I have an end user whose telling me her and her team have the issue with the cursor sticking to objects;  she has also stated she does not have the Magnet app installed on her macbook. What she states in her ticket:I have an end user with this complaint - however - she says she does do not have the Magnet app installed on her macbook.   I pointed her to the Magnet issue and she followed up saying it's not installed.  I check JAMF and I do not see the app on her macbook. "Hello, My full team is having the issue noted in this article that sounds like it is because of another app on our computers. Hi everyone,  So I've been trying to cut out these logos with the shape builder tool. I'm almost finished, but everything is so slow I am loosing it. What am I doing wrong? Is there an easier way to do this that I don't know? each shape I erase takes at least 3 minutes to load through. I don't know if this is happening only to me but for some reason the object won't %100 align  with the guideline... 

Hello,Very new to illustrator so apologies my wording isnt perfect. I am trying to fill a shape in a way that the edge of the shape is hard, but the shape is transparent in the center. i tried blurring the stroke, outlining it and cutting it out from a copy of the shape, but it seems to rasterize the gradient, and its more transparent than i was looking for.(first image) Is there a better way to achieve this effect? (second image is intended effect, just not vector artwork) 

I am currently working on a dialog box again. Question 1:For the first time ever, I want to enter and use a value from an input field.But something seems to be wrong, or my thoughts are somehow wrong... Question 2:It would be really cool if you could click on the individual items in the list and they would then appear in the corresponding order at the bottom of the text field or the result would also be transferred. Why do I have to go in enter the printer settings twice from illustrator to my epson 4800 printer. I have never had this problem before. I'm starting to think it might be a Windows 11 problem.

I don't know if this is related to the latest update or not, but this didn't happen before.After saving the SVG file, Illustrator adds its own groups and layers. How can I disable this? before saving (layer > groups): same file after saving (layer > group > layer > groups):  

Is there a way to use AI to generated a repeatable vector pattern from an image? I want to convert a png abstract pattern into a vector that can then be tiled. Possible?

The best way for me to ask this question is this:I opened two tabs in .ai(A) One tab has a saying.(B) Another tab has a set of quotation marks.I want to put (B) in the artwork of (A).Simple matter of Copy and Paste.Question: When I paste what came form (B) on to my artboard of (A), the pasted quote marks appear smack in the middle of my design of (A).Isn't there a way to control where the item from (A) gets pasted on (B)?  If so, then How do you do that?   

I'm looking to resize the Red lines on here so that they are the same size as the Green lines and stay at the same angle and the same relative position on the clock, I'm having problems achieving that could anyone offer any advice on the best strategy, many thanks.

My Adobe Illustrator crashed, but fortunately I was able to recover my work. It was a PDF file and I made sure to save it to the cloud. However, this morning I checked my cloud and the only version of the file was last edited three days ago, and all of my changes were missing. Please help, it's due today at 6pm and I'm completely lost and scared.

Illustrator" Open" and "Save As" dialog box default screen positions are in one place and "Print to PDF" dialog box defaults to another place.  Even if I move them around after they open, the boxes still never open in the same position on my screen.   Please see my attachments.  Computer specs below; I'm on Illustrator version 28.5. Edition Windows 10 ProVersion 22H2Installed on ‎8/‎5/‎2021OS build 19045.4651Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19060.1000.0 Why does this happen and is there a way to make all of these dialog boxes always open in the same spot by default on my screen?  This annoying little glitch happens to all of my collegues at my work as well, not just me. This issue is more of an annoyance than an actual problem, but would still be nice to not have this occur.

Why can't I export this logo?

Whenever I import an image to Adobe Illustrator, it always reads the colours as duller/more washed out than they actually are:  However, I don't have the same problem with Photoshop: Both of these are in RGB colour mode, but switching to CMYK doesn't help either.These are my colour settings in Illustrator:Is there any setting that I've accidentally toggled that's led to this problem? As far as I can tell, it's the same as the factory default but I'm not too sure. Any advice will help, I asked my instructor at university and they're as stumped as I am. Thanks

Olá pessoal, de vez em quando acontece uma situação nos computadores onde trabalho, que é basicamente conseguir abrir duas instâncias do Illustrator, mesmo tendo apenas uma versão instalada. Para contextualizar melhor, sabemos que tendo apenas uma versão instalada, é possível abrir apenas uma instância do Illustrator e nessa instância, trabalhar com múltiplas janelas e arquivos dentro dele. Mas de vez em quando de forma não proposital, conseguimos abrir duas instâncias do mesmo Illustrator. Durante algumas exportações de arquivos que desenvolvemos, o Illustrator passa longos períodos processando e impedindo a interação com outras janelas e arquivos abertos para desenvolver outros trabalhos - principalmente exportando ativos em várias camadas ou exportação de múltiplas pranchetas. A minha necessidade é em saber como abrir duas instâncias do mesmo Illustrator propositalmente, como no print anexado.  Notem que são dois Illustrator abertos, e não duas janelas no me

Hello,We are considering switching to a business account so that each of our design team member can have their access.But we also would love to use the Share link for review for internal and external review process.The question is:Let's say we have 3 users on the business account.User 1 creates a document "painting.ai" , saves it on the cloud storage and invite user2 and user3 to work on the document.User1 creates a link for review using the "share" button on top right.The client gives feedback.If User3 then open the "painting.ai" document from the cloud storage, will they see the comments from the client?User3 does the modifications, then click on share, will they be able to use the "update content" feature to update the artwork on the review link? Or will it generate a new link because it's a different user?

Hello. It really seems as if there is a fundamental problem with 'smart guides.' Why is Adobe not dealing with it? It's something pretty important to any graphic package. No matter what I do, no matter how many similar articles I read- none will take me away from a seemingly default 45 degrees. I've read more posts than I care to count and the fact that so many have the same problem suggests that something is really wrong with this programme.Can anyone suggest any alternatives? I remember this programme from years back- it was more basic but it worked.

The script does not process all visible and unlocked items in the document. is it because of the duplicates? Objective:The working script should duplicate items with fills, remove their strokes, and delete the original items' fills. After processing, the script should:1. Duplicate match item (change fills, strokes).2.  Create three layers named fills, strokes, and both.3. Move items to the corresponding layers.4. I'm using a wacom tablet with a touch ring set to zoom. When drawing with a brush and zooming in or out, I get the annoying smooth tool pop up.  This is because the smooth tool shortcut is alt, and the zoom shortcut for my touch ring uses alt.  How do I get rid of this pop up?
