I'm experiencing extremely slow response times when placing an image in Ai from Bridge. When I go to Bridge, select an image, and go to File>Place in Illustrator, it takes 20 to 30 minutes before Ai becomes responsive again. Placing the same image from the CC Library or from within Ai (using File>Place) is normal. Here's what happens... Mac OS I have Ai running on a separate workspace as Bridge In Bridge I select the asset and go to File>Place in Illustrator The Ai icon bounces and I hear an error ping from the OS. Some Ai tool bars and paletts appear on the Bridge workspace screen, but the OS does not switch workspaces. I manually switch to the Ai workspace and the graphic appears on screen with a bounding box but Ai stopps responding for about 20 minutes or more. The system itself continues to respond. Hello.I got my new mac few days ago and I have some problem In Illustator.Everything works fine and fast in Illustrator.But when I try to ungroup or unlock the objects, it freezes for a moment and took so long.Anyone have same issue with me? Please help me if you know how to fix this problem

My illustrator is acting really strange, any time I hover over a tool my entire screen turns black twice until the tool preview shows up, it does it again when I stop hovering over the tool. This is more then just illustrator, the entire computer display flickers when it happens. Here are my specs:OS: Windows 11 HomeCPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor 3.70 GHzGPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 TiRAM: 16.0 GBDrives:  (C):  SSD 193.5/224    (D): SSD 536/932      (E):  SSD 24.4/112

Seem like a few on here have had this issue since the update for 2021, lets find a solution for this. As title describes, functions that used to have a shortcut by double-clicking do not work.  When double clicking any object, it does not isolate.  Nor does double clicking on text with the selection tool enter text editing mode.  All functions that use double clicking are no longer operable. Every program in the Adobe suite does this after the 2021 update.  Double click works in every other program in Windows, so it's not a mouse setting. Thanks for any help

When I look at the image normal sized everything looks perfect but when i scale it down the lines of the beak on the parrot turn white for some reason. I did save it as responsive, tried different decimal points, and even made the beak outline thinker but nothing seems to help. Pretty please help.

I am having an issue with illustrator hand tool. The tool will not deselect.  I've tried selecting other tools and still.  I have restarted illustrator. I also reinstalled illustrator.  Currently using Illustrator Beta.  Is there someting i am doing wrong? 

I'm looking for a script that will create various box sizes from dimensions stored in a csv file.I've found a reoccuring thread when using a PC and VBA but i am using a MAC so am looking for a .jsx solution.Can anyone help please?

It would be very helpful to have a toggle in settings just like the "scale strokes and effects" for text.  A checkbox for "Scale text" would allow re-scaling of a block of layers but maintain the font size in all of the text if unchecked.  Very handy when doing lots of event maps with tons of street names and the client decides to add something just out of frame so you have to re-scale the map.  You grab all the layers and scale down and it gets pretty tedious to bring all the street names back to the font size you want for that project.  Same with scaling up to show detail areas.

i have to resize a large number of Illustrator projects, each having 8 artboards with individual PSD images placed to size. There must be a way to resize each artboard with it's PSD file together instead of manually resizing each PSD file on each resized artboard. Any advise would be fantastic!

How can I create and edit preflight mode?

I was in the middle of drawing, when suddenly all color, gradients and pictures disappeared. Why? How do i get them to come back? All color and pictures are still visable in the layers and it looks normal in the preview when i open illustator, but when i open the document, all color is still gone. Please help! 

Hello, I have a customer that was having issues with Illustrator where the drop down menus would stop working and the saved files were corrupting. Tried a complete purge of all adobe apps and background files but the problem came back quickly. Next step I removed all adobe again, backed it up with Time Machine then erased and installed fresh OS Sonoma 14.4.1 (Mac mini M1 32GBs of RAM), restored data from backup and installed the newest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom. Illustrator is now working perfectly without any issues except when she selects Export As, select Use Artboards and file type PNG, click Export. The next window that pops up you can choose Resolution, Anti-aliasting, Interlaced, and the Background color. Normally in this window she would get a tiny preview of her artwork in the next window that pops up. Starting after the first purge that preview went away despite two full reinstalls of the applications. I need to get this preview back for her as it was

I have a photo of people and have deleted the background so it is clear, saved as .PNG, and then placed it onto a colour background in illustrator. When i go to print it is changing the colour of the background. It appears perfect on screen, but wrong when printed. Attached is a photo of the print out, where i have moved the clipped image down on Left image and the true colour of the block behind is correct (just a top), vs Right Image, where i havent moved the clipped image and the colour behind is too dark. I have opacity set to 100%, out of my depth now, if anyone can please assist and forgive my poor terminology Thanks 

I have a pink line next to the text at every line break. How do I remove it?

Hi, I hope somebody can help me. Everytime I start Illustrator (26.0.2) I get this error window: It appears again when I open a file. The real problem comes when i tried to export via "export for screens" sometimes it says that is unable to export, I have to try several times until it finally let me export the images. I call to the adobe support and recommended to use the adobe creative cloud cleaner tool. I reinstalled the whole CC suite but I have still the problem. I reinstalled the 25.4.1 version of Illustrator version and works ok. I work with and Intel Core i9 10th gen as CPU and an Nvidia P620 as GPU running over windows 10. All tdrivers updated.

I really wish Adobe would implement bleeds in illustrator that can be specific to each artboard. So for example I might have a project file with multiple types of print art where each type needs a different artboard bleed. As it stands now I have to adjust the bleed for each before exporting to print or create each artboard of the project in a separate file.

 Hi  I have one problem when i import my image png to illustrator. I got a white stroke arrond the image.this is  the png : this is when i impot the image in illustrator  (problem come: when i zoom in and zoom out):when  i try CTRL+E the image is pixelated. help !

What's the weird logic in ExtendScript's GrayColor definition? JavaScript Object Reference grayColor.gray description: “The tint of the gray. Range: 0.0 to 100.0, where 0.0 is black and 100.0 is white.”We know that in Illustrator grayscale 0 is white and vice versa. If you want to create white fill:  point.fillColor = new GrayColor(); point.fillColor.gray = 0;    

When I try to place a JPEG (3" x 3" black house icon) on the top (Logo) layer of the document shown below using the Place command, nothing is placed and the layer is deleted.  Any ideas why?  I've never had problems with Place before.  This is on Windows 10 x64.  Thanks for any tips.  I've also attached the image (since it's blurry in the preview) and a short screencap movie showing the behavior. 

I'm new to illistrator I take PNG line drawing and trace them to SVG to 3 D print through Tinker Cad and Tinker cad does not see the thikness of the stroke it see the gap in the path.I need to increase the Gap in the path any suggestion?
