Hi. Hopefully, someone can help me with this. I'm working on a project with multiple citations/references, and when I copy-paste the text from Google Docs into Illustrator, the superscript and subscript formats don't work, so I had to manually change those back. Is there a way to preserve the superscript and subscript formats when copy-pasting into Illustrator? Thanks!

I'm using a Dell with Windows 10, 2.9 GHz processer, 64 GB of RAM, and plenty of spare disk space.  I finally upgraded to Illustrator 2020 and when I start the computer, open Illustrator, the computer will shutdown within ten minutes.  Does matter if I'm editing a .ai file for not.  This happens in a minute or two I have other programs open (Chrome, Word, etc).  Task Manger starts to Memory and Disk go to almost 100% before shutdown.  My system meets the spec requirements.  Any ideas?     {Renamed by MOD}

I've recently purchased a plan for adobe softwares. So I'm trying to install the Illustrator.As it was mentioned in the Illustrator system requirements the currently supporting windows OS version is Windows 11 v22H2 and v21H2, Windows 10 v22H2 and v21H2.However, the version I'm using is Windows 11 Version 23H2.When I'm visiting the download page, I'm getting a message saying, "Update required | If you would like to install Illustrator, you must update your system."I mean isn't the software, the one that's outdated?If yes, I don't think I can downgrade my windows, just for installing it.How do I get it installed in my PC now?

I was working with some images copied form my desktop when I decided to close Illustrator, a minute later I decided to opet in again to change some things and BOOM, I couldnt move any items in Illustrator using the mouse, I can only move them using the arrow keys. Even if I open up a new document and place in a new object, I cannot open it, so it is not a problem specific to my file. None of my objects are locked. I do not have any hidden dialouges. I've already tried restarting Illustrator, resetting my preferences, etc. I could move things before but now It just decided that It doesnt wanna let me do that, Windows error sound can be heard in the background but nothing else is showing up. 

I am using ExtendScript as part of a cross-platform application such as Tauri or Electron. Is it possible to save swatches that can be opened up for use in any Illustrator file

I recently updated to Illustrator 2025 and since doing so, when I go to extend a line by dragging an anchor, it is no longer snapping to the "Line Extension". I have verified that the correct preferences are checked under Preferences> Smart Guides> Anchor/ Path Labels.  Any help on this would be great thanks!

Hello! So I work for a sports apparel design company and we we are trying to find out is if there is a way we can essentially take an art design/template in illustrator, and then reproduce that same same template for a number of different college and professional teams without having to manually change the template for each team? We would have a database of all different forms of verbiage and pms colors  relating to the schools and teams and would like illustrator to be able to take that information and then input it in the template and then export an AI file for each team. Any help is appreciated and let me know if you need more information or if I am making sense! 

The objects in the GIF are all based on simple rectangles, there are no stray anchor points or overlapping anchor points. When I select them individually, I can round the corners, even with smaller groups of shapes I can see the corner widget. But as soon as I select a larger group the widget disappears and I can't round the corners anymore. I already tried:- Different zoom factors- setting the anchor point size to max- showing corner widget is activated in View aswell Not sure how to fix this.

you can use this process to build other acb files. its pretty straightforward. Lab values must be used. Lab values are pulled from photoshop directly to most closely emulate web appearance. you can replace with your own Lab values via spreadsheet formula or third party source. for my project 6, when I try to click the create warped text button for the After School Arts program layer, it shows that it is disabled.  I don't know how can I use this option if it is not available. Please help.

Hi, new to illustrator here. I was wondering how to make the border or bonding box of text and objects visible, always. So that when I'm not working or selecting said item, I can still see it's border (I don't want to add a border/ stroke, I just want to make the bounding box visible for me, like how objects & text have a border in indesign). Only showing black/white paths, not the lines and coloring I've done---how do I revert back???

I just wanted to say, IMHO, the latest version of Illustrator is a disaster. To make a login screen mockup, I placed a clipping path on an image and went to overlay text and some vector boxes (username and password form fields). Illustrator proceeded to lock/group the entire object so that editing was super difficult. To see if I could overcome this issue by placing the clipped image on a separate layer that I could lock. When I moved it to the new layer, it converted the text to vectors and now, I have to retype and format the text. What a mess. I never once grouped any of these objects.  I have been using Illustrator since version 1998, so I have a good idea of how a vector editing tool should behave. Something that should have taken 10 seconds has turned into this rant.
