Questions

When I make my design and print directly from Illustrator there is no problem, but when I save it as a PDF the design on the PC is correct but when I print it there is an area that does not print well.

For two weeks now, I've been trying to experiment a bit with the AI, and every single time, I keep getting the same error. "We're experiencing high demand. Please wait and retry your prompt soon. Thank you for your patience."     Is there a solution for this? Or is it just for show?        

Hi,When printing on a digital printer, only on black, there is a ghost box around objects that have Drop Shadow effect.Is there a way to get rid of it (without having to rasterize the file)?Thanks in advance

Hello,I have created multiple different files in illustrator v27 to v29, even tried beta. I create digital drawings from photos with my own custom brushes. I have used the elipse tool to create a tapered line art stroke and used the elipse tool to create a feathered brush with the elipse tool, a small solid circleinside a transparent large circle, which I blended using the blending mode with specified steps of 100. No matter how many times I recreate the brushes or start new artwork, the same "PARM" error message happens or "there was an error in applying brush stroke". I can work around by doing a single brush stroke, waiting for it to load and saving my work every 20-30 seconds, else when it inevitably crashes I lose my work. If I do more than one or multiple strokes in quick succession illustrator "not responding" and greyed out screen appears and I have to kill the program externally or through the tab right click close (though this sometimes doesn't work). My settings/preferences

Isolate selecting function is very useful for entire work.But after updated to 2025 version,I realized it's only working when I was working with a path, not group.When making group, the function disappears from mouse right click options. Very very inconvenient to use.And I think Adobe doesn't realize this problem. Please correct this as soon as possible. Thank you.

I am not really sure how to describe what is happening. The fill and stroke are not working. If I fill a shape with a color, the stroke will link with it. I can't make changes to just the fill or the shape (see video attachment). Any suggestions?Illustrator version: 29.1Shared/device licenseMacos 15.2Thanks! Carlos Munoz

Hello,I need to add eyelet guides to artwork of various sizes. I’m trying to create a patterned line where the 'eyelet' marks stay the same size and maintain equal spacing, regardless of how much the line is scaled. Does anyone know how to achieve this? Thanks in advance!

We do a lot of graphics for dirtbikes and so often times there are objects with multiple gradients in them. All of the artwork is inside of a clip group as well. When we go to create out print sheets and nest all of the objects some gradients will not rotate properly. This happens randomly and I have found no way to resolve this. Ideas? 

Hi All,When applying a graphic in the 'Materials' section of the new '3d and Materials' feature, the applied graphic appears aliased / pixelated. The graphic is set up as a Symbol and no matter how large you make the original symbol or how high res you render the 3d object it makes no difference. The weird thing is the old 3d feature does not have this problem, see screengrab attached. Does anyone know how to resolve this, I've tried everything I can think of. I can't find anything online about this, which I am surprised. 

what does this mean? Is the file corrupt? When I created it, I exported it as a svg. Should I saved as?  

I previously saved this as a svg. in illustrator. When I opened it I recieved this error code.I think I exprorted it as a svg. vs save as svg.?  Is that the issue? Is the document corrupt?  

I am trying to add an "inflate" effect to some colored objects and when I apply the "inflate" 3d type, it leaves all the other options grayed out and unusable. See screenshot. How can I actually apply the other options in this window?  

Bonjour à tous,Je rencontre un soucis pour la création de l'une de mes bannières à destination de wordpress créée avec illustrator. J'ai exporté puis importé ma créa au format svg pour obtenir un rendu quali et complètement net.C'est un format que je n'utilise jamais donc que je ne maitrise pas. En effet, la bannière pèse 1,8 mo ce qui est énorme pour un site wordpress. On recommande des images à 500 ko max. Auriez-vous des conseils et astuces pour réduire au maximum son poids ? Hello,I'm encountering an issue with transparency in Adobe Illustrator, particularly when working with gradients and images that have transparent backgrounds. Instead of displaying the intended transparency, the transparent areas are appearing white.Interestingly, when I save the document as an Adobe PDF or assign the color profile to sRGB (I'm working in a CMYK workspace for print), the transparency appears as expected.Screenshots attached. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any insights or suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!Thank you!

This has been a frustration of mine for a few weeks now -- not sure if a setting got changed but if I go to click into some text to change the content and begin typing, the style of the font of what I'm typing changes - sometimes it's the font weight, color, etc.Is there a way to set my default back to "Match Text Formatting" when editing existing text so that the styling stays the same?

Hi all,  I'm working with variables in Illustrator to design question-and-answer cards for a board game. Some questions are only one line long, while others are two lines. Is there a way to auto-format, so that one-line questions center on the shape and two-line questions fill the space better? Attached are some examples. Thanks!

We use Illustrator for printing purposes and often we will set up "templates" that have multiple items, all of the same size. Back in version 26 I could select multiple links in the links panel and click on "Relink" and this would queue up a whole bunch of prompts so I could replace each linked image with anything I liked. Now it seems I have to go in and do this 1 link at a time. Not only does this take much, much longer to do, it also seems to perform this action way slower than it used to. If I have a 4'x8' sheet with say, 10-20 linked images... how can I do the following:A) Replace all links with a new image without doing them 1 at a time, or deleting and re-stepping them out.B) Replace "some" of the links with one image, and the rest of the links with another image. The changes surrounding links have drastically slowed down our production pipeline due to having to spend hours on this, instead of minutes. Please advise.

Hi There, upgraded to Illustrator 29.1 but some prefs didn't come over - have also tried manually replacing but no joy. Where is the preference to enable the previous zoom where you draw a rectangle instead of realtime dragging? Any help much appreciated. Cheers, Ben

Hello i have a problem that i can't solve. Actually, the problem is i have kept 20 to 25 designs in one adobe illustrator file. Now when i open the file there is show blank file not any design that. So how can i solve this problem please help me. If the problem solve i will be so benifit.

Hi there and Happy New Year, Looking for some help to combine multiple objects into a single object for laser cutting.I am trying to create a roof line for a model I am scratch build. To do so, I drew a compound path shape (source two triangles), 4 elipses and used the Shaper Tool to cut away unwanted sections to the objects. The end result yielded the following:Upon closed inspection, I can see that the various objects after cutting away the unwanted portions, still seem to be individual objects.However, I cannot select these or group these using the pathfinder mode and 'unite' the items.When burning this object on m laser cutter, it sees these items as individual objects and burns as such.How do I combine these items into a single object?  Any help is much appreciated,-Tiest

I have traced the image, expanded it and worked on the lines etc, and now i want the logo in other colors as well... I do the recolor, but nothing happens :C help! im a beginner

when trying to preview different fonts in AI i am unable to scroll through them using the arrow keys, it just doesnt move... can anyone tell me whats wrong? im sure its pretty simple but i have no idea how to fix it...if it can be fixed... oh im using cs3 and a mac on os x leopard
