Questions

I am somewhat new to adobe illustrator and few issues I keep having are, the grids wont change from dots to lines when I select the option to change them. The second issue, which is one that is causing more trouble, the anchor points I have will not align to the grid in any similar positions and im not sure how to fix this. I've tried moving two similar points to complete new areas and in no way will they align, it is almost as if they are operating on a separate grid from each other? I have tried turning smart guides and snapping on and off, changing the measurements from inches to pixels and nothing seems to be a solution. I attached some screenshots showing the anchor points being moved as little as possible as well as some screenshots moving the anchor points as close as possible still does not have them aligned even when the numerical values show that they are so im unsure what is causing that. Good morning,When I use Illustrator on the iPad, opening a new document or sometimes opening an already created document, the app crashes and needs to be restarted.I checked the version of the app and the OS of the iPad but they are both at the latest version available.I also tried reinstalling the app but the problem persists.What can I try to fix the problem?Thank you

How can I copy a shape from one layer to a new layer? I cannot find any help on this online at all~ Very frustrating. I have a shape on a busy layer that I wish to copy and paste on a newer layer and I do not want to redraw. Help! 

Since uploading the newest update Illustrator won't open, I have deleted the app and also deleted Creative Cloud several times and isn't nothing has worked. please provide any resolutions 

Countless issues.I've wasted DAYS trying to export one design.  The app closes out mid design. The app will not let me save my work. The app will not show the whole design when I try to open a file. The app will not export as PNG or AI files. The app does not work as it should for the amount of money we are paying for it. Even Adobe customer service will not explain or fix the issues, or issue refunds. 

I downloaded the Adobe Illustrator app for my iPad, it worked for 2 days. After that every time I click the app, it opens up for .2 seconds and then crashes immediately and doesn't let me open or use the app at all. I have reinstalled the app numerous times, each time it opens up to the log in page just fine, then the second I type in my log in information and it realizes it's me, it shuts down immediately and continues to not let me even open it. I check for updates every day this past week, and nothing. It works perfectly fine on my laptop. I have no idea where to go from here.

Hello I recently got the new illustrator app on iPad, I love it but I see that it is automatically saving every file at 75 dpi. What's up with that! I need to adjust that but I can't find the setting for it when I start my design, also if I import a design from a 75 dpi resolution into a higher dpi file will there be an issue with resolution? I'd hate to have to redo my whole design again..thanks for the help guys

I've been working on a file for a while and have been able to export as .ai previously, but now when I click export as ai the 'exporting' text appears and then just disappears and nothing happens. Other files are fine.I want to save it and then scale it to a new larger art board to finish work on it. I've been working on a small scale as the tools I want to use come out better like the pencil for outlining elements of the picture.. It has over 60 layers at the moment and I don't know whether file size is the issue. I have iPad Air 3rd gen.any help or suggestions appreciated!

The reorder of layers functionality on Illustrator for ipad isn't working and I can't find anyway to fix it. Really need some help.All tutorials I have read suggest that you simply click and hold then layer, then drag into new order. But my version won't allow you to drag the layer at all. What am I doing wrong?

I am unable to move and place objects with precision while using the iPad. Is there a way I can do this?

the ipad app has some kind of bug, it is a white screen with distorted buttons that don't work when I login. I have reset my ipad and deleted and redownloaded but it is still the same.

Hey Y'all, I'm an architecture student trying to move my workflow over onto the iPad (its hard). When I try to export my work to a  psd file to open it in procreate (since the default png export is 72ppi), it doesn't export, save, upload to gDrive, or anything as a PSD or SVG. This is particularly interesting since it does work for a heavier file I've worked on my iPad, in comparison the file in the video is nothing. Has this happened to anyone else? I know the app is relatively brand new but why does this work sometimes, and others not? Alternatively I would love a way to export 300 ppi .png as well if someone has gotten that to work.

Bonjour,J'ai récupéré Illustrator sur l'ipad et je trouve que c'est un outil extraordinaire...Cependant, il y a une fonction très utile que j'utilise sur la version bureau que je ne retrouve pas dans l'appli ipad...c'est le fait de repasser avec le pinceau ou le crayon sur un tracé "actif" afin de le retravailler...en effet dans l'appli, le fait de rappasser sur un tracé génère un nouveau tracé au dessus du précédent au lieu de le "remodeler"...c'est assez frustrant...Est-ce que c'est moi qui m'y prend mal ou est-ce que l'appli ipad n'intègre pas cette fonction ?Bonne journée à vous,

So, I signed up for the subscription for the illutrator on the iPad juts now. Mostly, I am trying to convert my photos and paper based illustrations into vector art, and see if I can enhance them from there. I have an ageing iPad Mini."2019 Apple iPad Mini with A12 Bionic chip". So, it's pretty old. I am surprised the tablet is still running.  Now, this is what happens. In all these scenarios, I am creating a new document, and then, loading up one of my photos. I am a photographer, so most of the photos of high quality photos in large size JPG or RAW format from the camera. 1. Sometimes, the vectorization process begins in earnest, takes its own sweet time (5 seconds to 20 seconds), and I get a nice vectorized output. The default output is color and it looks amazing. Hey everyone, Recently the illustrator app paint brush and blob brush have stopped filling in the shapes, but the pencil tool does so I know the app still has the capacity. Curiously as well, the secondary function button disappears when those are selected vs. other tools. No matter what color for fill I choose, when I draw, it resets, and even more frustratingly, it doesn't allow me to choose a fill after on closed shapes. I've tried to show the disappearance and switching in screenshots below. Hi, I'm very new to Illustrator and I only have it on the iPad. I am trying to get words into the shape of mountains. Every tutorial I have seen is on the desktop, and that does not help me because I cannot use those shortcuts. I think the part I am getting stuck at is the Envelope Distort part, because I haven't found it yet on the iPad. Any help? 

How to write in Arabic language specially in iPad 

My app keeps crashing!!! It opens but after a minute it crashes!! I made sure that I updated to the newest version. But it just keeps crashing. Also tried restarting my iPad. How can I fix it?
