, the color picker shows a different color, like a greenish orange. The thing is, that when I pick this color and apply it to other figures, these figures get the color that the original art shows, not the color that the color picker shows. So even though this doesn't actually affect my workflow, I'm afraid of what will happen when I send my work to print, will the colors be printed as the color picker shows me, or as I see them? I've been working with this ICC profile and color space for a while, and didn't have this problem until 5 days agoHelp please!!I'll appreciate anny comments on this,Thanks!

Is there a way to adjust the paint bucket so it will fill a section that has a gap, or doesn't completely close? I don't need it to close really big gaps, but just bigger than what it's doing right now. Thanks.

I am working in an .ai file that I have saved frequently before. Suddenly when I try to save the file, I get an error that reads "an unknown error has occurred" and the file won't save at all, anywhere. I have not seen this error message before and have had no issues opening or saving the file up until this point.I need to have the file as an .ai file (not .eps or any other format). I am working in Illustrator CC (2015.3) and using macOS Sierra.
