Hi, I use adobe illustrator for studies ends, and it is lagging, Before I thought that was because the number of study slides that I was with, but then when I restart my notebook, it started to be normal for some time when I open the application, but after a certain ammount of time it started to lag again, specifically more when I delete letters. Is there something I can do to remove this lag completely? 

Hi, I'm having an issue where my document tabs/document window are detached and I've tried everything I can think of aside from reinstalling illustrator or upgrading to Big Sur. As well, Illustrator will not minimize, if I hit cmd m on mac it will minimize the document tabs but the control panel and top bar are still visibile.  - On most recent update of Catalina, don't want to go for Big Sur yet- I've closed illustrator, restarted computer, and made sure all CC apps and CC are up to date - I've reset/switched around workspaces, nothing resets the "detached/undocked" documents. They're always undocked regardless of workspace selected - Tried Window > arrange > consolidate. Have tried windows > arrange > float then consolidating and still no luck  Using fullscreen mode returns some of the functionality I'm used to but of course I have to cycle out in order to go to my other open documents.  Hopefully someone has a solution, attached sc

Dear Everyone,I have an online student whose Illustrator window is undocked (see image below) and nothing I have suggested is helping. She doesn't see a blue outline when clicking and dragging the window up like it should. Her application frame shows up. I keep thinking it's a glitch or a preference.... I was having some problems with Illustrator yesterday. some of the panels such as swatched and appearance stoped responding. I've never had this problem before and assumed that restarting my computer would fix the issue. It didn't. Then I thought if I deleted and reinstalled the app that it might resolve the issue. unfortunaly once I unistalled the app the 2022 version disapeared from my creative cloud. My machine is too old to run the new version and It isn't giving me the option to download the newest version that works on my 2015 mac. I transfered an even older 2019 version from my even older laptop but it is 3 years older and doesn't want to open my newer files. Does anyone know how to access the Adobe Illustrator 2022?

I created artwork on an 84" x 84" artboard then selected Save As... to create a PDF using the Press settings. I then uploaded the file to my printers website. Once there the dimensions show 35" x 35". Any reason what would causde this? Thanks. 

I'm not seeing the Text to Vector Generative AI tool in Adobe Illustrator panel. I have the most up-to-date version, 29.0.1.  What am I missing?

Hello everyone, my name is Sofia and i'm an Illustrator from Portugal and i've been experiencing some strange things with my Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat!  In my illustrator artwork (file) elements from my artwork have been missing or disappearing and little things have been changed, like for instance, the last thing i've noticed was the texture i've done myself on a tree, round half circles, once again, done handly by me without creating any texture per say and when i opened the file to continue working they (this time) weren't actually missing but the color was blue instead of dark green, what i mean is, they went back to the color they were before i started painting them. My Acrobat is showing in one particular work way too much vivid colors, colors that are way too much vivid then in my actual Illustrator artwork, did i saved it wrong on the Pdf i've generated? I don't know and last but not least, when i take screenshots in my new Macbook Pro Max M3 computer the colors w

When i curve/warp my text it's streches and changing. What do i have to do to avoid this problem?

Sorry, I'm sure this is the stupidest question ever.  I think I've accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut, my Selection Tool is acting just like the Direct Selection Tool. I can't get it to select whole objects, in fact it doesn't really select anything. When the cursor comes near a line, it's accompanied by a rectangle with 8 dots on the perimeter and one dot in the centre. Or sometimes it has a small black rectangular dot next to the cursor.  I don't think I'm in isolation mode Please help, I can't use illustrator at all Help!

I'm trying to create a line art image. All shapes in the drawing to be transparent with a solid stroke. I would like foreground objects to mask any paths behind them that overlap. So in effect the foreground object clips all detail beneath it, but without any fill. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Having error with illustrator. Copy&Paste became delayed, the All Swatch, Brushes and Symbols Tabs are mysteriously filled with plugin things that came from a file I downloaded in Freepik. I tried fix it with this given link but cannot be fixed, This 1st message pop up whenever I open file that has been infected. While the 2nd message pop whenever I'm trying to do my work in the [infected] file. : https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/copy-paste-artwork-slow-or.html. I tried re-save my files into different names and in PDF format. Error bums Cannot be fixed. I tried update and revert to older version, cannot be fixed. I reinstall seems fine, but when I open some of my files again, the error returns. Seems like a virus that even infected my files from the original file from Freepik download. The file I was working on was forced shutdown and the edits from yesterday day was gone. After it reopens, there was no recovery file, no version history from the day. I tried find it in core sync and data recovery in window tab as recommeded by the community and nothing works. My Illustrator desktop app normally would autosave all my edits, but not this time (and the latest version history was "last 16 days"). Can anyone help me, I was working really hard on that. How can I make a linear gradient that has more than one dimension? I want a rectangle that transitions from blue to purple from left to right, and it also transitions from light to dark from top to bottom.

Using the hotkey for Eyedropper tool with the Text tool active and text selected replaces the text with “i”. Is there any trick to invoke the Eyedropper tool with a hotkey so that the selected text remains selected?   

My team converts a number of vector artwork into Bitmapped .tiffs with transparent backgrounds. Currently our process involved copy and pasting each individual file into photoshop to make the conversion. This seems like something that could easily be handled by the asset export window, and would save my team quite a bit of time. Any plans to add this file type or ideas for a quick work-around? 

Hi, Thanks you for any help provided.  I recently updated to masOS Sequoia 15.1 and since then when I try to downlaid images from adobe stock (vector images for illustrator) the files download with ai.download extension and are not able to be opened by illustrator.  I am using Adobe Illustrator 2025.  Is there something I am missing or something I need to do.  I have not had this problem before the update.

When trying to enter a new swatch color in Illustrator (blue hex #5aaec7) I keep getting a different blue hex color (hex #58adc7). When I try it in Photoshop it works fine. Thoughts?

Prezados, Há alguns dias não tenho conseguido trabalhar com o Illustrator por causa desse problema que aparece no video em anexo. Resumidamente, a janela "layer" não para de abrir e fechar e não consigo desabilitar a jenela. Aguardo uma solução.

Olá! Muitas vezes, ao tentar salvar um arquivo no Illustrator, a janela de  salvar se abre e aí fecha no mesmo instante, não dando tempo de fazer nada. Reinicio programa, mas acontece o mesmo. Alguém sabe o que pode ser? 

Is there any trick to select Group Selection Tool using the same hotkey as for Direct Selection Tool? 

I am trying to collect for output, but it is not gathering the photos used in the file to the folder. I made sure the images are not embedded, and I have all the checkboxes selected to gather the links. The fonts are being collected fine and it is making a package report doc. Happy to send screenshots of the steps I'm taking, if that better explains the isssues I am having. Thank for any help you can provide.

I have a basic design on a spread in InDesign (18.1), and I wanted to take it to Illustrator (27.5) to properly complete it. I created a document in Illustrator with the matching dimensions to the one in InDesign. I then tried to manually recreate the object (using the rectangle tool, I matched the height/width), I then matched the angle of the object (the height/width values automatically change), and also matched the X, Y coordinates. However, the object was not in the same place as it is in InDesign. I tried using ChatGPT to help me out, but all I got out of it is to set the ruler to global rulers, click Shift+O and set the artboard coordinates to 0, and then double click the small square in the top-left corner. However, if I double-click on the square, the coordinates of the artboard are no longer zero, and if I set them to zero, the ruler values of the artboard aren't at zero.I do not undersand what is happening and how to overcome it.
