Hi thereI'm using Adobe Illustrator v30.0 64-bitI've this problem happened to me throught the years while working on Adobe Illustrator multiple times, and now it happening more often;The problem is, while working on layers like dragging a shape layer then undoing, all of the text layers got selected by itself, and I can't just remove the selection by pressing outside the layers or artboards, I found out I can resize it with the bounding box handels and then undoing my step again and it will got deselected, other than that it's so annoying and takes time espicially when need to redo and undo every once in awhile so I might have the same glitch over and over In the uploaded screen-recording video, an example of it's look like where all the text layer got selected automatically while working and I'm trying to click outside to deselect and it's not working, also I had here a new glitch where I tried to lock the selected text layers and didn't get deselected so i tried to do the resizi

Since the Illustrator 2026 update, it has been impossible to set up one of the two monitors on a dual-screen system to work with a Wacom tablet. This worked perfectly with previous versions, but is no longer the case. When I force my Wacom driver to set Illustrator 2026 to only one of the two screens, the pointer still has access to the second screen when I am using the Illustrator interface. Is Adobe planning to release a fix?

I've got this logo where I want to move each corner of the boundary box independently.Logo is all vector - create outlines/grouped.. ready to go.I hit the E key - I get the Free Distort tool activated. I then hit the CMD key, I see the select tool, I select the corner of the boundary box - Nothing. Nothing budges. Am I missing a step/button? This is Mac AI 3.0

Hello,I would like to import a picture in Illustrator and use a "Levels" function like in Photoshop. Does Illustrator has the same function in it ?

When I "Save As", why does the file explorer open in the last folder I saved a file to instead of where the folder was opened from? Is this a Windows issue or an Adobe issue? It seems like a very simple thing that causes additional wasted time.

I have a DNA pattern brush that I use quite a lot but when I try to implement something like perspective, I can't get the look I want. I used a variable with stroke on this pattern brush and I don't like how the width tool seems to scale only in the vertical dimention, squishing the pattern, the look of which is technically scientfically inaccurate. I hope you can see how the DNA in the top "row" is differnet than the DNA where I added the little magenta arrows. It starts to get squished as the width decreases,  and it keeps getting more and more squished.Is it possible for the pattern to be scaled in both the vertical and horizontal using the width tool? Or is there another way I should be thinking about this? See screenshot. I'm using the latest Illustrator on the Mac OS. Thank you!

So all of my designs have been done in RGB in Procreate. But now I have people wanting my designs turned into stickers, tshirts and such. Which I have done some already. The sticker company says it has to be in CMYK. So first I created a CMYK canvas in Procreate and imported the image and the colors look absolutely horrible, not even close. Did some digging and found out Procreate's color conversion isn't good and they're working on it for a future update. So then I decided to export it to Illustrator for iPad, which I'm very unfamiliar with using as of now. So I've exported in in various file formats and they all convert the colors equally, but the CMYK does look much better in Illustrator than in Procreate. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to do this and get the color accuracy at least as close as CMYK will allow me to as my original RGB? Any other process that's guaranteed for the best results? Any tips on how to color correct it after it has been imported? Also

Why cant i find/access glyphs in illustrator 10??

i'm sure i used to know what these pop-ups were called but now cannot for the life of me remember and i want them TURNED OFF - illustrator is now just bloatware.... have tried turning off tooltips in prefs  (both kinds) and unchecking all things associated with smart guides in prefs and even smart guides (fully off) - but it persists. it's driving me insane - you can't see areas beneath it - so it's hampering getting work done. here's two images of what i mean - shows angle, etc.  is this now a bug with the latest update??? - aaargh - any help would be so appreciated - thanks!!!!!!!!!

Since my Illustrator updated to v30.1, saved .ai files have been turning invisible in the Finder. The files save normally at first but will later seem to disappear. The file is still where I saved it, just invisible. I can still open the file from Illustrator's "Recent Documents", and doing a "Save As" into the same location prompts a "File already exists, do you want to overwrite?" message. The only way I can see the files is to use "Cmd+Shft+." to Show Hidden Files. I am on a Mac Studio running Tahoe 26.1   

I just updated to Illustrator 26 and there are a ton of things I can no longer access the way I used to. I cant select same color, menu is grayed out. Its not a live paint or anything. I can draw 2 shapes on a new doc and got to select and it will not let me. Also cant use Pathfinder option not avaible. Most of the menu items are all grayed out?????

Tengo un problema al exportar solo en JPG, me crea un archivo de 0kb, en los otros formatos como PNG, SVG Y TIFF se exporta bien, formatie mi pc pensando que era un error de sistema, vuelvo y trato de exportar y tengo el mismo problema, necesito solucionar ese problema. Ya probe con todas las formas de exportar para JPG y nada.¡Ayuda!Gracias 

So:   1. I'm forced to pay 86.55 € every month for Creative Cloud, up like 10 € from last year.   2. The app keeps crashing (on Nov 2024 24GB MacBook Pro). It didn't use to before.   3. The auto-recovery, which's been working fine for the last 10+ years is for some reason taken from us—it takes you to the last-saved version, any untitled files just vanish.   Really? Like wtf, why would you fumble the bag on this caliber? This is ridiculous. Do you recommend going back to earlier version?    And for all the patronizer splainiacs out there seeing this as their opportunity to shine and write "don't rely on auto-recovery save your files" – pls save the rest of us, you're not special, literally everyone gets that. Without you saying. Like literally just don't write it.

Everything works fine until I try to save the file. At that point, Illustrator becomes very slow, and it often takes almost an hour to complete the save process in Adobe Illustrator 30.1. Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?

I have vector objects in Illustrator that are reduced to 1/10 of their original size when exported to other vector programs. I was able to fix this by copying and pasting into a new, larger document. However, I had 2 vectors of the same shape, but one was to have an offset of .125 inch. After pasting the vector onto the new document, the offset vector was .0125 inches (1/10th).

I have a pencil sketch vector file of a Hindu deity. I want to convert it into clean line art. Is there a one-click or smart way to do this?

Hello everyone, can anyone tell me how to turn off the information above my drawing area? It sounds strange, but it bothers me enormously. 🙂 I've looked everywhere and haven't found anything suitable. I can click on it, but I can't delete it completely. Hi everyone,I'm pretty new to Illustrator and I need a little help with something.I got a design for a logo, so the background needs to be transparent.In my first design ideas I used a white circle, put a black box above it and then just wrote over it.As you can see the end of the white line from the circle is straight.But when I combine the box and the circle, so that I can have a transparent background later, it turns out like this: I want the end of the white line to be straight. How do I do that? Can I do that?

When exporting from ArcGIS Pro, and opening the .aix files in Adobe Illustrator, there is an initial error warning saying "to preserve appearance, some text has been outlined" and my project has issues with some lines of text being outlined which makes it challenging to edit or reflow the text. There is no pattern to discern which lines of text are affected and no symbols in the lines of text that could cause an issue. It is completely random which lines of text are outlined and when re-exporting the same project layout from ArcGIS Pro the same lines of text are affected. I have only noticed this with the font Palatino Linotype so far. I have tried exporting from ArcGIS Pro using different fonts and they do not have the same issue. Illustrator is updated to the newest version, the plugin ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud is on version 3.9, and ArcGIS is updated to the newest version.

When I cut-and-paste layers with content (with Paste Remember Layers) the pasted copy doesn't go into the selected blank layer but duplicates and leaves content in the existing layer. Paste-in-Place acts the same way. How does one copy-and-paste content to a new layer, and/or to a new artboard? Personally, i love adjusting sizes and positions just by simply dragging arrows around using my mouse. It is far simpler for me, if each time drag something it doesn't "jump" too far. I know it could be set somewhere in the top toolbar, but i've done that on someone else's computer. Also, the sensitivity has been much higher by the time i was starting my project. If somebody could tell me how to deal with this, or reccomend me a better way to do these size adjustments etc. it would be lovely.
