Hy, Since i installed the new Mac Os Tahoe i have had issues running Illustrator and Photoshop together.The Mac starts to get very slow and the fan and the fan running at high speeds.Any one had the some issus and no how to resolve ?   

  It's the same file, but there's this difference between the new and old versions. Please, what's the solution to this problem? 

Hello, how do I change the default image tracing settings? I saw there was a way to edit the Vectorizing Presets file for older versions, but it doesn't seem to work for me on Illustrator 2025. Is there an updated method? My goal is to make the default the Silhouette setting that ignores white, so I can just get that with one button or to incorporate it into an action. Thanks!

Hi there,   I want to switch the display mode of the color panel with action. CMYK, RGB, HSB, and Web safe RGB. I thought it went well. However, only Web-safe RGB does not respond to execution even if it is recorded. Is it a bug? Or is it just a Japanese environment?  Regards.

Hi,I installed few native language fonts from Adobe fonts and I do see them in illustrator but they are visible in english when applied. Even in preview they are visible in English. How do I get the native fonts like Hindi, telugu etc. In Adobe fonts they are shown in native language font. I restarted the application multiple times, enabled indic fonts in preferences.Any help is appreciated!

i wish in the next update we could select colors in gradient option and there obesities

OS is Windows 11. The software just freezes when I try opening any of my files. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, restarted my PC, and removed all previous preferences. Nothing works! I have been facing this problem since Dec, when I updated Illustrator to the latest version. I am unable to get an earlier version of illustrator. The problem seems tobe because of the latest updates. Please help. 

I just did an update for Illustrator and the artboard box has a much thicker stroke/border. Any solutions to this? Its very distracting to have a thicker art board outline.     <Title renamed by MOD>

I have a multiple artboard layout for a tradeshow wall that I'm building in Illustrator. After updating to 2026, I now have artboard text overlays/slugs within my file.  I need to know how to turn this off please.  I provide screenshots to the client for approval and this is slug is going to create more problems for me with the client than it solves.  See attached.  

Hi! Illustrator seemed to update over the weekend. I opened a file and a "grid repeat" pattern is not showing up. When i hover over the artwork it shows its there and I can copy and paste the original set of circles with the correct colors.  I tried re-doing the grid repeat and it just did the same thing. Not sure what to do.

I'm sure I used to be able to drag a folder from my saving windoiw into my Finder side bar (alias) when saving a file from Illustrator? Is doesnt seem to be working now. Anyone know how to fix this. I have to come out of Ilustrator, go into finder and then drag a folder into my side bar in Finder. Very tedious. I'm sure you used to be able to drag a folder (creating an alias) straight from the saviong window in Illustrator straight into your Finder side bar? Or did I just imagine this :-))) I'm using Illustrator 2024 28.7.5 and Mac OS 15.3.1

I've been having a problem recently when I place a bitmap image on a page save it (save as illustrator file), then open said illustrator file in Photoshop to rasterize it, it jumps (moves) half way or sometimes all the way of the page. When I open said illustrator file again in illustrator and re save it (save as illustrator file), take it then into photoshop rasterize it, it then is in the right position. Has anyone ever experianced this and if so, how did you fix it?

Illustrator will not create a clean enough gradient, as in a sky, or background, large area, without printing with horizontal lines. It cannot produce perfectly smooth gradients???what's up with that?It's not the printer, I was told to use photoshop, but that doesn't allow for the control illustrator has with color and adjustments.

The new dithered gradients option in v30.0 is finally here (something I've been missing for ages), but it has an unfortunate issue.   The dithered gradients are created as raster images with a clipping mask (as I would expect), but the raster image of the gradient gets padded with white (instead of an extension of the gradient) starting at the exact edge. 😬   As a result, at various zoom levels on screen, you end up seeing a ~1 px faint white edge due to interpolation/resampling that really shouldn't be there. It is even visible on the artboard while working in Illustrator (here i found a zoom level that made the unwanted edge painfully obvious): It will be visible in e.g. PDF files when viewed on screen. Luckily it shouldn't show up on print (but if the PDF gets downsampled it likely will!!!)...   This should be fixed ASAP before too many people start using the new feature.

Illustrator has several symbols to guide users in their projects. However, the symbols appear either too small or to cryptic to be very helpful.Create an Appendix within the User Guide to define the meaning of the symbols.

I'm starting to get fed up with Illustrator and Photoshop. In the past month, I have had issues where files take 20 minutes to save and issues where the program just stops opening a file, forcing me to try opening the file several times before it actually opens. Now, a file I literally JUST saved, which again took 5 minutes to save (after making one small change since the previous save), is corrupted for some reason. I have been working on this figure for the whole week, and now I am going to have to start all over again.  Is this something wrong with the latest update? Because from what I have seen on the forums, saving and opening issues have been coming up a lot. I'm beginning to wonder why I am paying so much for a program "subscription" when it's causing me so many issues trying to get my PhD thesis done. Is there a way to get the figure an all the layers back? Or am I going to have to resort to getting Affinity Designer instead? Thanks

Hello. My employer is running on the Creative Cloud.  We cannot install the Illustrator cc 2022 (Illustrator v27).  Without it, we are not using our cutter and we NEED to. Where can I access a desktop version of Illustrator V27 as it is no longer accessible via the previous machine (it died).  My Creative Cloud has updated to v30 with no way to return to v27. Only serious responses please.

I've updated Illustrator to 2025 and I'm getting a plug-in error. I first get an error message saying plugin issues detected and it lists 24 plugins. Then I get another error message saying it's running in safe mode and has disabled InpaintingAI.aip. Illustrator fails to launch even in safe mode. Can anyone help?  

I'm creating a logo with about 10 graphic elements. I create a layer. I activate the "target" button. I create an object.  Illustrator sends it to a different layer. Whether I'm creating text, or objects, the elements land on a layer I'm not working on.  How do we ensure that the layer we're working on is where our work appears?  Said in reverse: How do we keep Illustrator from telling itself, "I'm bored with this layer. I'll send your work somewhere more interesting."  Thank you. 

NVM SOLVED! Needed to turn on bounding boxes. https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/selection-tool-not-showing-anchor-points-for-resizing/td-p/15536521 When I'm using the select tool this little box has appeared next to my cursor. When this is active the select tool is behaving strangely - I can't resize or adjust the object. I have to use the direct select tool which isn't helpful when I want to maintain the scale of the object.  

Es increible la cantidad de bugs, errores y mal rendimiento que tiene el software, con cada update es PEOR, es desmotivante e injusto pagar mes a mes un software tan costoso para obtener un producto tan deficiente y de pésima calidad, estoy harto del performance de este software en general, Illustrator tiene muchos mas bugs que en 2024, qué pasa???? 

We work as a team on Windows, files are linked from an area like "C:\Users\UserName\SharedDrive\" where the user name changes based on the team member. Illustrator 29.4 can handle this change. For example, if Jane and I are working on the same file, she can place a file with a link C:\Users\Jane\SharedDrive\file name.jpg, and when I open the file, Illustrator updates the link to C:\Users\Sarah\SharedDrive\file name.jpg with no issues. Jane updated to Illustrator 29.8.2 and suddenly all her links appear as missing on my computer. I tried also updating to 29.8.2 and links remained broken. We both downgraded to 29.4 and she resaved the file, links are working again for both computers.   This seems to be a bug in Illustrator 29.8.2.

I'm on MacOS. When previewing an .ai file in Finder, there will often times be phantom objects visible in Finder Preview. These objects are always duplicates of whatever is actually visible on the artboard-- usually it's a phantom object in the position the object was in the last time I saved the file. When I open the .ai file in Illustrator, those objects do not exist. The objects are not hidden; they are not on some other layer. This is particularly problematic because those phantom objects are still there if I open the .ai file in Photoshop. If I add the .ai file as a Smart Object layer in my Photoshop file, the phantom objects are there. If I attempt to edit that Smart Object, Illustrator opens up and shows the phantom objects are not there. Saving and closing DOES NOT FIX IT. Sometimes toggling the visibility of the Illustrator layer the objects are on and then saving fixes it. Sometimes toggling to outline mode fixes it.
