Hello guys, how ı can change the mouse scroll wheel keyboard shortcut? Now ı use option and mouse scroll, but ı would change to command. Command and mouse scroll how ı can make it? Thanks.

 

I've recently set up a new Mac server and I'm having an issue where Illustrator creates duplicate files when saving. They have a strange prefix similar a temp file, but have an .ai suffix and when I try to delete I get the 'file in use' error message. I tried restarting the server, files still there and still cant delete them. Anyone had a similar issue? Screenshot attached for reference. Running Illustrator version 27.01 on a 2021 Macbook Pro in Monterey. Server is running Mojave.  

Hello, I am at my wits' end with Illustrator. The app keeps crashing- sometimes once I try to print, sometimes randomly. I've spoken to adobe agents and tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating, as well as deleting other possibly conflicting apps off my laptop (wacom tablet, all printers, etc). I had been using illustrator 2025 (29.1), then on agent advice switched back to 2024, then back to 2023. All are having the same issue. One thing that strikes me as particularly odd is that all three applications seem unable to store anything I input (ie settings). Every pop up window I select "do not ask me again" seems to forget this and continually asks me again. My recent files are only showing one design from two years ago, none more recent. Autosave is temperamental, sometimes when relaunching things reappear, mostly though they're lost. What do I do to resolve this? I need a functioning Illustrator, and am losing days of work and of my life trying! Any advice wo

Hello everyone. I was working on an illustrator file and did everything necessary to save the files correctly. I can now see the preview of the files, but the date is missing as soon as I open the file. I am attaching screenshots. I have tried data recovery on my computer, where it saves data recovery files, but the file is not there. It might be because I worked directly on the file while saving on a memory stick and not directly on the PC.  is there a way I can retrieve the data? 

Recently, I updated Illustrator from 22.0 to 23.0, and when I first started using the new version, the user experience for creating/resizing shapes, among many other things, had changed. Now, I can't resize shapes once I've created them without going into the Transform panel.Above is me selecting a circle in Adobe Illustrator 22 for a tutorial. And this is what happens when I select a circle in the latest version. I have tried everything but I still can't resize it without going to the Transform panel, which I find very inconvinent.Also, I noticed the background colour of the document (outside the artboard) had changed to white, even though I didn't change the settings for this to happen.In an attempt to solve this problem, I followed the instructions on the Adobe website to reset the settings back to the default. This didn't change anything.I don't know any other way to solve this problem apart from to downgrade back to Adobe Illustrator 22.1, although I am prepared to go even further

Bonjour,Je rencontre un problème assez gênant sur Illustrator (version 29.1).Lorsque je sélectionne un objet avec l'outil de sélection (V), le cadre de sélection met environ 3 secondes à s'afficher, ce qui ralentit considérablement mon flux de travail.J’ai tenté plusieurs solutions sans succès :Désinstallation et réinstallation d’Illustrator.Retour à une version antérieure du logiciel (v28.0).Le problème persiste dans tous les cas. Une solution temporaire consiste à cliquer et glisser pour sélectionner une zone incluant l'objet, ce qui fonctionne immédiatement. Cependant, cela complique certaines manipulations comme l'édition de texte ou les ajustements précis, car le retard provoque souvent des erreurs ou des décalages lorsque je déplace la souris.Avez-vous déjà rencontré ce problème ou connaissez-vous une solution ? Illustrator was working fine for me all last week and I've never had a problem using the selection tool to grab and resize my objects but for some reason today my selection tool will only SELECT objects, not resize them.  Upon approaching the corner of an object, the black arrow remains but a small white square appears at the bottom right instead of the entire cursor turning into resizing/rotating arrows.  I tried restarting my computer to no avail.  It happens on objects I create as well as objects that I place in.  Any thoughts...?  Thank you!

Hi All,  I have come up with some custom designs that i want to turn into SVG's but I really struggle with the adobe suite. If possible, I am looking for someone to translate these designs with illustrator and teach me the process at the same time, please. I am more than happy to pay for your time, if required. The designs are fairly simple. Thanks, T

I have an object that when i try to apply the Color pencil effect, no matter what it just grays or blacks out.  However, when i appy the grain effect, it works as expected.About 50% of the effects work as expected, 50% do not.  What am I doing wrong? No matter the object. No matter what. I have checked the colors to make sure it was not on grayscale. My computer is more than capable enough to render complex graphics, so I do not understand what I am doing wrong here. Any help would be very very appreciated! Cheers,Bob

I had a custom illustration created that contains a scene with characters.The final AI file doesnt have the characters each in their own layer where I can select them and isolate or do other thigns with them. Instead, its all one layer and everything is a path or compound path. Its like a bunch of small shapes that make up the image and different parts of the scene are scatter around.It seems strange to me but I am able to work in photoshop and not in Illustrator.Is this common? Doe the method have a name that i can search to find out more on it

Hello there people! Im new to adobe, i've watched lots of tutorials and How-to's buuut can't find a solution to something.... Im practicing with making some kind of a flyer/brochure and i want to make a line on a background but when i cut the line that hangs from background piece this happens ... how do i fix this?1. the hanging part of the line out side of the background?2. the black triangle that is happening?Thanks in advance! 🙂

Hello thereI am recording an action titled " Rasterize to Vector" The idea is to ceate a single action that converts an object with strokes and text and shapes into a single vector object:Step 1: Create new set -> Name and Record -> Rasterize with a white bg Step 2: Select Image Tracing - DefaultStep 3: Select Image Tracing options -> Toggle down "Advanced" arrow - Select "Ignore Color" -> i drop the white bg -> Close panel -> Select "Expand" -> End recordWhen I do this action while I record it completely removes the bg while converting the object int to a solid detailed vector. However when playing it back it gets as far as converting the rasterised image with the white bg into a vector with the white back ground still present.- The action is not recording the Advanced drop down squence where I select Igonring Color and selecting the white bg section to be removed. Any solutions of this issue? Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi, first post from me. I'm looking for help with a question I have in using Illustrator. I have a series of five labels for honey jars. The bulk of the text and graphics are the same for each jar, its just colour and a small amount of text that changes. I want to set up a label template that I can use that has the "standard" layout for the label, colour swatches, etc for me to just change what's required. I want to ensure that all the labels are essenially the same size fonts and link to logo files consistently. Can anyone recommend a manual or better still a YouTube video that covers this topic? Thanks in advance,Alun

Hello! I’m curious about how to create a T-shirt design like the one in the photo. The gradient or sunset overlay isn’t my issue, but rather how some words are written larger, and then directly next to them, a few smaller words are in two lines.Do I need to use hundreds of individual text boxes and adjust them manually, or does anyone have an idea on how this could be done more easily? Thanks a lot for your help! 

Just yesterday my assets started exporting with a white background instead of transparent. I can't figure out what the heck happened. In the preview, it has a transparent baxckground, but everything is coming out with a white background. Help pleaseeee!   

Hello,I've got an artboard in A4 format with two images at the top.The images, a JPEG of high resolution 3000 x 1500 for one a TIFF more than 4000px for the other,  placed on the artboard.When I export for screens, as PDF, the resulting PDF has the images pixelated / compressed / look really bad.The text is perfectly sharp, everything is sharp but the images are terrible.This is a link to my screenshot for a better resolution as to see what I'm saying.Screen Shot 2018-03-11 at 18.52.10.jpg I've tried changing the scale in the formats, but when PDF is selected the scale drop down and suffix columns are grayed out.If I export for Screens as JPEG2000 and select 300ppi for the scale there is no issue.Here is a screenshot of the resultNon pixelated image.jpg I could definitely export at Jpeg and then convert to PDF in other application, but is there a way to export a PDF from illustrator without affecting the picture qualities. ?

I have created a signature in Illustrator. The signature consists of multiple layers, layers I want to merge down to one layer, but I can't. What do I have to do? In the image, there are two signatures. And also... Before I merge it I want to recolor it and make it more visible. How can I do that after I have made it and before I merge it and save it? The correct thing to do is stretch it back up with black. How do I do that? If it makes any difference, I wrote the signature with a Wacom drawing tablet. The signature consists of 5 layers, while the 5th. is the signature logo. I Hope this makes meaning. I am grateful for answers with solutions.

I have mutliple artboards in a file.. I saved each artboard seperately and when I open the file it blank and I can't use any other tools aswell pencil tool with error is shown for all the tools..Help me I have deadline today 😭

I oulined the font in illustrator then exported the file as a jpg. The oulined fonts are not showing up in mu jpg file.When I save the file as a PDF and i send the file out to press, the fonts are veiwable in the pdf but when my printer prints the file the fonts are not viewable. The font am using is Myriad Pro. 

Hi,I am designing simple vector graphics in Illustrator for a book layout. There is a specific size that they need to be, but I was wondering if it’s necessary to design them at 1.5x or 2x the size. I read that somewhere but am not sure if this is relevant to my project.Thank you!

Can anyone tell why this stroke overlapping is happening, it just started doing this recently in illustrator. Before this never happened and it is happening with almost every font type I use. I tried fixing it but I am not able to else I have to lose the editability.  

Switched to an 2024 M4 Max Macbook Pro running Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B2091).Installed Illustrator v29.1. Every click within illustrator is delayed by a 4-5 seconds.  Double clicks cause a loading spinner. I tried downgrading to 28.0, but the problem still exists.It's effectively useless.

Hello, CC users. Has anyone had any issues with the CC applications on Mac OS lately? Illustrator and InDesign are terribly slow, especially in the selection tool and moving objects. I have the latest version of MacOS and Creative Cloud. Downgrading to an older version of Illustrator does not help.
