Questions

Hi,I can make a object, do some warping or transforming, and it looks good. Then If I try to rotate it later, it distorts unpredictably. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.I started with a shape made with the Rounded Rectangle tool.Applied a Warp Effect.The resulting warped image looks fine.When that image gets rotated later using the Selection Tool, it weirds out.

I do not want anything to auto save. If I wanted to save, I would use the save button.Am I missing something?There is no way to disable the auto save when you close a document.Yes, I have disabled everything related to auto saving in the preferences and file handling, but it will still auto save when closed.

I am running Mac OS X Mojave and the up-to-date Illustrator from Creative Cloud. For some reason lately I've been having trouble doing simple color changes with objects. Yesterday I had a layer that was a bunch of paths that were all the same color, and when I would select them all and change the fill (whether it be from the toolbar or the Color panel), it would show that the fill color changed in the Appearance panel, but the color didn't actually change at all. When I select all the paths and go to Edit Colors, It shows that both the old and new colors exist in the selection. When I use the magnifying glass icon in the Edit Colors panel to click on colors above and see where the colors exist on my artboard, it only shows the new color exists, despite actually being colored with the old color. Today I am having the same issue with a Type layer. It is black, and when I use the eyedropper or try any other method of changing the fill color, it remains black despite the Appearance panel r

You never know what you'll get using Adobe Illustrator in 2025. Here's a peek at today's nightmare. Please don't bother offering solutions. Tomorrow it will be an entirely different nightmare. 

I have a suggestion for the magic wand tool.In many cases i whish i could restirct it to only one (active) artboard. That would help a lot if you want to try out and change colors of objects or other attributes in ONE artboard, and not in all. The other thing is: it would be great to change the basic settings ALWAYS to 0 and not to 32.  Best Jakub 

How do you edit the text in the photo stock images? And by that I mean change the text not just change the color and size, position etc. I mean it says like "put your name here".  I have searched the forums and online and not been able to find the answer to this. What is the use of having these templates if you can't change the text without recreating everything. I am a self-taught novice with the use of photoshop and illustrator but I can usually figure it out or find the answers online.  I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this problem. Lately ive been having some troubles with the pen tool and text layers. Pen tool just jumps to another point while tracing i needed to shutdown my computer multiple times cause i wasnt able to finish a simple form, everytime i would close the path the pen jumped to any other point.The other problem is about text layers, it keeps making me only select the top layer like i have 2 text layers side by side but when i click the one on the right it selects the one on the left cause it is the top layer it makes no sense at all.Well, has anyone ever came across to something similar? or should i start assuming my work computer is just gone? It isnt even the first time, like every day there is a nonsense bug on my adobe programs. Its completely out of hand and is getting into my workflowGuess how many times ive reinstalled haha

This font issue seems to be originating in Adobe programs on Windows 10. I was given a file from a Mac version of Adobe Illustrator. I have worked between Windows and Mac and back again on a weekly basis at my previous job and font recognition has not been an issue. The file that was given to me was a packaged file with a "Fonts" folder containing multiple .ttf and .otf fonts which I installed on my Windows 10 PC. The Avenir Next font family was packaged in a .ttc file which I have never seen before. After installation on my PC it says that there are 12 font faces and it shows up when I go in the folder in Settings and in Control Panel.But when I go into the AI file I was given, all of the font family shows up except for Avenir Next Bold, which it shows as missing. This is true in every Adobe program I have tried ie. Photoshop, and InDesign so far.This is incredibly frustrating and upsetting especially because I emailed the person who sent me the file and they said that they

Does anyone know how I can export a logo to a .plt file using AI CS4 (or any CS4 program)?  I need to have a logo laser etched on products and the only file format that the program accepts is .plt.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Mel

Hello - I've created a Javscript that does a lot of things, including exporting this open document in .PDF format.It works… It's just that every time Acobat is launched and it opens the freshly exported .PDF. My question:Via Javascript, is there any way to prevent Acrobat launching each time? If so, what is this function/command?Is is via this? Hello Friends,Why Object > Repeat doesn't work with placed .psd file of image 

The problem occured when I was making an icon with a size of 44x44 pixels, to which I added drop shadow (detailed information: 72% Opacity, 3px X Offset, 3px Y Offset, 3px Blur). With these settings, exporting my icons in SVG format was working for quite a long time. I program an C++-plugin which does the following:Modify the colors of ElementsChange the ICC-Profile of the documentwrite settings to the XMP of the documentWhen calling Undo for the is plugin, it changes back the colors, but the Profile and the XMP-changes were not undone. How to tell Illustrator that all of these steps should be reverted when calling Undo?

Hi,Very puzzled here.I made a YouTube profile image exactly to 800x800px.Tried to upload both Jpg and PNG but still it looks blurred.Please help me what I am doing wrong. You can compare how crips the text on my screen compared to my image .

Is it possible to clone an object/image in illustrator? Not just copy and paste or use a stamp, but have the user be able to click on the object and have it clone or dublicate, and then move the copies anywhere?

If I use "Object>Path>Add anchor points" it will add anchors in every segment of the path I just need one anchor on one segment. I cannot add multiple points and delete the unwanted ones because it will deform the path in other areas.This picture is just an example, not my actual work. I just switched to Illustrator from Inkscape, there is a dedicated button for this purpose in Inkscape, there must be something similar in Illustrator.Thanks in advance for your help.

Need some help here. When I copy text and paste it into illustrator it pastes vertically and in an extremely long line. I think it's pasting as an object because when I tried to shrink the box then the text shrinks as well. Also wanted to mention that I'm copying a paragraph and when I paste it it pastes only a sentence. Not sure why this is happening when my "paste without formatting" is off and this problem has never happened before until today. 

I can see the bounding box on my object (a square) but as soon as I click the ruler to pull over a guide, the bounding box disappears. That did not happen in past versions of Illustrator. Can anyone help me figure out how to retain the bounding box visibility while setting a guide? I have the bounding box set with a center point. Not using Smart Guides. Screen recording attached.

Being getting this error message every time I try to load an image to Illustrator. A small image, in this case only 227 KB, Geforce 3060 GPU, 32.9 GB free space in disk C:, nothing running in the background.  Illustrator is up-to-date, have uninstalled, removed all preferences then reinstalled. Problem remains. It's often fine when the image is in its original size:Then when I try to scale down the image, it shows "can't finish previewing"and turn white  I have asked a couple of people experienced with the program and they all tell me they have never seen this issue. (the image is my cat that I'm trying to make a key chain of. He's totally fine
