Hi,After switching to a new computer, I'm having an issue with laggy zooming in Illustrator; moving objects or the canvas also lags quite heavily. The problem occurs when Overprint Preview is enabled. The complexity of the files doesn’t matter—the issue occurs even when the file is empty and has no objects at all. On my previous computer, using the same version of AI, everything worked fine. I’ve read tons of threads related to this issue and tried all the suggested methods (reinstalling, deleting preferences, GPU preview, etc.), unfortunately nothing helps. Every version of AI lags; currently I’m on v29.6. My computer:Ryzen 9 9950XRTX 506032 GB RAMWin 11 I’ve made an interesting observation. I currently have two monitors connected: an old Eizo with a resolution of 1920×1200 and a BenQ with a resolution of 2560×1440. When I move the Illustrator window to the Eizo, everything works perfectly. On the BenQ, it lags terribly. However, when the Illustrator window is not maximized,

Hi. I have a critical UI issue in Adobe Illustrator on Windows. The text in the drop-down menus is completely garbled and unreadable (character encoding fail).I am using the Ukrainian language version. Steps I've already tried: restarting the PC and reinstalling the app – didn't help.Please look at the attached screenshot. Is this a known bug with the locale or a font conflict? waiting for a solution. 

Hoping to gain a little clarity on the Pen tool in Ai. I have created a Rectangle using the Rectangle tool. I want to set an anchor point on the side of the rectangle and move the line towards center. In other words a "V" shape. In using the Pen tool to insert an anchor point I would expect the line (path) to move in towards center. However only the anchor point moves and not the path. The information shows me it is an anchor point created using the Pen tool. Only when I apply an anchor point using the Add Anchor can I move the path. Trying to get a better understanding of the Pen tool.Thanks

Left side one org file. But right side one open file. why showing blend issue?

Suddenly in the newest version of Illustrator, art that bleeds past the artboard will hide the name/number of the artboard. Very problematic for exporting. Does anyone know of a way to change this or is it a glitch with the new artboard format they rolled out?

The actual size of a new RGB file doesn't match 100%. A new file of 1024 px is displayed much larger. When I measure it with Command-Shift-4, it measures 1326 px on the screen. Copying/pasting a screenshot also produces a much larger image of the screenshot in Illustrator.I'm using version 30.

How to import Pantone.acb in Illustrator Color Swatches

So, we cant undo selections any more. clearly most people do not work with DWG files with lots of overlaped shapes... to create floorplans and siteplans in illustrator, selecting existing shapes is so time consuming and if I press Ctrl-Z all selected shapes stopped being selected and all the selection needs to be done again. Terrible idea to use undo for actions only.And before anyone comments on the "Select by" options, that only works if the DWGs I am working on, actually have different colours and line thikness, and that is not the case quite often!

I am trying to make a pattern brush with 1/8" circles. The circles need to be approximately 2 ft apart. So if I draw a rectangle that is approximately 48" x 96", but will place three circles along the bottom and 5 circles along the sides.    I got it to work fairly well, but the dots in the corners aren't always aligned. What do I need to do to make sure that the corner tile is aligned correctly at the corner?   It's just happening on the lower left corner, not on any of the other three corners.   Corner dots is misaligned Misaligned corner     Side Tile Side Tile     Corner Tile Corner Tile

Using the eye dropper on Adobe Illustrator causes it to crash, something as simple as a tool we've used for decades and know it just crashes the app, its it fair for us to pay for an absolutely useless software that only makes you lose time... please update it, I beg you guys, im not doing anything out of this world just trying to adjust some vectors 3 simple vectors, nothing else... just 3... 

HalloIk heb recent een Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge aangeschaft en probeer Adobe Illustrator te downloaden via Creative Cloud. Tot mijn grote teleurstelling merk ik dat er voorlopig enkel een heel beperkte webversie beschikbaar is en dat de volledige desktopversie niet kan worden geïnstalleerd op dit toestel. De Galaxy Book 4 Edge draait op Windows 11 ARM met de Snapdragon X Elite chip. Hierdoor zijn veel populaire apps, waaronder Illustrator, nog niet compatibel. Volgens Adobe is er momenteel geen native versie van Illustrator voor ARM beschikbaar. Ze raden aan om feedback te geven via hun UserVoice-platform zodat dit sneller opgepikt wordt door hun ontwikkelteam.Voor mij is dit een groot probleem, omdat ik Illustrator nodig heb voor mijn examen in januari. Het is zelfs doorslaggevend of ik deze laptop zal behouden of niet. Mijn vraag is dan:- Zijn er concrete plannen of een tijdlijn wanneer Illustrator beschikbaar zal zijn voor de Galaxy Book 4 Edge?- Zijn er tijdelijke oplos

I upgraded to Illustrator 2026 yesterday, and today it's telling me it can't open many of my files because "the account you signed in with doesn't have access to this file. Contact the owner for more info." What?? I'm the owner....I didn't create a new account...what is going on?? Somebody please help, I'm locked out of so many important files. 😭

I have a JPEG of a 1939 Wyoming map that I'd like to overlay with a line of the route my father took on his motorcycle.  Rough idea attached below with orange line sketched in amateur freehand with my mouse.  Ideally I'd like to have the line precisely match the old Highway with drop shadow, glow, and the like. Perhaps use Illustrator to make a line with Bezier curves etc?  But that seems onerous.  Any ideas welcome - thanks in advance! Wyoming-Small.jpg

Dear community,I can’t make any progress on my own anymore and need help.A few days ago, I updated Illustrator to the latest version, and since then I’ve been getting these strange errors in my paths (see attachment). I’m using a drawing tablet (XP-Pen Artist Pro 12) and the latest Illustrator version on Windows.Since these errors only started appearing after the update, I tried installing older versions - but that didn’t help. Of course, I also reinstalled the graphics tablet driver.Does anybody have an idea what else I can try?

I'm using Illustrator 2026 and finding myself struggling with artboards. The name is now on top in a bright font, and as I add graphic elements that are bigger than the artboard, they cover the name so I can't see it. I also can't select or move the artboard. I’m trying to apply the same appearance from one object to a group of objects, but the appearance only applies to one piece of the group instead of the whole thing. How do you do this? When I alt-drag an appearance, it only applies to the singular part of the group of objects that I release the click on.

I tried restarting my computer, Illustrator, changing the name of the file, changing the predetermined program associated to .ai files but nothing works. When I try to open it, it says "Reading illustrator files" but nothing happens after that.

Okey I'm genuinely lost on this matter. I have an assignment where I have to animate an illustrator file (a hero guy where his arms and cape move). I already got the illustrator file but it's my job first to put both arms and cape in separate layers so I can animate them since they're all in one big layer. Here comes my issue, I exactly copied the steps my lecturer did. I made a new layer ''right arm'', I selected the right arm cut it and went to my layer ''right arm'' and clicked ''clicked to target'' and used the shortcut ctrl+shift+v to paste in that new layer but instead it made a whole new layer for me called ''isolution mode'' and I don't know? I followed the exact same steps my lecturer did so why does it not work for me? PS the screenshot is in Dutch but you should get an idea what the layers mean.

One 'feature' that really bugs me about Illustrator is that you can make many changes to a document, save it as a PDF, turn off Preserve Editing Capabilities, and Illustrator will mark the document as 'saved', allowing you to close it without prompting.The risk is that you can easily lose work by exporting a low-res proof, and then accidentally closing without any warning or prompts that you will lose the editable file. It would seem like a simple fix, don't mark the document as saved if saving without full editing checked. BTW is a NOT a fan of how Illustrator does dual formats ai/pdf

Is there any on-going issue with the Montserrat font family?It is not listed on CC that it is expiring anytime soon, but I've been getting some weird issues on AI, with some of the variants of the font not showing on the list (ex. Bold, Semibold, but the italic versions are there).Today I had to uninstall and reinstall the font twice...Oddly enough, the font seems to work perfectly fine on InDesign.I'm running on a 2024 iMac with the latest Sequoia OS. All Adobe apps up to date.Anyone?

Hello everyone,I'm trying to write a script that changes the default fill content. It is pretty straightforward for RGBColor and CMYKColor (and NONE), but I'm finding difficulty finding a way to place a gradient or a fill by name (they exist in the swatches so a if there's a way to set a swatch to the fill can be a solution.

hi There, I am using Adobe illustrator and a new mac book pro. However, the lasso tool is not giving me any options - such as polygonal lasso etc, also some of the tools are greyed out when i open the "all tools" section. I cleared my library cache as advised by the ai assistant with adobe - but still its not working. Any help would be be much appreciated? thanks !

Hello,I believe that the Blob brush "merging feature" with the same fill color is a bit too aggressive, so much that I'm considering it a bug. In the attached example, I have the neck selected and I intentionally set it to "Draw Inside" because I only intend to paint inside of it. the problem is that "Draw behind" gets circumvented when I paint with the same color (the darker color here) that an area outside the "Draw behind" area has (the face shadow). In such a scenario, the expected behavior is that we remain within the masked area, and the blob brush would only join with paths with similar fill that are within that mask.Should I post this bug in https://illustrator.uservoice.com/ or would it be seen here?
