Questions

Today I tried to open Illustrator on the iPad but the opening page kept winding. I couldn't even sign in to Adobe there, despite having received the link. I had requested a link in order to reinstall the app - sometimes this works. But I couldn't reinstall it either. All other Adobe iPad apps work well. Adobe desktop versions are also working fine. Please help. Specs: Macbook Pro-OS Monterey v12.4 and iPad Pro 2, v15.5. Thanks!

When drawing paths with the apple pencil on the iPad is there a way to make paths connect?  When I draw, it will look like the likes are connected (as seen in the full flower image below), but when I zoom all the way in, the paths don't actually touch. I need single line paths that touch for the glowforge. I have been drawing an image and then zooming all the way in and painstakingly hand connecting every anchor to a line. Is there a better way? Is there a setting I can enable that would automatically snap a new line I'm starting to the one I'm trying to draw off of? 

Hi, every video and tutorial I've seen shows a + sign to add fonts that you've already downloaded, but it doesn't show up on my app. Am I missing a certain feature?

I have imported an image into my illustrator on my iPad and I am trying to identify the pantone colors. I am struggling to find anything helpful for the ipad app. Is it possible to select a color and it give you the closest pantone color?

Is the lasso selection tool available in Ai for the iPad? If not, does anyone know a work-around for selections that work like the lasso tool?Thank you!Jennifer

Hey everybody,  i would like to print a Zine. The Zine is in A6, so a A4 paper devided in 4. Is there any option on Illustrator for iPad to Layout the pages, that when i print the A4 with front and backprint that the numbers and pages in the Zine are in the correct order? Thanks for your help! 

I've made a custom OTF font and uploaded through the Illustrator app on the iPad. I've since made changes to the font and resaved the file. When I try to reupload the new version, it uploads it but the type still looks like the old version of the font. I have tried saving the font with a new file name, but when I try to add it in the app it says the font is already uploaded. I don't see any option for deleting or uninstalling the font. How do I update it with the new version?ALso, I don't see this custom added font through Adobe Fonts Creative Cloud, just on my iPad.

Hi,I use desktop Illustrator but for love nor money can find how to offset path in the new new Ai app.  I specifically want to offset path on text. I can see how to outline text but that's it...please help...I love the way this app feels but can't use it unless it has this feature as I need to thicken all lines so I can send finished work to plotter for engraving.Thanks in advance,Inez

Is there a way to select all, when you want to remove the standard color swatches in a new document in Ai on iPad? Right now the only way I know to remove these swatches is one by one, holding down the pencil until I see the choice to "Edit" or "Remove" each swatch one at a time.

Hi, I'm new to using illustrator on iPad. Just created a new file and has been working fine up until i downloaded some fonts in Creative Cloud to use in illustrator. As soon as i started trying out my new fonts in illustrator, it started to crash nonstop. Now i can't open any files, and because i downloaded a bunch of fonts, i don't know which particular font is causing it to crash.  Is there a way to figure with font is causing the problem? or do i need to delete all fonts? and if so, how do i delete all fonts at once?  thank you!

I have the ipad 9th gen for college we need the illustrator app to do our assignments it very hard to do them when the app keeps crashing, i have gone through the setting i should be compatible with the app and have even. Deleted and downloaded again nothing works this is the main reason i bought an ipad please help asap!!!!

Bonjour à tous, je découvre Illustrator et je suis sur un iPad Pro. Je suis une formation sur internet pour me former correctement, la formation est expliquée sur un ordinateur avec les raccourcis clavier etc. Jusqu'à maintenant j'arrivais à trouver les raccourcis sur mon iPad, mais là je bloque. dans la formation il nous explique comment faire des effets spéciaux sur des formes crées. Exemple on créer un rectangle avec juste le contour et on veut mettre l'effet néon sur le contour. Ou autre exemple on créer un triangle avec une couleur de fond et il le met en griffonnage. Je ne trouve pas sur l'iPad comment on peut faire ça.... Sur ordinateur c'est sélectionner la forme>effet>spécial>Lueur externe  si quelqu'un a la réponse je suis preneuse 🙏 Merci d'avance      Moved to Illustrator on the iPad by Moderator  

I am currently trying to open Creative Cloud files with newly installed OTF fonts in Illustrator on the iPad Pro. The files open but the font will not display properly. It is an OTF font (Madison Street Pro) that I've installed both on the device and on Creative Cloud.  The font won't display at all, the text boxes just show as blank. If I select another font, that font is displayed on the screen, but when I select the font I installed, nothing happens. It shows up in the dropdown options, but when selected, it will not display on the iPad.  (The file and font works fine in Illustrator on desktop). 

Our family is using family sharing and the adobe subscription was made through one of the member's accounts. However, only me is using the Illustrator on the iPad and I would like to change the subscription billing details so I could pay with my account. I cannot find how to do it because none of the accounts can see the subscription neither in the settings menu nor in the AppStore. Did anyone know how to change billings details or cancel the subscription so I could subscribe again through my acc?

Latest illustrator on iPad 2020 pro freezes when adding text. So frustrating!! No way to dismiss this box. The "ok" button doesn't work.  

Hi, I'm using Illustrator for iPad Pro (12.9" - 5th Gen, with a 2nd Gen Apple Pencil). Whilst I don't have any issues with using the pencil for drawing lines/curves etc or general operation, for some reason if I want to rename a file using the "scribble" feature and write text it doesn't work. This only seems to be on AI - I don't have any issues on any other app on the iPad including other Adobe apps eg. Fresco. Is this a known problem or has anyone else experienced this? Not a big deal I know - but a bit annoying that I have to keep swapping to keyboard when I'm full flow.

Hello Having real issues - cannot open Stock vector images (licenced) into Ai for ipad.Brand new iPad Pro - so this shouldn't be a problem from the iPad's POV.From Adobe Stock on the web page; the icon 'open in app' doen't respond and when it does - it tells me 'to use the "Open in" feature you must be logged in to Adobe Creative Cloud' (I am).Then from Ai; I select 'Import and open' - select the adobe stock file from 'Downloads'  and I get a red error box saying '! cannot open adobe stock_234567.ai' I have searched threads on this community and cannot see a workaround for this.Please can somebody help - I have work to submit by Friday!!!Many thanks

Hi,Mit dem Update auf iOS 15.4.1 stürzt IA regelmäßig ab, mit der Aufforderung die lufende Bearbeitung zu speichern. Alle Änderungen erscheinen als einzelne Versionen des Dokuments auf dem iPad und nicht mehr, wie bisher, lediglich in der Cloud - Versionsverlauf. ??? MfG

Hi guys, I'm using Adobe Illustrator to edit Artboards and for some reason, I am unable to export the files into any format. Export takes a long time and in the end it just says: "Export failed." Has that ever happened to you? Any advice? Thanks!

Hello. I'm licensing vector images from stock and when try to use the 'open in App' button (Ai) I get a dialogue box 'could not open your file' - make sure you're signed in Adobe CC (and I am). So try from the other angle - in Ai (app for iPad) use Import and Open - go to Downloads and click on the stock item - and get read box; cannot open file [number].ai - So frustrating. I've tried searching online; how to get my licensed images into Ai but no can do. Please help.
