hola, cerré mi illustrator porque se estaba trabando y al abrirlo de nuevo, despues de cargar el programa, mi pantalla se queda en negro. ¿Alguien por aquí sabe como arreglar eso?

I'm attempting to recreate Herbal Essences logo as an excercise. I made a clipping mask with the circle in the center but the entire flower is inside in the shape of circle. How do I replicate the way the flower petals go past the circle creating a 3D effect, while the bottom half of the stem is perfectly inside the circle.

Friends,I want to take advantage of StationeryHQ's new elevated ink wrapping paper option, but I am getting stuck on the directions, as seen HERE.Mainly, I don't know how to do step 3:Step 3: Prepare Artboard and LayersCreate a new artboard that represents each of your 5 channels. You'll have one artboard for each channel.Place the artwork for each channel on its respective artboard.Organize your layers so that each artboard contains only the artwork for its specific channel. I am trying to create wrapping paper with elevated ink elements. I am starting with a pattern block, then filling the full size artboard with a fill of that pattern. I'm supposed to make an artboard for each spot color channel. I don't know how to separate the colors so that each artboard only has one of the colors. Or is that even what the directions are asking me to do??? I have attached a sample pdf showing the artwork. The elements in black are what should eventually be a gold  elevated ink.&nbs

Can someone please point me to some legalese describing how I can use graphics generated with Text to Vector? The legal department will want to know.  I created an icon, and the client likes it (yay!), and wants to use it on packaging. I want to make sure we have the rights to do that.  I converted it to outlines and tweaked it, added some text and whatnot. It's no longer connected to the original prompt.  I found this: https://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms/adobe-gen-ai-user-guidelines.html, which specifies in #8 that "... if Adobe designates in the product or elsewhere that a beta version of a generative AI feature cannot be used commercially, then the generated outputs from that beta feature are for personal use only and cannot be used commercially."  So is there someplace that says that Text to Vector cannot be used commercially?  Please advise, thanks.  

hi all,I would like to know if it’s possible in Illustrator to create a perfectly equidistant centerline from the entire edge of a letter, for example. The one you see in the attached image was done manually Thank you. 

I created a graphic with lines and arrow heads.  When I proceed to export it as a PNG it's showing my lines as broken lines....they appear to be "dashed" but they are not... i checked and checked again, over and over!   I've gone as far as copying individual elements to a brand new workspace and then redrew the lines only to have it do the same thing!  After several attempts doing the same process and suddenly,  one worked.  It seems like a glitch but I don't know if I'm just doing something dumb?  Hopefully someone can help me out! 

A client is requesting SVG for printing a complex Illustrator logo on a large flag. Is this the right format for that purpose?

I'm trying to select objects with the same appearance with an action. All of the items have the same fill color and opacity (transparency) setting. I cannot select Same > Fill color as some objects with the same fill have a different opacity. I cannot select Same > Opacity because not all the transparent objects have the same fill. (Both of these Select options do work in my action.) My action is creating an object with the same appearance attributes (fill, opacity) and doing Select > Same > Appearance. When I create this object manually, the option selects all the objects I want, correctly. When I record the creation of the object, so when it plays back it creates the same object, playing back the Select action doesn't select anything. Is there some appearance attribute I'm missing? Something that perhaps doesn't get recorded so it isn't there when the object is created by the action that is there when I do it by hand?This would be a whole lot easi

Ive looked everywhere and cant figure it out, I don't need it for what I'm doing

Everytime I toggle the Smooth tool, a popup comes up right in the middle of the page for, I dunno, Smooth tool options or whatever, along with options on how to use it at the top of the page. I am turning it on with a custom key shortcut, which I set to "S." I've been using the Smooth tool for forever and don't need instructions, and the popup comes up right in the middle where I'm working. Turning off contextual task bar doesn't help. I am running Adobe Illustrator v. 28.6. When I opened it this morning, it updated, and now this horrible popup for the Smooth tool has been driving me crazy for the past hour. Please let me know if there is something I can do to turn it off.

 Hello, I have an Illustrator file that is 3 GB in size and I need to export it to PDF with a maximum file size of 60 MB. It is important to maintain the high resolution of the images within the file. Additionally, the file contains 55 artboards, each with a size of 1080x1920 pixels. Note: I unchecked the option (preserve illustrator editing Capabilities) also the compression (bicubic downsampling to 150 ppi-jpeg- maximum) in both color and grayscale and the pictures are all Embedded not link but the file won't be exported unless the pictures get pixels.

I live in a 3rd world country and the prices of adobe products are very expensive(like 1/3 of some peoples sallary). I had used a pirted version of AI to use in one of my contents that has over 100k views. I'm sorry for pirating, should i delete the contents reffered to or just give credit to it?And In my religion pirating is considered onekind of theft so could i be forgiven?Thanks ❤️

How can I know how many objects I have selected in Illustrator? Sometimes I work with hundreds of files and I would like to know if Illustrator can tell me how many I have selected. Thanks for the help.

Is there an easy way to tell how many paths I have selected in Illustrator CS4?I have a bunch of tiny line segments on the artboard, I want to make sure that I have enough for what I need, and I don't want to have to hand count hundreds of them to be sure... is there a readout somewhere in the Illustrator UI that'll tell me how many things I have selected??

links disappear in my work or I get strange previews.

In the text, all characters have been selected using the following code    textFrame.textRange.select();    However there is another problem - if I go to another window and copy any text and try to paste it in Illustrator using the system hotkey, it (text) is pasted as a separate text frame. Instead, you need to replace the selected characters with characters from the clipboard, but it doesn't work this way. A new bug? The same scenario is working when you do it all by tools.

Hi there, Illustrator beginning here. I have a basic basic question that should be pretty easy to do but I cannot seem to find a way to do it. I searched through the previous questions but didn't find anything that matches. I am trying to scale a shape drawing with pattern brush without scaling the stroke width itself. Here is the setup i have: 1. Define a pattern2. Create a stroke brush using the pattern3. Draw a shape using the brush This will draw a line with the patter size that was defined by step 1. However, let's say I want to draw a new line but with the pattern but just bigger. I would like to be able to change the size of the pattern dynamically (e.g., without having to define a brush for each size). I cannot seem to find a way to do this. If I change the weight of the stroke, it does change the size of the pattern but it also changes the stroke weight. I tried both with "Scale strokes and effects" turned on and off but they all produced the same resu

I was working on project, great ammount of work and time was spent. My time worth a lot of money. I saved my work. Illustrator crashed. I opened it again and it recovered my work. I HAVE SAVED MY RECOVERED WORK AGAIN, to have the most recent version. ILLUSTRAOR CRASHED AGAIN. I opened and it recovered all my windows except the one I saved. I went to save file, but Illustrator didn't save the progress I just saved after recovery. It gave me previous version. I went to recovery folder, but there was not recent recovery file.....!!!! What the heck?! When your software will be stable at last!?! I have to do my work again spending my valuable time. What I am paying you for?! Your software should be free of charge regarding such bugs. I think a lot of people are considering switchin to another brand. So am I!

Having an issue similar to this: Solved: "TDR detected" illustrator fails - Adobe Community - 7762234 today. Have tried several things over the past few weeks and the issue seems to keep popping back up. graphics card is a NVIDIA Quadro K4200 so the drivers listed aren't specifically helpful for the current pc build. I've tried using the most recent drivers as well as updated Illustrator to the most recent version. Windows updates are also up to date. I've uninstalled/reinstalled illustrator, repaired the Microsoft C++ Redistributible options, and ran a SFC /scannow which did find some corrupt files. I just restarted and will try to use it again. I did not try turning off enhanced lines yet and while turning GPU performance off may work it's not a viable fix long term when projects need it to function.Just posting this in case the error pops up again and I'm in need of some more help.Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.Matt
